Why is extraterritoriality OK in the David Copperfield covering?

I thought extraterritoriality for sex crimes only applied when the victims be kids. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocate that rape is OK for illusionists or anything like that-just curious as to how the US can charge him for something that happen in the Bahamas.
Answers: It's a dodgy allowed theory. The US Att'y is claiming that because her trip to his private island begin and ended within the US, and the complaint was made to the authorities surrounded by the US, where both she and he live, they enjoy jurisdiction.

There is a provision in US tenet for the prosecution of people who commit crimes against Americans overseas, but it commonly requires that the local authorities get the 'first bite of the cherry'.

In this bag, though, she flew to and from the private island directly from the US, and was thus powerless to contact the Bahamian police.

I'm sure lack of jurisdiction will be one factor of his defense, so we'll have to see what the courts say aloud.

Would you risk having someone come and live next to you if you know it's against the rules?

i have be living in my place of residence for a bit over 14 years. i purely renewed my lease yesterday. i was thinking going on for having someone to move surrounded by with me but, not to report it. description the rent will stay the same and we would cut my current rent within half along next to the phone bill only.

when i recert. she looked me motionless in my eyes and said it is against the rules to hold someone stay with me next to out reporting it. it was approaching she could read my mind lol.

well, i know for a reality that other residents have their family unit members living near them but, they get away near it.

what do you think?
Answers: i wouldnt opening it mona!! 14 years is a long time, you prob have made alot of frinds and a pefect home out of this place.and finding somewhere unsullied to live in such short mind (if you get caught) would be intricate!!!! i would think roughly it very accommodatingly, especially with you have a family and adjectives!!!
What part of "is against the rules to hold someone stay with me near out reporting " Isn't clear to you. The others may have reported and be paying extra.doesn`t matter what.

Don't risk eviction and a huge bill.
The fact is that if your proprietor finds out, you may get a identify to move in five days. I don't know if I would find it worth have to move after that many years.
I know race who got a five light of day notice basically for having pets that they weren't supposed to own. I guess it depends on how big of a risk you are willing to purloin.
What does it say within the lease? And just how disappointingly do you want to stay there?

If it's not stated within the lease ignore it. If you do hold to report you have a room mate and the cost of the residence remains duplicate go ahead and relay. If the cost of the residence would go up-- I'd be looking for a different place. Your innkeeper is price gouging.

You said 'when I recert'. What does that miserable?
Don't risk it hon;14 years is a long time,it's not worth it.If it is a family bough, just include them on the lease and make it clear to them that they will be responsible for chunk of the rent.
Good luck!
It is only against the rules, does not connote they will throw you out. I don't think they will, and I don't construe if you tell them they will increase your rent. Don't you despise the fact that you settle up your rent and can not even pain a wall surrounded by your apartment cause even though you foot your rent on time every single month and they say-so it is your home they don't even let you paint a wall on it?!

Sueing a modeling agency for payment to be exact owed?

I'm a promotional model and I work as an independent contractor for a variety of different marketing companies/ modeling agencies. Prior to this, I've never have any issues with not acceptance payment that be due. However, I worked a tradeshow for a privately owned, out fo state modeling agency. Everything seemed legit but afterwards I didn't receive the check when I was told that I would. I have to keep contacting the owner to ask where on earth it was and she have continued to make excuses. I simply found out that another promotional model had to sue her for money that be owed. So now that it's adjectives that I might also have to sue her for what she owes me, how do I jump about doing this? I know how small claims court works but since I live within Michigan and she is in Indiana, what are my option?
Answers: Laws and procedures vary from state to state and rules to inforce pronouncement depend on jurisdiction. It is best to go to the court and ask them directly for direction.
Did the event take place surrounded by MI?

If so, you can sue in MI, but if you win you'll hold to domesticate the judgment into IN within order to collect, so it might be freshly as easy to jump ahead and sue in IN anyway.

Get someone to christen acting like a legal representative (a real attorney if you know one)... it might scare her into paying short having to budge any farther.

If I am to receive $800 in child support -- how much is my ex-boy friends stipend per year?

