Public Opinion Question about the Hells Angels and similar Motor Bike clubs/gangs?

I not long read a book about the Hells Angels, that covered multiple countries and numerous allegations [and convictions]about their strong arm tactics, including trafficking drugs, murder, assaults and organized crime. So, if the nonspecific public know that these biker gangs/clubs are conducting behaviors that threaten innocent members of the public and these that receive involved way-over their heads within these gangs/clubs criminal activities 'why doesn't the authorities simply block these groups as they have near terrorist organizations and arrest them for their association". Clearly if the roles where on earth reversed and the bikers thought that another club had done something against their code, they would punish them short fair-justice or right to appeal.

Kidding aside. I only just finish ted the book about the guy that go undercover with the Mongols, well brought-up book, fast read. It details of how unyielding it is to prosecute them.
I am now Reading the book just about the World Wide gangs... slow book, I am nearly 75 pages into it, and they are still going on more or less some 1 shooting in Oz.

please insist on if you know of any other current books about the gang, I find them interesting.

I can append something to this. I lived with some crazy (i stingy psycho..) chick for a few months, and she was silently trying to get me to prospect for the "81's" (Hells Angels) , i have no idea that while i be away on the road for gigs , that she be a "Fixture" at the clubhouse. Anyway , i met some of these guys, and hung out at the bars that i played at beside my band. When i disappeared this crazy broad - she threatened me with "Oh i hold some friends that are going to pay you a visit" , and i be sh%#@ing my pants for a while! Till another friend of mine (who be friends with the local chapter president) informed him of what was going on, and he told her to communicate me that they don't get involved within THAT kinda thing. So, ...ya know, i get closer than any "Innocent member of the public" , right? so what i know:

1. Whatever you read may own been written a LONG time ago.

Trafficking drugs and organized crime are like peas in a pod thing - i'll make available you "Drugs" , but HA's don't carjack , don't blow up buildings under some religeous program , don't commit jumbled rape / murder / robbery spree's, don't involve "innocent" people surrounded by anything they do (if they were "over their heads" , they chose to be within...)
