What does "Motion to amend pleadings" mean?
I own a court hearing and it say Motion to amend pleadings. What does that mean? Water boarding... torture or not?
Answers: Well all congress requests to do is pass a directive saying that this practice is torture and it is unjust for any gov't agency to engage within it. I'm not saying at hand wouldn't be a court battle over it but the tenet would probably stand.
Now ask yourself why congress hasn't done this.
Added Later: After reading your additional details I'm for a time confused about your conception of what American soldiers do surrounded by the field. From what I've read waterboarding is single used by the C.I.A. Care to clarify?
Added Again Later: Except for rare exceptions U.S. soldiers own never tortured and never should torture anyone. I think the U.S. Military would integral heartily agree with me. Maybe Military Intelligence interrogators should, but that is to say up to the commanding officer on the scene. I can certainly see occasion when this would be necessary.
Let me be clear. Waterboarding is a form of torture (I will not mince words) but I can see when it may be called for.
No matter how we treat capture combatants they will still torture, mutilate, and murder our troops. I don't think anybody have died from waterboarding.

Ok...none of the general public above that condones water boarding have ever actually gone through it. I almost did drown as a juvenile. Nothing, and I mean nought, is more terrifying.
My big distress with allowing hose down boarding is, what if just one character is actually innocent that we hose down board. When someone is faced near death by drowning they will utter almost anything to make it stop. If a short time ago one person admit to working with terrorists because of marine boarding, but is actually innocent, consequently our country has become a disgrace.

This debate has gone on road too long - I really don't give a damn if it's categorized as torture or not. Torture is fruitless and cruel. What ever confessions are made during is to stop the torture, not report to the truth.
Don't believe me? Ask Senator McCain. He was POW for 5 years where on earth he suffered terrible torture at the hand of the North Vietnamese. Just about every bone contained by his body was broken, his frontage broken many times and other atrocities. He'll give an account you, you will say anything to trade name the torture stop. Your manager's personal guarantee may own been sincere - but greatly ill advise. Unless he is directly responsible for the layoffs, he really wasn't in any position to recount you that.
Chalk it up as experience and be a little more skeptical within the future to such "guarantees," - especially within today's labor market.
I seriously doubt that you enjoy any legal recourse. Hopefully, you will find a better assignment and write this experience off as an opportunity to broaden your horizons.

At this rate, its just going to be recall anyway. Why not just bring industry backbone to America?Answers: The world economy have become global and we enjoy other countries manufacture things for us because it is cheaper (often at hand is less labor regulation and more citizens who will work long hours at tedious industrial jobs). They manufacture things within China for way cheaper than we could construction them here. You say we should bring industry fund to America, but this is no simple thing. We would own to establish many, tons new commerce facilities, hire associates at minimum wage, provide insurance, limit working hours, and do adjectives kinds of things that would drive costs up compared to what we are paying from other countries.
(By the passageway, I'm not saying that this is ethically right, a short time ago the financial reality of why this happen.)

When you factor in the following:
China have a labor force of over 800 million
They have laying-off as well as underemployment problems
That will keep hold of wages and cost of living low for decades
China also has a incredibly stable society and government.
Plus an plethora of natural resources
Therefore, businesses move about to China because its considered a good business climate.
The best bellwether of how thriving a country is, is not through our government or the media, but rather through industry and how much is invested surrounded by foreign countries. China is a very nontoxic country to invest in, that is to say why billions are being invested.
As far as bringing job back to the USA, the first writ of business is to reduce wages, the second writ is bring down the cost of benefits, the third is to bring down the cost of living. Are you willing to suffer through that?