My ex-boyfriend is willing to paying $800 and he will not detail me how much he makes. We are trying to hang on to it out of the courts. I think he make about $80k per year. Is this a rational amount?
Answers: Support dosen't go by his income, here are statues of limitation on paying child support. If this amount is for 1 child after it is more than enough, and your not rightfully entitled to more, he dosen't have to support you to. Even if it's for 2 kids this is more than adequate support for your kids. Yes this is more than fair!!
One child is 50% of wages. Two children is 2/3 of the wages.
Why hang on to it out of court? What if he wins the lottery or something? Get it contained by writing, otherwise, someday you'll wake up, and you'll own nothing for that precious child.
His "willingness" should own nothing to do next to it. Don't try to avoid the courts and arrange this yourselves - you will always lose out. The courts should determine, base upon his income, the number of children, other obligations, etc., what he is competent to pay. Otherwise oodles men start thinking of child support as some bonus they can offer whenever they own extra money lying around, ignoring the reality that their children need to chomp through even when they CAN'T afford it.
No way to guess what he is making. Tell him you want to see a W-2
The certainty that he is not willing to make clear to you how much he makes should indicate that he is not paying you as much as the state would require. That human being said, states differ slightly. Typically, child support cannot consume more than 33.33etc… percent of your income. Most states have to step by that guideline. I make within that neighborhood and pay capably over 1k per month in support. I do it minus hesitation, it is his child as powerfully, he needs to step up.
thats plenty for the kid, not for YOUR use. If he plans on anyone part of the kids life span then purely leave it resembling that. While you are at it, find a job yourself and use a FREE condom subsequent time and stop being a gold ingots digger.
Stop being a damn gold ingots digger. The money is for the child not you. Your ex boy friend is not a walking check book. $800 dollars a month is more than enough money to serve support a child. If it's not I suggest you get stale your lazy a-s and obtain a job. It's your child too. The self-assurance of some people!

When a child recieves disability benifits from a parent and that parent becomes arrested for criminal reason?

Does the benifits that the child is recieving stop
Answers: I believe that the child would be removed from that parents home, and if there is someone else contained by the home deemed a responsible parent, I would regard as the benifits would still be available for the child. I don't think the child would suffer,..it depends on who get custody, I am sure
The benefits continue since the child remains disabled.

However, if the parent is incarcerated & as a consequence unable to vigilance for the minor disabled child, the probate court would intervene unless an alternative capable grown caregiver could be established as guardian of the minor child.

The disability benefits would then walk to the child IN CARE OF the new caregiver

Can you think of one valid source for a private citizen to own a Kalashnikov?

I realize this is opening the undamaged issue of gun ownership and control but I wanted to focus on this individual weapon.
Answers: you know, I always believed surrounded by the 2nd Amendment, and citizens who want to collect weapons, should be competent too. BUT, It seems that every sick psycho young person with a bug up his a@ss & a loss wish, basically so happens to own a father or step-father who has these ordnance just baggy around the house for show-n-tell, and does not know how to safeguard them.
I carry a concealed handgun, legitimately. If I was at the precinct, that sick sob wouldn't have gotten his second shot past its sell-by date.
Maybe as part of a collection

Maybe because they are a Russian History buff and it have sentimental value.

Maybe for personal glee? Is there really any valid explanation for owning a lot of things bar the fact that you might personnally close to it? (ex. I own a video game system and in that is absolutly no practical reason for it and it serves no purpose, except the fact that I soak up using it).

Maybe even for protection, though I personnaly would want a hand-gun for that.

Hope that gives you some thinking!

Updated: lol claire b . . . "a good warring arts expert would quickly dispose of anyone pointing a gun at them"

Only if it be Chuck Norris!
Well then that's one smaller amount the Rooskies can use!

/stuck in the '80s
Because it's functionally no different from any semi-automatic 7.62mm rifle.

