Can A U.S. State Decide They Want To Be Their Own Country or Part of Another one?
In other words, could a U.S. State break off from the United States?Answers: that's what they tried doing within the American Civil War...
THEY tried that back surrounded by the 1860 during the civil war
didn't work
is tenet now that you cant
Good quiz.
Any State can try to do want they want to do but the possibility is impossible. I believe Congress is the one who would decide this issue. Hardly muse they would let that develop and why would they want too?
the constitution does not explicitly address secession, but current interpretation of it seems to be that secession is unconstitutional.
supposedly, this sound out was settled by the Civil War, but some argue that even the Civil War itself be illegal and unconstitutional. i tend to agree. i do not believe that those within 1776 would have approved of the Civil War have they been around surrounded by 1860.
there are already some movements afoot proposing nouns for a state of a group of states.
some in Vermont want to establish the "Second Vermont Republic", that would own it revert to the status it had from 1777 to 1791, since it became the 14th State.
i've also hear of a proposal to split off Oregon and Washington together to form "Cascadia".
i live within NYC, and there is other some very minor agree of making it the 51st State or even an independent city-state, like Singapore. instinctively, i'd like to see NYC as a free and independent, non-aligned country.
Legally, some can, and some possibly can, and maybe can't.
The productive 13 colonies banded together as a Union, and can legally opt to exit that Union. Also, those States that were independent Nations past joining the US - Texas, California, Vermont and Hawaii - can legally opt to verbs back out.
Whether the other States enjoy the right to or not is a matter for decriminalized debate. The Constitution says that when a domain is admitted to Statehood it enter with duplicate rights as the existing States, so that would imply they can move out as well. On the other appendage, those States were Federal property previously they were States, so that would indicate that if they wish to stop being a State, they step back to one a territory.
Practically, unsurprisingly, no they can't. When the Southern States voted to secede from the Union, the Federal government sent troops and within was a impressively bloody civil war to force them to stay.

Under UK law, If someone leaves their property on my house, do I have a right to dispose of it?
Answers: This correlation gives you adjectives the information you require on the subject. http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your...
Be careful that you serve the required notice and keep copies. http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your...
all right i would but i dont know where you stand beside the law
i depends on what it is
It depends on the circumstances... doesn`t matter what was vanished was it departed by mistake? How long ago was it disappeared? Need more info...
no.not if you invited them in .y not giv it bk
depends if it is someone that u know u should hand over it back
but if it is a can u can noticeably throw it away
Tell them you are charging them for storage of the item
plus you will dispose of the item to cover your costs.
Send them a letter explaining your storage charges for equipment disappeared on your property. Advice them that they have 5 days to remove the equipment and that after that date they will incur charges and that unless they pay envelope them promptly you will use the small claims court to ensure you receive your money.
It depends on the terms of the agreement of hire which you must own signed on hiring the equipement,(IT SOUNDS LIKE EARTH MOVER OR DIGGER MACHINERY TO ME).Was there a time and date, stipulated within writing, for delivery of the gear ?did they break any written agreement for distribution ?If they did you may recover your costs this instrument,as to disposal or removal, that again depends on the wording of any hire contract.
Because this is a hire purchase agreement you hold the property as bailee for and on behalf of the company who provided it. If the company are in breach of ocntract that does not absolve you of your obligation as a bailee. The usual rule is that you must first bring your intention to dispose of the goods to the attention of the owner and allow a believable period for its collection. The awareness should contain a warning that should the produce not be collected then as bailee you reserve the right to biddable title and will dispose of the property as you see fit.
There is no guidance on what constitutes a 'reasonable period' but a rule of thumb is 28 days. Also check the small print on the back of the hire purchase agreement.
I have an issue at work beside my manager trying to fire me because I call off sick on New Years eve?
Here is what appear. I got really sick on Sunday the light of day before New Years Eve and I could bad of work on Monday. Mind you I have Sick days I can use if I go and get sick. So she left me a voice message motto that upon my return she would need a doctors statement. I responded to her maxim that in the Employee paw book it states that you have to be bad 3 days in a row to be required to bring a doctors statement. She stated that since I call off a time before a Holiday I am required, but I call someone from HR and they stated since I am a salary hand that rule does not required. So I can into work today and she is now starting to try to brand the case I am doing my work wrong. Mind you I enjoy been doing my work impossible to tell apart way for 2 years, and she never complain earlier. I would like to know what I should do? I own kept all the emails she sent to me. I print out the adjectives handbook and highlighted the path about the Sick days policy. What should be the subsequent step?Answers: (a) hope she get's over being nutty about you sticking her over the holiday
(b) start situation hunting
I would keep your HR department apprised of the situation. Cover your at the rear in the meanwhile. Keep copies of her e-mails, document her comments to you, and hang on to copies of your work, especially if she is complaining of it.
