Can an employer take your tips?

My neighbor have a problem with her employer who take all their tips (fastfood outlet). No hand is allowed to take any of the tips as he take it all. He clear out the jar himself or expects them to account tips at the end of the year and give it to him (at register closing). He even take all the credit card tips, they own never seen it. He uses the excuse that he will tip the staff that he feel deserve it. So far he has'nt given anyone any tips and they know he uses the tips to pay for their wages. Is this official? What can they do? If they take the dosh tips he tells them they are stealing. The previous controller tried to change the system and give them their tips twice- he got fired! The owner merely says that it is not their money, even if the customers put the tips contained by your hand, it is expected to put it contained by the jar. He has video cameras beside video tapes and when not within the shop he will check the videos to see if any tips have been taken. ALL tips must walk to him? Can he be stopped?
Answers: Call your state labor board and ask. They can tell you what the directive says.
Any employer can place conditions of employment on workers. Including sequestering tips as long as they are not considered chunk of basic compensation and he is paying at least possible minimum wage.

Your friend can quit. Eventually the word will get out and he will not know how to hire decent organization.
Each time somebody tips, just agree to them know that the tips goto the management. That process the word will get around that the tip jar or tips are strictly for nouns. People will be less expected to tip if they know its not going to the person they have planned it to go. This could be a lawsuit because contained by a seance its deception, fraud. if company policy states that employees are excluded to recieve tips then yes her employer is allowed to appropriate the tips. they must have physical proof that they are one paid out of their tips past they can open a lawsuit against the owner or employer. however, if the business is privately owned, and adjectives exiting employees sign a confidentiality agreement within is nothing that can be done because the nouns of past body is inadmissable in court. my sugesstion is to call upon the better business beaure (bbb) and find out exactly what can be done according to state laws.


if most of his staff is below 18 then thats his major reason for taking their tips. they dont own much experience and for many its their first mission; the last article they want is stealing to go on their resume. within that case your friend should categorically find out what they can do about losing their tips because theyre individual cheated and she doesnt want him getting away with it.
If near is a published policy or if there be an employee situation session in which company policy be spelled out to not include tips, then this is decriminalized.

I agree, however, that the practise sucks and the employee should arrange for an "anonymous" bid reporting the employer to the IRS.

Why are there bogus claims that circumcision reduce the infection rate for HIV?

This is only another fraudulent claim to hold the easy money flowing and the dicks skinned. A long index of susposed cures that can be found from skinning your dick. Even back within 1894 a claim was made (in an American Medical journal) that black men should be circumcised to prevent them from raping white women. Other circumcisers from that time, also claimed that circumcision cured epilepsy and blindness. As for me, I believe that circumcision has be only successful within, blinding us from the truth. As 3,000 babies a day surrounded by the U.S. are restrained against their will and forced to undergo excrutiating dull pain, because for some doctors, it's easy money on assured street.
Answers: I don't know! The bogus claims are stupid. I believe there's an influence there by a) the populace who get rotten on circumcision b) the doctors who were circumcised and are desperately trying to pretend there's a medical benefit so they don't grain left out and own to admit they are missing a fitting part of their penis or c) religious ancestors who favour circumcision.

Like most society I heard the headline on this and was amazed. I thought it sounded resembling a great thing. Unlike most inhabitants, I did more research, and the claims and studies are full of holes. Firstly they're from Africa, secondly the numbers weren't very apt, thirdly a decrease is not one and the same as total protection and fourthly if it's because the glans dries up and you lose the soft skin then who requests that? Oh and yes the list of adjectives the other things circumcision has "prevented" or "cured" since the 1800s be also significant when I read about HIV.

I also ruminate it's crazy that this is being promoted contained by Africa as a way to stop the HIV spread. People won't think through that it's *reduction* in *female-to-male* nouns. They'll think it's a protection. It's more adjectives for people to grasp HIV from male-to-male sex, or intravenous drug use, or male-to-female transmission (which is within the semen so circumcision isn't going to help you there). Because population will think circumcised men are safe and sound this will undo any righteous that may be done with abstinence/faithfulness/condoms campaign, add to that the actual operation (probably will not be done under sterile conditions within Africa) and you'll get more those getting infected from blood contact, or dying from circumcision. (but hey they don't care if they die, a moment ago as long as it's not from HIV). I also think this is no sense to do it to a child because who knows if they will finish off up waiting for marriage to own sex, or whatever. And kids born today won't hold sex for 15-20 years by which time there might be an HIV inoculation or at least better progress towards one. They should be capable of choose when they start having sex whether they'd to some extent be cut or wear a condom.
I'm a educated robustness care professional and I elected to not hold either of my two sons circumcised. It's not considered to be medically prerequisite nor did I feel right roughly subjecting them to a painful medical procedure (I've have to assist with circumcisions and it's not pleasant at adjectives for the baby). Now let just utter it was true that circumcision do exhaust the transmission rate of AIDS. The current hypothesis for this is the presence of Langerhans cell in the manly prepuce (foreskin) (*2). It is claimed that Langerhans cells are immaculate host cells for the AIDS virus. (There is a dutch study that showed they in fact helped quarrel AIDS, but this is not my point here). The female prepuce (clitoral hood) and labia own high numbers of Langerhans cell present as well. So if circumcision is devout for men, it is good for women as okay. I am sure most women would rather only just use a condom than have their labia & hood removed.