As to why I'd own an AK surrounded by particular, over a some other semi-auto similar to an M1 rifle - they're inexpensive, they're reasonably powerful and accurate, and they NEVER preserve. An M1 is about 3 times as expensive.
An AK-47 or Kalashnikov as you christen it is a fully automatic weapon used by many third world nation.
What you see on TV all the time are probably not Kalashnikovs but look alikes such as the Maadi from Egypt, or Yugoslav guns, or even Norinco from China.
They only fire contained by the semi-auto mode meaning one verbs, one shot. They are fairly not exact over long distances but they do hold 30 rounds.
One reason, I collect missiles from different eras. I have the Garand, the KAR-98, the Enfield, the Mosin-Nagrant, and the M-1 Carbine from World War II. I enjoy owned an AK-47 (MAK-90) and a M-16 (AR-15). They have never kill anyone nor have they be pointed at anyone. Why are they so scary to non gun owners?
I detest to say this but the medium puts so much into these stories about the slaughter. A semi trained person armed next to a shotgun and a handgun could murder dozens. A trained person could murder hundreds contained by the right circumstances. We have be lucky that all these "shooters" own been losers near no real plan save for comic book villainism. Lets hope it stays that way.
No. Not really. I don;t feel anyone should use a Kalashnikov.its not even for protection...a good militaristic arts expert would quickly dispose of anyone pointing a gun at them.

My 96 year old grandpa is within a upscale nursing home..?

he is senile and likes to keep under surveillance (how can i put this delicately...)ADULT MOVIES. the man is non-hazardous. i bought him the boxed set of GIRLS GONE WILD for christmas. i just know this will trade name his last christmas appealing! the evil nurses and staff at pine manors rest home turn down for me to give him this. GGW is considered break compared to the REAL stuff gramps liks to watch. i bought him his own tv next to a built in dvd so he wouldn't own to watch it surrounded by the dining room with the other residents. the nurses voice he get "too excited" when he watches this. who care? the man has one foot surrounded by the grave. should i speak to a lawyer??
Answers: Oh where on earth Oh WHERE is Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton when you need them?

I know!

Call Gloria Allred. She like her mug on the news. This style of case is right up her nouns!
they say that "getting excited" in actual fact helps your memory. I don`t know it's because of increased blood flow.

I would present your adult movie dilemma from a medical standpoint in the past contacting an attorney.
Mimi: Let's look at this from another direction. Despite the fact that Gramp's still enjoy a good porn flick, the "excitement" problem probably does affect other member of the home.

Let's say your Grannie is down the passage from some 96 year old perv whose simply freshly "aroused" and sets his sights on your dear old grandma? Would you touch differently if some 96 year old senile man assaulted your grannie? It can and does transpire.

I appreciate your wanting to "help" out poor gramps! Perhaps a better solution. Come pick up gramps and take him home near you for the weekend. Let him loose with your collection and hold on to plenty of mace around.
They can change his catheter and verbs bedsores off his unmentionables, but they can't agree to him have for a time grown up time with a video and a bottle of lotion?

Maybe a state-funded nursing home would be better; at tiniest they won't care so much near.
The problem is he is in an upscale nursing home. It have been my version that most high finishing retirement homes are run by religious organizations. They frown on anything that give a person pleasure. You inevitability to get him contained by a county home. The quality of exactness would be less, but he might bring back his pee-pee sucked.

I think someone have ran sour with my friends passport to india?

from UK, how do we know if they hold, and what are our rights as british citizens to report and get our passport put a bet on
Answers: CALL THE COPS THEY'LL FIND OUT.JUST GIVE THE REAL NAME OF THE PERSON WHO'S PASSPORT WAS IT AND THEY'LL INVESTIGATE ON IT.THEY CUD FIND OUT...DND WORRY
If you really are unsure of the theft but come up with it may have happen, you really need to look here and follow the instructions. Technically the passport does not belong to the holder, it belongs to the crown.
If someone have stolen the passport and tries to steal your friends identity he/she may have problems contained by the future getting in a foreign country. Very much depending on what the thief have done in his/her term.

You need to name the police ASAP to get it sorted

Is it just me but do adjectives new law seem directed at me?

i smoke, drink, have a flutter.eat to much the one and only exercise i get is tear up junk communication. Why cant this government quit me alone i also work long hard hours to payment for myself and then they pinch 40% of my wages in due.Now local taxation in the form of council toll have very soon taken a big juicy bite out of whats departed.Leave me alone .what have i done i freshly feel bullied by my own rule
Answers: Unless you're earning far more than someone who does not know the difference between 'to' and 'too' deserves, they are NOT taking 40% of your wages. Even if you are within the 40% tax bracket it is singular on that element of your stipend above (roughly) 40k a year. On the money earned below that threshhold you'll find (if you could be bothered to stop whining and do some research) that the income rates levels currently are nearly the lowest they have ever be. And yes, as someone has pointed out, you are just about to cost the nation a big fat packet contained by healthcare, so just look on it as an investment...
you know what????

