Uttering a verbal threat...?
Hi I am a sixteen year outdated from BC, Canada. I am sick of my father.Just today, he verbally threatened me. He said "I will break your manager open near this table" and "I'm going to throw this glass at your person in charge. And if you get hurt it's not my problem." and he repeated the "I'll throw this cup at your head" All this happened because while me and my sister be having dinner at the table, we be talking a bit above a shush and he was taking a forty winks on the couch and it disturbed him. Honestly this is ridiculous. So I have a couple of question. My sister heard the uttering of the threats. Can she testify? How long do I hold to press charges if I choose to do so? What type of punishment will he recieve?
Answers: File a case of grave threats against your father so that appropriate cost will be meted on him.
Napping fathers enjoy threatened their noisy descendants from the dawn of time. You own no legal goings-on here.
Pipe down and let him sleep.
So leave your job home and support yourself. alternative is to obey house rules if your living surrounded by someone Else's house. At 16 you should be able to cook supper every darkness and clean up after ward. How much work does your father do- 40 hours a week in bureau, 50 hours hard work surrounded by construction? How much work do you do? What is your grade point surrounded by school if you budge to school.
Fired after getting hurt.?
My friend hurt herself snowboarding. She fractured two vertebrae. She was told that she will be laid up for a month. When she told her boss this he told her that she be fired then. Is this endorsed? Or is it just corrupt? This all took place surrounded by Arizona, if that matters.Answers: It's a medical problem and no, she can't be fired for have a medical problem. It doesn't matter what considerate of medical problem or how it was incurred.
The problem is suing within court and proving that the medical problem was the function she was fired. Often a company will claim that it be working matters that lead to her termination, but in a lawsuit, they would be required (by your attorney) to prove a written transcript of incidents to show a history, not just a single incident. Still, it's expensive and time-consuming and not guaranteed to win.
She'll necessitate to talk to several lawyer as most want an easy to win baggage or don't bother. Any of them are also going to want a very upright settlement out of the case, which will lift a minimum of 1/3 of any settlement. And it's the upfront fees, filing, discovery, subpoenas, etc that will really drain your mound account.
All I can voice is good luck. You MAY hold a good crust, but you'll have to work awfully hard merely to find a decent advocate to take it, and next he'll have to work especially hard to pursue it.
If she couldn't work, it be neither illegal nor dissipated. It was unlucky, and chances are the boss wasn't thrilled roughly speaking having to hire someone else. On the other appendage, he needed the work done, and he had to own someone there to do it. So he hired someone else.
If she'd hurt her put money on on the job, he'd be in somebody`s debt to pay bit of her disability payments, but he could still hire someone else to take her place. All employment is resembling that in the US unless a contract specifies otherwise.
Best course of action for happenstance in rental apt??
I rent an apt. within an old building. My boyfriend is not on the lease, but does stay at my place occasionally. One side of my apt. face out to a brick wall, with approx. 4' to 5' between the buildings. I am not sure who owns the subsequent building-it used to be an old guard, and now stands deserted. To make a long story short(er), on Dec. 20th something hit one of my window on that side, causing it to crack. When my bf tried to enlarge the window to see what it be (it appeared to be a rain gutter that may hold been packed with rime due to weather), the window and fragment of the frame broke out and a huge piece of glass go thru my bf's thumb, requiring 12 stitches and a large upcoming E.R. bill... I know I inevitability to notify the landlord almost the window, but I'm not sure what steps I should help yourself to after that. Who should be required to pay for hospital bills/repairs?? Should we even bother?? Any suggestion would be great :)Answers: You don't say where on earth you live and laws come and go from place to place.
But--I would report this to the landlord asap. (How can you skulk so long in the winter short freezing?) Whether the landlord is responsible to fix the pane or whether you are depends on your lease and the laws where on earth you live.
As for the medical bills, your "guest" should inform the landlord and ask for the property liability insurance information. Your guests should know how to make a claim against that insurance for injuries that go on on the property. Your BF doesn't have to be on the lease to take home this claim.
This answer is based on your controlled facts and may be completely wrong depending on where you live and the vocabulary of your lease. But generally, this how things work within the US.
Definitely tell your tenant about the unplanned breakage, and how it happened. He should own a responsibility to fix it. As for the boyfriend, he wasn't there near the landlord's consent, was he? Does your lease allow you to own sleep-over male companions?...Anyways, do YOU enjoy renter's liability ins? You could be liable for his medical bills (if he chose to pursue seeking compensation.) It's like a homeowner self liable for anyone that gets injured on his property, whether invited, or not...similar to salesmen, etc. I have specified of burglars suing their victims for being injured during a break-in...and successful the suit. Be careful, and informed when getting into situations where on earth you could be held liable.
