It is a revolving door next to no punishment. An inmate today is paid "state pay" for sweeping a floor adjectives of 40 minutes a day. To a point, I think so. Not because criminals are treated 'so good' beside great meals and tvs and exercise equip or doesn`t matter what.

But because our punishment system is screwed up. We have murderers doing smaller amount time than non violent offender. It doesn't sound close to your marriage would be a betrayal of their policy if you are working is separate departments and are of equal rank. If HR rules against you, your company probably have a policy that allows you to appeal to the CEO. If that happens, appeal within a positive manner. Let the CEO know that you are sensible and loyal employees and that you aspiration to continue working for the company. I would mull over he would want to keep you, since it must be frozen to replace you. Basically, even if the policy did forbid the marriage and continued employment, the CEO can waiver or even adjustment the policy if he wanted to.

Yes, I’ve hear of it, because it happened to me too (although not within the state of NE). When me and hubby got married one of us have to quit (and neither of us was ‘higher’ on the stepladder than the other). It was company policy, and there’s zilch illegal more or less it. So, we put the wedding sour until one of us found another job.

As the previous poster suggested, you can communicate to HR, but I doubt it’s going to do you any good. They can’t formulate an exception ‘just for you’, they’d have to exchange the company policy, and most companies with this policy wouldn’t be of a mind to change it. But it can’t hurt to try.
speak beside human resource department, i know of a lot of companies that enjoy the same policy but if you own stated all the facts afterwards you probably will be fine. your marriage may prevent charge transfers or promotions if it put you working together but may not. the fact that you will be married and not dating may also oblige. since you write that one "might have to quit" process that you might not.

be it someone with that authority or a co-worker who think they know policy?

Philosophy questions?

1. Thomas Aquinas states that in that are "certain truths which exceed human reason" and can with the sole purpose be found by "divine revelation". Do you agree with this assessment? Or do you believe that humanity is practised of finding all the answers to adjectives of their questions?

2. To what extent do you believe the expressions "science" and "philosophy" are interchangeable? To what extent are they compatible? (Yeah, i know this is a weird interrogate, I apologize.)

3. Can and should psychology and/or mathematics be employed to discover philosophical truths? Or should they come simply from "within", if you will?
(again, i'm sorry. but my topic is philosophy, so reader beware)
Answers: 1) In a sense, I agree near Aquinas--but I think this is a better route of expressing it (for modern man, anyway): Some truths cannot be demonstrated empirically. For example, is an action morally "good" or "bad" (example: theft). For that you enjoy to depend on either philosophy (in the sense of logical reasoning) or on tradition, authority, or---faith within some higher (divine) standard. Aquinas--or any character who believes in a Divine or spiritual division of reality, would presumably rely on what he/she believeed tobe the spiritual or divine as a final arbiter.

2. Historically, as you would expect, "natural philosophy" be a part of philosophy commonly. Today, the two are not entirely interchangeable. Scince is distinguished primarly by its subject matter and methodology. Essentially, it is confined to address those questions for which it is possible to fabricate a proposition (hypothesis). It can be considered a branch of philosophy--but that distinction is critical. Philosophy continues to be imprtant toscience, however, in that the epistomology of science mmust necessarily depend, ultimately, on philosophicalreasoning--and the a priori assumption that science can transmit us something about the path the world is.

3.Psychology is ultimately an empirical discipline (at least, it is SUPOSED to be!). It can be adjectives to the philosopher by providing insights into human behavior and thought--but it is raw textile for the philosopher. Nor is it privileged in this regard--one could say-so the same of sociology, anthropology, or history--or other field. The use of such knowledge is not unusual surrounded by philosophy. It is,in certainty, a specialized form of logic--almostunbelievably useful and powrful. But it is not something philosophy can use--it IS philosophy.

Truths from inside. consider this response anextensionof what I said in#1. If one views non-empirical truth toemanatefrom tradition or authority, no--by definition i.e. an external source. A reliance on human reason and logic could include "insight" --but requires validation within thesense tha tit mmsut conform to logical standards (in a sense, this is what the Lokian "tabula raza" arguement attempts to do.

To rely on revelation is also to presume an external source. That is, ultimately a choice based on one's personal judgement. One can, suing logic and origin, demonstrate that the belief is reasonable--but not that it is true. From a purely empirical perspective, it would have to be considered any a "ruth (or at leasta belief)from within--oradopted as a result of the influence of tradition or authority.

The notion of "truth from within" is one that can be argued endlessly. Here, for what its worth,is my judgment. First, I exclude emotionalism. A "feeling" iis not a reasoned belief, even when it is valid. I hardly call for to point out that it is not a reliable guide to reality and motion unmediated by logic and reason.

ITake the point Mach made--of science as decription (that's not exactly his arguement, but it will do for this response). My spectacle is akin to Locke's tabula raza position. Perception--the data our senses transport to our brain--are the building blocks of thought. But they are NOT the reality--all perception is ultimately a representation. skipping the issue of how the process occurs, the sum of our mind's contents and structure is built entirely out of our perception.

Up to a point. Beyond that point, the mind can indeed generate ideas from "within" --and though perceptin is the fresh matieral, those ideas can be shown to transcend the perception. Example: no entity such as a dragon exists in authenticity. Yet, I can visualize a dragon. At oe time, no entity such as an airplane existed. Yet, at least as far subsidise as da Vinci, men coultd visualze one. Thus, the concept of the "idea from within" is clearly plausible (I'm too tired right presently to attemmpt a proof).

I would go two steps further. ONe (and I do hold a proof of this, but not right now; e-mail me if you're interested): near exists at least one entity contained by the univers which can be directly apprehended yet whose existance cannot be proven. That entity is one's own consciousness. It exists--it is empirically authentic. Yet it's existance cannot be observed nor is a test that meet the "falsifiability" criteria possible, even in principle.

The second point is founded n the above. I suggest tat "spiritual awareness of that which is not seen" (paraphrasing Pul ofTarsus) can thieve place within the mind. If, fo rthe sake of arguement, you will adopt this notion, then we hold the following model: thehuman mind as n entity that unquestionably exists, but whose existance cannot be falsified, built from its "tabula raza" inceptiion using the raw stuf of perception, but ultimately transcending that lightly cooked material, and--I suggest, adept of generating truths (ideas) from inwardly and, perhaps, competent to aprehend the "spiritual" (Dvine) from within.

Answers: You could bring sued but it would be unlikely because it would cost too much to hire a lawyer. If you hurt somebody by putting surrounded by some kind of tart or ground glass or something, afterwards the answer is yes. You would be sued for the medical bills, pain & suffering, and if you cause permanant damage to a creature, then you would probably turn to prison.
It may be intended as a joke of some brand, but not only can you be sued within civil court, you are also open to criminal prosecution. I hope this help you.
