Can my dad sue his boss for this reason?

Well, my dad hasnt have a day stale in over a month. His boss doesnt even present him vacation weeks approaching other jobs do. He's be very, remarkably cranky lately and he definitely cant walk on like this. He works 15hrs a light of day, 7 days a week. Is it possible he can sue his boss?
Answers: He is entitled to over-time pay, and it depends on your state's law to determine if he is being worked too much, but to the most slice the answer is no, because our troops are working 24hrs a day contained by Iraq for as many days as they are nearby, so more than likely he any continues as needed or finds a new charge. It sucks to work every day but it is a choice to verbs working there, and most companies enjoy to approve days taken for vacation, so it is not other when you would like them.
Depends where on earth he is, and what he does.

In "most" states an employer can require "most" employees to work as much as they be aware of like asking them to, and fire them if they don't.

Most workers, though, are entitled to overtime. According to some surveys as many as 80% of salaried team in the US whose employer have told them they're not qualified to overtime actually are.

Richard
This is what's wrong next to our nation. You are complaining that your dad is working, and think your dad should sue his employer because he is working? On what grounds would he sue? Because he is cranky?

You're dad can request a morning off. He could quit his available job. He could take his boss to court, but he'd lose his satchel.

Don't fall into the "entitlement" trap. No one is entitled to anything. Life is something we work to upgrade. No one owes you/your dad anything.
If he doesn't like it, he should newly quit. With all this money he's be making, you guys should be fine till he finds another job.

Can a landloard kick you out for no apology at all?

Answers: No that's what a lease agreement is for. It give you and the land lord the framework of your and his rights. He may get the impression he is justified surrounded by attempting to evict you based on that agreement you signed.
Maybe, depending on how the lease is written.

"For no point at all." Somehow, I doubt specifically the truth, the whole truth, and nought but the truth. I wonder what the landlord would voice if we asked him?
If you have a lease he can't evict you unless you violate the lease. If you don't enjoy a lease, or if it's expired, he can evict you on giving you one full rent periods make out (Typically a month)

This is the "general" law.

Some cities own renter protection laws that require a manager to have a decriminalized reason to evict a tenant who is up-to-date on his rent.

Richard
If within is no lease then yes he can. All the Landlord have need of do is give the proper discern

What is the purpose of apartment complexes doing criminal background checks?

I be held at gunpoint by a neighbor and was wondering how could he enjoy gotten a lease with the apartments beside a criminal history of several incidents.
Answers: Catch 22. A complex manager or owner can be held liable for failing to provide a past the worst environment for his/her tenants to live. By that same token, they hold to do their best to not discriminate against anyone for whatever purpose.
So, it is a rather pointless article to perform perspective checks and still let within the criminals.
I live in Minneapolis. Ten years ago, nearby was a luggage in which a caretaker murdered a resident. The victim's mother pushed for tougher framework checks of would-be residents and personnel.

I took a street smart class ten years ago. I asked the instructor what to look for safety learned when moving into an apt. He said criminal background checks are one factor to look for, but he said the checks are flawed. One intention is that just because somebody have a clean narrative now isn't any guarantee they'll other be law abiding. Definitely true, but later I just saw the rest of your story that the jolt who robbed you had priors.

My guess is he used an alias. Another is human error. Everybody make mistakes, and nothing is foolproof.

Background checks are done because nobody requests to live or work with doomed to failure "apples".Past behavior is usually indicative of future behavior, but logically people can changeover for the better or worse. Background checks, I think, also provide a false sense of wellbeing. Finally, due to our letigious society, the'yre done as a way to protect against lawsuits.

Can my school do this!? Detentions near handcuffs?

Here's the accord. For our detentions, we used to sit in a room (no more than three to a classroom). We a short time ago sat here and did nothing, or write an essay something like why we are in detention. Detentions be always 3:15 - 5:15 on fridays. You would of late sit in your college uniform for 2 hours and then step home.

But last Friday be the friday that started Christmas Break, so kids were zealous to get out. There be about 35 kids contained by detention that day. About 12 moved out their room without green light and just roamed the hallway. Two trashed a room when the teacher vanished for one minute and three left the college (all five were arrested and taken to the police station). The other 18 or so (including me) be perfectly fine.

But due to this, our college is overhauling our detentions.

So here is the deal. You come at 3:15 as usual, but your hand are handcuffed trailing your back while you're sitting at your stool.

They said it's to prevent anymore lawsuits, and they said it's legal.

Is it?
Answers: I typed "school that use handcuffs" into Yahoo! Search and many articles appeared almost schools that are trying to take permission, or enjoy ALREADY gotten permission to use chains, or flexible cuffs on students. It is a real issue and is really scheduled. You are not an idiot and you are not making this up. (Just wanted to throw it put money on at the idiot "ex-cops" who have nought better to do than peruse Yahoo! Answers to offer experience they don't have.) As far as "is it official in your school" - phone any local attorney and have them look into it for you - they love taking on potential class-action situations such as this. Also telephone your local news station and report it to them, capture it on the air - produce it public - expose your school - explain to as many outlets as you can, reporters, etc. Nobody listens to a short time ago a kid on his own - you have to get hold of help from culture who will be taken seriously (attorneys, newspapers, TV, radio) - and NEVER TRUST THE COPS, as you can see from some of the answers here, they don't know what they are conversation about.
No it is not, but I importantly doubt your story. You are a habitual poster to this instance and I dont believe anything you vote.

But for arguments sake, no, it is not.
This is not true.

You get handcuff more than some murderers, if you are to be believed (which you are not).

I strongly urge everyone to look at the list of previous question she has asked.

If you did not dispense the bike shop consent to give out your personal information, you requirement to hire an attorney and take the bike shop to court. Countersuit for harassment?

I enjoy recently be sued for slander. This matter have not yet be taken to court, but the grounds for suing are baseless and I know that I will win the lawsuit. Is there any passageway that I can file a countersuit against the plantiff? I own had masses instances of harassment from this individual and believe that this is merely another attempt to do so. What would you suggest and how would I step about this. FYI: I live contained by Kentucky. All and every answer is appreciated, even if it doesn't fully answer all question. Thank you.
Answers: I'd advise you to draw from an attorney to handle this situation. You'll know how to discuss a countersuit with him/her and find out if that's a viable picking. Even if you decide not to do the countersuit, you really necessitate to hire an attorney to defend you.
The basic question for you is: Do you enjoy proof of his harassment, such as parcels, recorded phone call, witnesses that the judge can use to verify your claim? If you do, next there should be no problem contained by filing a countersuit for nuisance.

Ive been turned around at the canadian border back b/c of a past DWI arrest. is it a crime to try again?

I've be turned back at the canadian border on two separate occasion because of a DWI arrest 4 years ago. I play hockey in Canada normally. If I try again, can I be arrested, is it likely, or can i apply for a stopgap resident permit at the border once rejected? What to do?
Answers: Actually, I'm surprised they didn't transmit you this: if your bring ALL of your court papers stating that you have completed EVERYTHING the courts required you to, to the border and they will review the information. Expect to spent an hour or two, it's a backache but they will allow to travel back and forth after this.
I own had a similar experience. You can return with a form from a Canadian Consulate Office. Fill it out and submit it. If approved you will not be listed contained by the computer as undesirable.

I went up to Red Deer to work for a week several years ago. The DWI came up while self questioned. You would own thought the sky had fall the way the guy react. I was not kicked out, purely told I could not return. If you are on their ground when you try it is their call what they do.
phone up Border Patrol and ask what their recommendations are.