WELCOME TO LIFE!!!
I know how you surface.
I'd like to see a system where on earth we decide where on earth they spend the tax we pay envelope... At least after I'd be quite sunny how they spent my tax...
because you're a soft target, who can you complain to?

although smoking, drinking & making a bet will catch-up with you eventually.
your body will rioter against the drinking/over-eating & the gambling could become addictive, affecting your undamaged life.

so adjectives I can say is we adjectives pay taxes you are not alone surrounded by feeling the pinch.
:-(
All law either:

A) Stop you from doing something you want to do.

B) Make you do something you don't want to do.

C) Make you reward for something you don't want to pay for.

That is how government work.

Governments are like a untaught disaster. We'd be much better of without them, but we basically have to put up near it.
Don't we all touch bullied by this governemnt

Do I have a resonabled overnight case?

3 weeks ago I was fired from my mission. The reason they give me was I a moment ago didn't fit in, and I be on a 90 day probation term. Now I would have believed the probation piece had they not have me get my pharmacy citations within my first 30 days. I've have a couple of people check the computer system at the company's home organization, and they found no bad things against me..no customer, or hand complaints. SO home office also think there is no all right explaination for my termination. Yesterday I went to pick up my final check to find out that "someone" have accidently picked up my check and cashed it. My paystub was within a sealed envelope, my designation and social security number written on the front, my payment stub and cash inside this envelope. If for any common sense that enevelope had be dropped, I could have lost seriously of things from 1 so called mistake. I know that you can't simply accidentally give out a paystub, seeing that you enjoy to sign for it to pick it up. Do I sue?
Answers: For what damages?

Waste of time and money.
Reasonable case for what? Because you "could" own lost something -- you cannot sue for could have.
Because you be terminated? Unless you have an employment contract you can be terminated for any rationale or no reason contained by most states. Within the 90 days most companies consider probationary you can be terminated for not being a honourable fit or any other reason (or no aim at all).

There was a mistake - you get your money and you lost nothing as a result you have no damages for which to sue.
You enjoy no cause of exploit to sue for. You being terminated is fine. Most states hold at will employment. This means that you can be fired, agree to go, terminated or can quit for doesn`t matter what reason at any time.

As for your paycheck mortal cashed, you lost nothing, you enjoy no damages. You may want to keep track of your credit history to cause sure nothing suspicious appears, but at this point, you are SOL (and that's not statute of limitations).
Sue them to the teeth for disaster to honor fiduciary requirements (mis-handling of someone else's money). In fact, near a lawyer's help you might even find a CRIMINAL charge to consider.

The capture for termination within a probationary term is that they don't have to enjoy a good cause to terminate. Most states spot probationary periods as "special cases" and will not push issues of wrongful termination. Had you be declared a "permanent" employee (i.e. probation terminated), wrongful termination could be actionable.

Certification or not, I don't dream up there is an management for the termination.
The cashing your check thing is bizarre. I've never be involved in an employer dispute. My sister have and she found that unless your lawyer is going to receive a big chunk of bread, it's hard to find someone to represent you.

It may change where you live. Out here surrounded by CA every lawyer I've ever met is a greedy ***.

But cashing your check for you seem like they hold broken quite a few law. Call a lawyer, call for several, and go for it.
In regard to your termination, there is really no remedy here if you live surrounded by at-will state. You can be fired for any reason save for race, religion, age, or a similar protected status. If you live surrounded by a right to work state, you might have a suitcase. Its really hard to procure an attorney to take those cases.

In regard to your paycheck, there are two issues. First, liability. I contemplate the employer had a duty to nontoxic keep your personal information and paycheck. The second item in any lawsuit is damages. Here you hold little or no damages unless someone steals your identity or something happens. Most attorneys would not adopt this case, as you really are in need a adequate remedy that would be cost decisive to pursue. However, you may want to contact your State Attorney General and ask for assistance. Also, don't forget to get a copy of adjectives three of your credit reports. I am sorry your employer fired you.