Good Luck ! Hope it works out and that your bf gets along OK.
You are responsible, it occured contained by your apartment.
You would have to prove your innkeeper was careless, to have any nature of case against him.
When you rented the apartment, you assumed adjectives liability for accidents that occured within that apartment.
You should have renters insurance.
If you don't, you'll see how powerfully your BF really likes you, after he see's his ER bill.
Because he can well sue you for the bill.
Alot easier, than you will be able to sue the owner of the apartment.
Depending on what your out-of-pocket expenses are, you could give somebody a lift the landlord or the responsible participant to small claims court. If you would feel better contacting an attorney, you can lug that route as well. There may enjoy been a defective glass and since the owner of the building is responsible for its safe upkeep, they are responsible for any injuries cause by the lack of upkeep.
If someone runs for office and pulls out does he bring to keep the money donated to his fight ?
Answers: No.
Campaing finance law are quite clear on that.
Legally the Campaign is approaching a corporation... it is a separate and distinct legal entity from the runner. This is important because campaign are notorious for not paying their bills...(most campaign go broke) and you don't want your runner getting stuck paying for rental cars in New Hampshire out of his personal funds six years after the see is over. That is why people close to Kerry and Romney donate their own money to their campaign... legitimately it is the campaign's money, not their money.
There are rules about what the movement can and can't do with the money within the unlikely event any is left after the fight is shut down. Normally when a politician retires the money is either returned or donated to the campaign of their friends.
Yes, but depending on what s/he does with it, taxes might hold to be paid.
In a recent bag here in suburban New Orleans, Sheriff Harry Lee have a really big campaign fund but become ill and passed away. In his estate he not here the campaign money to a church. That made it a charitable donation and avoided taxes. Otherwise, the estate would own owed taxes on several hundred thousand dollars of income.
Yes.
That's why Congresscritters almost always announce their retirement right towards the run out of their term - that means of access all the money that's be given to them for their re-election campaign they go and get to keep.
Richard
Yes and no. There are pretty a number of electioneer financing laws, far more than there's room for here. Depending on how it be collected, it may be kept but there could be taxes due. In other cases it go back.
Often donations are made to the participant, into their general movement fund, and then spent on the hopeful as needed, that way donations can be kept, or spent elsewhere on other candidate. It must all be accounted for.
Sometimes donations are made privately, softly, so it becomes personal money. And depending on how that it done it could be undemocratic.
Normally it is a non-issue, they always spend adjectives of it.
Campaign advertising is other cash surrounded by advance.
Always check NO on the excise return form, "do you want to send money to the presidential drum up support fund?" Why on Earth would you want your tax money to be used for their campaign? Don't we have better uses for that money? And just the Republicans and Democrats are allowed access to those funds.
Lethal injection, is it cruel?
I'm praticapating in a debate in the region of the death cost. I'm arguing against it. My friend showed me an article that said that the lethal injection used within excutions was made beside very little medical or experimental background and be simply accepted. The character being put to destruction could possibly be experiencing excruciating pain. It also said that the National Veterinarians Society won't even use it on cats and dogs because it is "to cruel"I be just be wondering if any of you knew if this article have any credit to it.
Answers: You are correct. Veternarians do not use the same drugs used for noxious injection. And your are on the right track. The lethal injection protocol uses three drugs. The first is an anesthetic. If used correctly, at hand should be no pain surrounded by the rest of the procedure. However, doctors are forbidden to participate, and prison technicians do not hold the expertise. The second drug is a paralytic which keeps the condemned from moving or crying out. The third drug (the one that vet do not allow) stops the heart and breathing. If the anesthetic was not efficient, the third drug causes excrutiating discomfort and the sensation of being suffocated. Several answerers compared this to have a doctor administer anesthesia before surgery. The difference is that trained anesthesiologists do not involve yourself in in executions.
By the agency, if you are debating the death cost, you should take a look at http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/article. which is a terrific resource for debaters. There are other points to be made in the region of how the system is implemented.
Here are some other things you can use, also sourced:
You don't enjoy to sympathize with criminals or want them to avoid a catastrophic punishment to ask if the death cost prevents or even reduces crime, to reflect about the risks of executing innocent citizens and to consider alternatives .
126 people on demise rows have be released with proof that they be wrongfully convicted. DNA is available in smaller quantity than 10% of all homicides and isn’t a guarantee we won’t execute innocent associates.
The death cost doesn't prevent others from committing murder. No reputable study shows the death cost to be a deterrent. To be a deterrent a punishment must be sure and swift. The death cost is neither. Homicide rates are higher within states and regions that have it than contained by those that don’t.
