Suing employer for sexual harassment.enjoy a few questions?

okay im having second thoughts roughly my lawyer. what are some of the signs you hold a good legal representative?

my lawyer have to file charges beside the eeoc. (in texas sexual harassment must be file w/ them) well more or less 2months ago i received a letter stating they be dismissing the charges. they said their investigation findings showed no wrong doing and stated the reasons. powerfully the reasons be false. in turn my advocate constructed a rebuttal letter stating what be unture. now im really terrified that my employer is going to get away beside this. i cant believe they can just recline and then thats it, they drop the charges. in good health its been 2months and i havent hear anything. is this usually what happens? is this unpromising for my case? who determines who's describing the truth? if the eeoc drop the charges... what does that mean? is it over?

Answers: I don't agree next to the answer that the burden of proof is on you. My experience is that in the matter of charges of sexual harassment (EEOC), the burden of proof is on the company to prove that the aggravation DIDN'T happen.

I am in good health aware that this is not the norm in the USA beside burden of proof, however it has be that way within matters of sexual annoyance (EEOC) -- unless things have changed since my experience near it.

Another thing to "a short time ago be aware of" is that there are VERY strict rules/requirements for file deadlines. It sounds close to you have file, etc., OK -- so I'm not saying that's a problem for you -- lately giving you a "heads up" that in attendance are very strict deadline with the unharmed process.

I would make an appointment to see your attorney and find out what is going on -- "face-to-face". Make a roll of everything you want to know before you shift (including the questions you enjoy asked here), and review the list since you leave his/her department -- to be sure you asked everything you wanted to. Bring someone near you if that will make you more comfortable.

If in that is anything your attorney says that confuses you, or you don't figure out or agree with, ask again ... and ask again -- until you do twig. (Try to ask your question differently the second or third time if you can.)

If your attorney say that "such and such is in process" (or words or expressions close to that) ... ask him/her this question: "What is the subsequent step on that?" Then write down the answer.

When you are done talking, ask your attorney this cross-question: "Is there anything else in the region of this I need to know?"

My soon-to-be fiance is currently married. He's planning to wallet for divorce right after the holidays. However, I just read that within Maryland, there's a ONE YEAR waiting period.

We be hoping to get married right away. Do I really enjoy to wait a full year or is there a path to get around that? We already looked into other states, but that won't work any since most nearby states own a 6 month waiting period, but a 6 month residency requirement as powerfully.

I don't know what to do. My bio clock is ticking and I don't have another year to spare.

It is a one year waiting spell to be separated before file for the divorce. If he has be separated for one year, he can file for a "no-fault" divorce and that works if both party agree. If both parties do not agree, the waiting length is two years. If he has reproach grounds, there is no waiting time. He should probably speak to an attorney to get proper guidance.

My advice to you is to slow down somewhat. If he is not separated, that is, completely out of one relationship, it is really too soon to be planning another wedding ceremony. Let him see his way clear minus pressure from you. Believe me, things will turn out much better if you ease up on the pressure.

If you are terminated from your employer do they have to wage you for sick/personal & vacation time you earn? Does anyone know any web-sites with information I can find more out give or take a few?

OK, here's the deal: an employer must reward an employee for work perform. If the state recognizes break time as being earn, then that would come below the work performed code. Urn for a deceased friend ??

I really do not want to nouns morbid , but my friend passed away in March 2007. He be my God Daughter's (Neice's) Dad. He was cremated as a big man next to some of the piece's of Indian Art that he loved . In fact his score name be Indian. We are in obligation of finding an urn that would accomadate his remains , with an Indian Art inscribed . Does anyone enjoy knowledge , where on earth we could find something like this . A hulking size would acccomodate this . Since he loved anything to do with the American Indian , this would form this even more special . Please any ideas on something inexpensive , My neice is solitary 19 years old and can not afford much.

Today a cop saw me not stopping at a stop sign.
He pulled me over and but instead of stopping behind of me he stopped subsequent to me.
He shouted at me from the window and told me that he get my plate number. And then only just left...
Apparently he be in hurry so;
He did not procure out from his car,
he did not look to my licence any.
He did not give me a ticket or anything...
Basically he doesnt know who I am!!
If I draw from ticketed, would it be legal??
I miserable what if I was driving someone else's saloon??
So he is just gonna fine the owner??

No it is pretty normal. I enjoy been to lots of places from Florida to New Jersey. Without liquor and fully nude women, how can strip clubs survive? Some strippers want to do more to get your business though they are not supposed to by directive. It would not surprise me if you get some organizer in the vip room. It is totally common.
