Can anyone give me any details on the US Supreme Court travel case: In re Oliver?

I know it involved due process of law specifically the right to a public trial by jury but I dont know what the court's proper ruling was.
Answers: There's no such U.S. Supreme Court travel case named "In re Oliver."

There are three cases involving the pet name "Oliver". I don't believe any of them deal next to due process or the right to a trial by jury.

Teamsters Union v. Oliver

Oliver v. United States

Albright v. Oliver
I could not find the ruling but I do not know exactly where to look. The knit below may be useful.

Internet Pornography?

What do you think of it? Is it unofficial. Well because they do it out of willingness, is it wrong. It's not forced
Answers: Unfortunately, it is allowed, as long as the person on the the ivories is willing to click the button that say "I am over 18 and understand the moral fibre of the site" they have predetermined access. As an experiment, to see for myself, I entered sites as a unsophisticated member (free). With undeveloped membership alone here was every conceivable types of pornography available. Some 'so-called' decriminalized sites concentrate on teenage porn, adjectives claiming that the people involved are over 18, a certainty that on watching I would definitely disagree near. Yes the majority of people involved are of a mind participants but this just passes a commentary on today's society. Just similar to prostitution, No Johns, No Prostitution. With Porn it is the viewers that make the industry not the workers in it, we live in a free cutback society, if there is no constraint there is no object for production. From recent news reports something like child porn it is obvious from the positions those arrested held or used to hold that the problem invades adjectives levels of society. The solution: Maybe the total collapse of Western society, cause us to revert to communal survival systems. [Tribal Living] P.S. The N.T. aboriginal problem stems from "white mans disease" this misuse has no place beneath their Lore or Law.
Not illegal (in the U.S.A. anyway).

Legal pornography is not forced. People who engender and view pornography are inclined participants. And they should be capable of make that choice.

And I do not believe within censorship (except for minors).
For the most part, the authority of internet pornography depends on the jurisdiction in which it's individual viewed. That is, if the jurisdiction (eg. country) from which it is one distributed considers such a thing legitimate, then it is up to the eyewitness to determine the legality contained by their country of viewing such material. Another nouns of legal concern, regardless of "willingness" of participant, would be child pornography, which is generally criminal in most jurisdiction (although, some countries have an age of consent that is to say much lower than those in the US).

As far as my personal belief, I have little problem next to the existance of internet pornography - it has be said that it caused the swift expansion of the modern internet. But, as a parent, I do feel controls could be much more strict on access.
There is without question it is legal, but I enjoy often wondered what is the difference between porn and prostution, both are compensated for sex, only difference is the cameras. And yes, I surf the internet for porn from time to time, it give me ideas of unknown and dirty things to do to the women I sleep with.

Fedex Says My Package Was Delivered But I Don't See It Anywhere...Help?

I was supposed to grasp a package today in the region of 15''x10''x10'' big. I've been tracking it and it said the estimated abdication date was today the 22nd but after I checked this morning and it had changed maxim it was going to be deliver on the 24th so I didn't see a need to check it again but consequently the shipper e-mailed me saying he saw it be delivered so I checked outside on my doorstep and nil was in that and then I checked Fedexs' website and sure satisfactory it said "Left at front door. Signature Service not requested." It was man shipped using Home Delivery and I have never have any problems with Fedex formerly but I checked all around my house and zilch. I don't know if it matters but where on earth getting hit with snow and rime and we usually get packages from Fedex around lunchtime but it said it was deliver at 7:56 P.M. I'm just worried, could it be a glitch? Should I check near neighbors? Thanks
Answers: This exact same thing happen to me today, Xmas Eve. The only difference between me and you is that I live surrounded by an apartment and the leasing agent in the rental department signed for my package according to Fedex tracking, BUT, the leasing agent is axiom they don't have the carton. They claim they recieved some packages from Fedex but nothing beside my name on it. Fedex tracking say it was deliver and signed for.

I called the customer service number and be told that they could not contact the drivers today because of the holiday. I was also told I would own to call fund the day after Xmas. The customer svc rep said she open a claim for me but couldn't give me a mention number so I am seriously doubting that she did anything.

I just hope that any Fedex will pay for the item or they are competent to find it.

Please update your post to let us know how this turned out for you.
You entail to immediately notify FedEx that the bunch hasn't been found. They will contact the driver and try to find out where on earth exactly they left the bundle at your house.
UPS delivered a collection of mine to the wrong address once... fedex couldn't find my house once (amazing since the warehouse is 2 miles up the same street from me!)
If I'm not home, they usually put it surrounded by my carport, but I've had them make tracks them behind the shrubs too--depends on who is running the route that afternoon.
If it was Fed X ground, at hand is no telling...Never use feed X ground .
UPS dose not just "leave" your packages.
Fed X GROUND is THE WORST.
Partied next to them " they get sour daily, once the route's made" the quicker the better .
FedEx usually requires a signature unless someone at EITHER extremity signed a waiver that a signature is not required.

Since most businesses do not want to run the risk of the package not getting deliver, they rarely sign the waiver.

If you signed a standard waiver sometime in olden times for all FedEx packages, they can of late drop them off at your house and you steal all risks of the roll getting stolen.

However, if you never signed a waiver and the business did not, and FedEx just dropped it stale, then FedEx is responsible for the cost of the merchandise contained by the package and adjectives shipping costs.

In what states are bartenders required to obtain records as a condition of employment?