We have a honourable alternative. Life without parole is very soon on the books surrounded by 48 states. It means what it say. It is sure and swift and rarely appealed. Life lacking parole is less expensive than the departure penalty.
The disappearance penalty costs much more than go in prison, mostly because of the officially recognized process which is supposed to prevent executions of innocent people.
The disappearance penalty isn't reserved for the worst crimes, but for defendants next to the worst lawyers. It doesn't apply to empire with money. When is the second time a wealthy being was on demise row, let alone executed?
The disappearance penalty doesn't necessarily comfort families of murder victims. Murder martyr family member across the country argue that the drawn-out death cost process is painful for them and that duration without parole is an appropriate alternative.
Problems next to speeding up the process. Over 50 of the innocent people released from loss row had already served over a decade. If the process is speeded up we are sure to execute an innocent entity.
Ever have an anesthesia for surgery???
You surface the needle going within, and then it;s lights out.
Only near lethal injection, you don't rouse up.
Oh, and vets use fatal injection every day to euthanize animals.
I don't know the article, but presume of justice re: victims, family, taxpayer expense, etc.
Murderers, rapists et al deserve by court judgement to die, let them and polite riddance to them.
There is no 'un-cruel' way do be kill, btw...
Lethal injection is basically approaching a really strong anesthesia before someone get's surgery. The merely difference is that is that poisonous injection is meant to gun down, not keep the individual asleep for several hours. The actual drug they inject into the person does not create pain, the misery possibly comes from reaction from the person's scared system as the body is shutting down (but the person is still living).
I estimate it's an acceptable punishment for a entity who has kill an entire family or raped children. Would you disagree next to that? You must be a liberal if you do.
It's the LEAST painful means of access for a human (who has kill OTHER humans) to die as a form of punishment. If you really want to know about a bumpy way to die, read into the gas chamber, electric chair, fire squad, drowning, lifeless, etc. All those forms of punishment were once used across the world for the annihilation penalty (and still are within many places). Currently, surrounded by the states that have the departure penalty, the party who is being executed have the option of 1) poisonous injection 2) electric chair 3) gas chamber. Nebraska's ONLY form of passing penalty is the electric bench.
Why do you care? The party getting the lethal injection didn't vigilance if the person or inhabitants they killed be in dull pain or not. The crime victims didn't get a second meal, didn't procure to visit their friends and kith and kin, didn't get to own a preacher/pastor/priest etc come visit them at their second moments. I think fatal injection is too easy, an eye for an eye is the instrument it should be!
Is what he did legal?
So me and my friend go to the mall after arts school. It was a dress down daytime, so she was out of her uniform. But I be representing my school at a local class school, so I have to wear my uniform :(So me and some girl that forgot about dress down daytime were the solely two in the precinct in our uniform. Well I guess she did something, cause we walk by and she was sitting on a bench handcuff behind her backbone with approaching 3 cops around her. Me and my friend were walking by and a cop asked me if we go to the same institution. Obviously, we did. So he said I would have to come contained by for questioning. So afterwards he handcuffs me too! Is this allowed?
My friend was told to depart the scene immediately.
So he take both of us to the security room. There are three holding cells/rooms. We respectively go within our own. They were super small and we be still handcuffed down out backs (I didn't do anything!)
He question me and I say I don't know her. Finally he believes me and let's me beckon my parents.
But then he re-handcuffs me astern my back and locks me contained by the small holding room and tells me to keep on for my parents. Remember, I did nothing wrong!
So as she walk in, he releases me, so my mom saw zilch. She didn't really talk roughly speaking it, I was too panicky to.
So was this adjectives legal?
Answers: yes, as extraordinarily as it sounds it is legal... "Arrests, Detainment and Charges: If the Police inform you that you are ‘under arrest’ or if they grab you or shackle you then you enjoy been arrested and you must shift quietly even if you haven’t done anything wrong."
I would vote no..it wasn't legal!!!
But you can't prove anything at this point so it's your word against theirs.
i craving i was a lawer .. stir for lawer.. there is a break u gana get ur right and get hold of some money too...
dont ingore the issue,, it is worth to fight for..
suitable luck,, i know u can win the case.. cuz i smell fish and sneak contained by ur case..
You should hold never been handcuff and questioned in need your parents there near you. He had no right since you have done nothing wrong, weren't below suspicion. Your mom and dad should call and communicate to the police seargeant. You should tell your parents everything and enjoy them go down to the station and report a complaint.
Now this will work only if it is the POLICE. If it be mall wellbeing then he be still wrong, had no right to do w headdress he did and someone needs to ring up and talk to his boss. He intimidated you near no cause and that wasn't right. If they enjoy a question around another person afterwards they should have asked you to come down near your parents and talk to them.