The problem beside this is it doesn't add up when you look at everything. The US is mostly circumcised, and we the worst AIDS problem times 3 than any other first world country. Most of the countries beside the least AIDS problem are mostly uncircumcised. The individual real solution to AIDS is nontoxic sex practices.
While I share your sentiment, I think it's a bit strident to call those studies "bogus" to some extent than "flawed." They were done by unshakable and well-respected institutions such as the NIH, but again, that doesn't mean they didn't enjoy their flaws.

Those studies have be under attack contained by the science and medical community since before they be published. If you look at the studies yourself, you might be able to find flaws even if you're not a scientist. The point is, I think, some individuals want some hope of beating HIV so feebly, that they'll readily accept any "polite news." And circumcision is "accepted" so it doesn't bring back a lot of ethical doubts. Is it a dutiful reason? No, unsurprisingly not.

I guess the point is, the claim's out there very soon. The harm's been done. But here are people surrounded by the field against it, so there's a strong counter-voice. And even surrounded by light of this "claim," several countries are not adopting circumcision as strength policy because the risks of the operation outweigh the possible benefit.

Anyway, take a look at the links and find some comfort. For immediately, it might come as good word that the circumcision rate in the US have fallen to underneath 60% in the second couple decades (and continues to slowly drop).
Circumsized or uncircumsized, having unprotected sex near somebody who has the virus will almost sure result in the guy contracting it himself.
Instead of paying for circumsizion, why not buy a condom instead? Its greatly cheaper and a lot smaller quantity painful.

Male circumcision does prevent hygienic infections, but is not certainly necessary, by any scheme. It does no more harm than it prevents, so it is a net-sum-gain.

Explain why not getting circumcised is a benefit, and possibly someone will listen. Otherwise, you are beating your go before against a cultural wall that will not yield in need justification. Mine is trimmed, so my boys are, too. So what?

What happens to the young-looking children that are born in the us of a but own illegal parents are they transported?

Answers: I know that it used to be that if you have a child born in the US you could live here, but I devise that they are changing that statute because right now contained by Texas over 80% of the babies born in the hospitals are born to illegals that own crossed the border to have their babies. I own heard of American Citizens that hold been turned away by the hospital because it be full of illegals that don't have to payment for any thing. To me it does not put together any sense to turn away a paying customer just because they own so many unjust mothers crossing the border in hopes that they will know how to get citizenship freshly because their babies are born here. I think that they are finally shifting this law because it have proven to be nothing but problems, but I am not sure if it have passed yet.

If two illegals enter the country and enjoy young children next, the illegal adults are deported support to their country the children are not deported with them. They children can move about with them (probably not via US immigration but parents can clear arrangements for their kids to go back) or they can stay next to relatives they have contained by this country.

Children born in the US are citizens (unfortunately, illegals hold taken FULL advantage of this).

Parking lot accident: what will come to pass?

Hi! Im an international student from Germany in california. I needed to go to subway and when parking, parked too close to another coup¨¦ and while trying to pull out scratched its side. The owner come out of subway and took my license # and my phone # and took off. I dont really know what will come about, but Im afraid because I have no belief of the laws surrounded by the USA ?
Also I wasnt driving my own car, but a friends who lent it to me for groceries and such. It is insured I believe.

Your friend will call the insurance company, and the insurance company will purloin care of everything.
Next time you are surrounded by an accident, don't contribute any personal information. Call the police and let them write up a police report. If you give your driver's license information, you don't know what that person will do near it (we have a serious identity fraud problem surrounded by this country).

Wherever this took place, call the lot to see if they hold surveillance cameras. If it was at a subway station, more than promising they do have cameras. Tell them what happen and you may want to tell them you want a police report on the issue.

There's not much that can be done at this point if you didn't exchange phone numbers. If you enjoy no information on the person whose saloon was shabby, you just own to wait. I would discern nervous because of giving up my personal information.

Edited to add: Mr Placid is correct. Have you friend contact their insurance company and give an account them about what happen. Then, you should be able to sleep better.

P.S. I would bid the police and try to get a police report. The guy's behavior be suspicious. Ask the police if you can get a police report so if this guy call, tell him you contacted the police. This might startle him off or if he is not trying to transport advantage of you, he will play according to the rules. Leaving the scene of an quirk is wrong.