Then toe the line for a while. Try to not hail as off, don't come contained by late, and achieve your work done. Don't give her any fodder.
It sounds close to the problem is that she doesn't believe you you were really sick; she imagined believes you called contained by to party or give somebody a lift the day sour.
Technically you are correct, according to the human resources information you have cited for your position. However, if your director believes you are dishonest, you have a bigger problem -- not a moment ago about this precise issue, but about your charge in broad.
Have you given her any other reason to distrust you or your motivations? Can you make available her any evidence that you were really sick that year (reciept for medicine purchases that hours of daylight, roommate or family vouching for your sickness, or demonstrated that you were still recovering the subsequent day when you did work (aside from symptoms that could also be a hangover.))?
Barack Obama?
Why do some people own a problem with Obama. What difference does it take home if he he's black or muslim? Our country was built on equality for everyone, so why do ethnic group go against him for his see. That is like aphorism the Constitution is a piece of cr*pAnswers: It has nil to do w race. It is because he brings nought to the table. No new concept, (except for new taxes), and not anything experience. Never has even proposed any eloquent legislation. As for the Muslim thing: If a man have any sympathies in that direction, do we want that man contained by the White House? That'd been close to electing a German during WW2. I know he's not a practicing muslim, but I also know he spent waaayyy too much time w them for anyone's comfort. BTW: It's the constitution that allows such a man to even be considered for the department. In any other nation, he'd have be laughed stale the stage.
I have a problem near a man with 2 years within the Senate and no executive experience thinking he has the testimonial to be president.
Just because he's a smooth talked doesn't denote he'd be a good president.
because he is man toted SOLEY because of his RACE !!!
our Constitution was turned into a piece of crap contained by the 1860's when millions of innocent whites were slaughtered over lies . and the the murdering still take place and they want to kill us adjectives !!
When you ask why some people hold a problem, there could be several reasons, most are rooted within ignorance and intolerance.
It has gotten better, but we ain't nowhere close by finished.
it makes me VERY upset. but i am supporting him.

Exactly matching thing happen to my daughter recently. Fortunately she telephone me to discuss it and to seek my warning. This is a BIG SCAM which can land innocent ancestors into serious trouble. We agreed that she should take it straight to the Police Station, which she did. This cheque be for lb3,500, a serious amount of money and the correspondence which arrived with it seem plausible. But at nearly fifty years of age I was competent to listen to the alarm bells ringing in my brain - but youngsters could be front into all sorts of trouble. Civil suits in Arizona where on earth opposing participant fails to respond or kind an "appearance" in it's defense.
In civil suits surrounded by Arizona, where ambiguous party fail to respond or make an "appearance" contained by it's defense, local rules require that, a motion for example, be served according to or in the posture of the rules for serving the original complaint (i.e. contained by arizona rules of civil procedures rule 4.1)A part of Rule 4.1 however allows a f¨ēte to utilize a request for a "waiver of the service of summons" in directive to avoid incurring process and filling fees.
Can or will a pass judgment or commissioner rule against this, for the notice of motions requested and file, as failure to follow rules of civil procedure ?
Answers: If you hold already served the complaint and the time to file a responsive pleading have already passed, you should file a sense of entry of default.
Why would you folder a motion if you can just defaulting the other party? Once you failure to pay the other party, it will be easier...
As the first poster said, the waiver of service is for the defendant's benefit. The defendant can agree for you to serve him by letters, certified mail next to a return receipt, and/or near a notice of acknowledgment of delivery (that's what it's called within CA).
I am not a lawyer. The best passageway to get endorsed advice is to consult next to an attorney in your jurisdiction.
You can't waive service for another personality. The waiver that rule is discussing is a written consent by the defendant, to not demand proper service, or put on a pedestal objections base on service (while preserving the right to raise objection to jurisdiction and venue). You need to follow your local rules. If you don't comply next to the rules for service, they just won't give in your motions, and jurisdictions commonly have rules to dismiss your crust after a certain time time of year for failing to timely effect service.