I would cheer your parents to pursue a complaint with their supervisor. I can't see a valid idea for handcuffing you unless you be disorderly.
That is terrible. And if within fact they are surrounded by the wrong, not speaking up indirectly okays it to develop to someone else.
I feel bleak for you, but you should really do something about it. I can create in your mind you felt terribly violated and scared, and acting on it can possibly give you closure to your discouraging experience.
I hope this is helpful.
Good Luck
I'm not sure. What country do you live contained by? Here in the US they can hold you if they're suspect you of doing something wrong.
If anyone should own complained it's your mom!!
~V.
Cops or mall indemnity? If they were shopping precinct security (winos next to guns) then they are guilty of false custody, abduction, assault and a half dozen other core offenses. Any time anybody touches you without incentive or your permission, and does it intentionally, it is an assault, even if they are authentic cops and not rent-a-cops.
If you are arrested, certain formalities own to be followed. First they have to give an account you that you are under arrest and why. Then they enjoy to give you your rights.
Sounds approaching they were up to something and chickened out. Don't simply let it drop if you did nil to bring it on.
Get legal support.
First of all, are those authentic police or just shopping precinct security, or I'd similar to to call them "rent-a-cops?"
In common, they can question you for raison d`être or if you agree to and most cops nowadays do chain people. It doesn't look well-mannered, nor were they comfortable, but they do that to protect both your and their safekeeping.
However, if there be no reason to detain, you may own a false imprisonment claim. Call a advocate for consultation. The elements are very specific and near is no way to analyze the armour without details and please don't post them here. There is such entry call client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege. By posting details here, you are giving up your rights.
That's sort of a tough issue. There are several court cases which influence that stores can detain people against their will. . . but specifically usually limited t population that that have probable end in to believe have attempted to abscond next to property not belonging to them.
You may have be subject to unlawful restraint... discuss the issue with your parents, and consider seeing an attorney.
If the police have a reasonable exact to believe that you might be connected in some road to the person they be accusing, then what they did be legal.
Laid off after parenthood leave?
I go on maternity give up your job Nov. 20 and planned on returning to work in rash Jan. (6 weeks) I was a full time hand, since I have be gone however hours have be cut. But they have also hired someone to replace me. There are one and only 7 employees where on earth I work and they are talking roughly speaking laying me stale, while keeping the person they hired to replace me. Can they do this? And if they do what can I do roughly speaking it, because I think it is illicit. I'm not sure about this, please facilitate!Answers: I would take the event up with the state labor board. Tell them what have happened and see if in attendance is anything they can do to help you. If not, I would consult near an attorney. Since you were on your entitled nearest and dearest leave, you be entitled to have your employment held for you until your return. They will have to remuneration you for all the time you be off from the time you agreed to come back to work until the time the matter is settled. Good luck.
No they can't do that. You stipulation to contact an employment attorney and the labor board. That's completely illegal.
I paid my bill to a gas company two years ago and they put on my credit that i enjoy not. Help?
I do not have any proof that i did it. But i know that you can not hold a balance and move to another home and procure your gas turned on in that home, which i did. What can i do to achieve an audit on that company to prove my innocence?Answers: Contact your previous landlord and explain what surface, see if you can get a notarized statement for when you moved out. If not aim legal assistance. God's Blessing Of Peace Be With You 2008

If it was by check or line call your wall to get proof.
If it be by CC call the company for the story.
If it was by bread and you don't have proof or an antiquated statement call the company and see if they can verbs up your old bills. enjoy them tell you when you get the charges.
In the future retribution with checks so you own proof at the bank.
How do you think that society would react to the jews asking ...?
egypt and germany for reperations? I do not suggest this should happen but am wanting to see if it is on like level near black people asking for reperations.Answers: Interesting put somebody through the mill. I think most folks would feel resembling the Jewish people be just out for a prompt buck, gained by sentiment not a short time ago cause. I'm not aphorism the Jews didn't suffer under both. I'm a moment ago saying it be far too long ago to force payment from associates who are not responsible in the first place. I be aware of the same on this isssue concerning reperations for slavery within the USA. I'm sorry people have to suffer like that but is it of late for me to foot the bill over 100 years later?
certainly jews got reperations after world period of war 2 for what hitler done to them
and that what most blacks argue that he jews got reperation for the atroticies commited against them where on earth as there be atrocities commited against blacks aside from slavery, like surrounded by the town of rosewood, florida over 100 african americans were lynched over the course of 3 weeks by repugnance groups who were probing for a black rapist,it turns out there be no black rapist but a white woman who lied to her husband that she got rape when she if truth be told was seeing another white man
I focus it would vary from country to country. My guess is profusely of the middle east would be pissed off and copious other areas would be worried that a lot of the middle east would be pissed stale.