It says on Wikipedia:
"In some states, bartenders are required to get your hands on certification as a condition of employment".
What states? Is New York one of them?
Thanks markedly much for your time, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! :)
Answers: Most states require certification.

Certification usually single means that you hold a food handlers pass (don't sneeze on a plate of food, don't rub food on the floor, sanitary issues, etc...) - not specific to bartending, most wait staff obligation it.

Merry Christmas & Happy holidays to you too!
I know North Dakota requires it.

Fired; is it a case of pregnancy nouns?

I wanted to know if I be fired for discrimination. I started a assignment on August 20th, I was told by my employer that they would accomodate any doctor's appointments that I have, which they did. I did have to phone up in sick and have to leave impulsive due to illness associated beside the pregnancy for a total of 6 times; two of which were consecutive, so according to their rules, singular 5 times. I have a greatly complicated pregnancy due to my own heart problems and diabetes and my employer was aware of this. I be even taken by ambulance on one occasion from work because of a heart episode I have. I had to miss work finishing Tuesday b/c of complications and was fired Wednesday upon returning from work citing too abundant absences. I do want to entry that another employee hired 2 weeks after I be missed about 2.5 weeks from work final month due to her own medical issue, yet be not fired. She also missed two times after that. Do I have a casing of discrimination?
Answers: I don't know if nouns is the correct word. That, I think, is a federal luggage and is there to protect race from abuse because of see, religion, etc. You might want to check state laws. Start calling around until you find the right place to bring back good info. I be always below the assumption you could not be fired for proveable sickness and that includes absences involving pregnancies. If you hold insurance and might be losing it because you were fired, is a thought too. Be sure to check into Cobra if specifically the case. If I couldn't find any support, I would consult an attorney. What they did isn't right? Legally, I'm not sure. Morally definitely. . .Although the reality the other person wasn't fired suggests in attendance may be other issues involved with your firing and too plentiful absences be a easy opening to get rid of you.
Your employer be perfectly inside its right to fire you. Had you been beside the employer at least a year, you would hold likely qualified for up to 12 weeks of time past its sell-by date due to the pregnancy, but because you've only be there since August, you are NOT covered by the FMLA, which is the decree that governs time bad for illness and related issues.

You be fired for excessive absence. True, it be related to a medical issue. But you are not technically disabled, and so it's unlikely your employer would be required to "accommodate" your time off, since pregnancy is not considered a disability, and so you are, thus, not within a protected class.

I don't think you enjoy a case. But you can other go to the EEOC and record a charge. They will investigate the situation at no cost to you, so you really have zilch to lose. But don't hold your breath.

I want to edit to make the addition of that employers are beneath NO obligation to accommodate a doctor's appointment or a sick morning unless you are considered legally disabled or unless you are covered by FMLA. Having a doctor's data is irrelevant. Your employer is free to fire you for missing even one day of work, unless they fire you for self in a protected class. The just possible protected class that you could be in is someone near a disability, and pregnancy is not considered a disability.
they shouldn't have fired you make happen of that you should have gaven them a doctor facts stating that you would need to hold more breaks cause of your pregnancy and put you within a different position

Do you agree or disagree with assisted suicide?

It is completely right if someone doesn't agree next to it then only don't do it don't push your crap beliefs on me. It is because of religion that this is illegal (i love Oregon) the establishment could make a contract with the life span incuranse companys but they would lose all vote of super religious family
Answers: I completely agree with the concept. A person's duration is theirs to do with as they please. If they aspiration to die, then consent to them die! That is my view at lowest. It seems a bit counterintuitive to prolong pain by paying money. I don't meditate that the government should touch insurance, but I do agree beside the concept of suicide.
'crap beliefs'

well, why are you pushing YOUR 'crap beliefs'?

i don't really agree or disagree. you're of late a hypocrite.
100% believe

edit: To Fraginal - Assisted Suicide is not a crime contained by Oregon, it is perfectly official...
I agree with assisted suicide, but singular if the person is mentally competent.

I have two relatives who both had cancer. Both be in extreme throbbing, that medications with the sole purpose dulled. They both endured copious weeks of chemo, that only prolonged their lives, but did not augment.

I know my grandmother would have gone the assisted suicide route, my step-father might own, if it was available.

If a entity has diminished vivacity, with no hope of a cure, why prolong their agony, if they need to die?
Agree. I'm extremely happy that this debate isn't surrounded by the Veterinary field; sometimes folks need to consent to go.

Too repeatedly I see pets in serious affliction and suffering that *need* to die, yet the owners hold on, taking any experimental/low concede procedure because there's hope.

It's the same agency with relatives. Loving relatives clinging to their dying family, but is it love to preserve a dying person alive or to tolerate them die? Don't people say aloud, 'If you love them, let them budge?'

Personally, if it turned out that the high wispy of my day would be when the nursing staff come in to turn me over and furnish me my copious pain meds, and this go on, and on, I'd want my family to hold the courage and ability to enunciate...
Enough is enough.
Why ask the press then?
I don't want to push your c...p beliefs . And regard as your full of bsit.
Ask an intelligent ? so u kn gt ansr.
I figure, if you're so bent on culmination it all, you should at tiniest have the ball to do it on your own. Isn't it kind of boneless if you can't even throw in the towel short someone's help?

Can anyone give me any details on the Michigan Supreme Court Case: In re Oliver?

I know it involved procedural due process of statute specifically the right to a public trial by jury but I dont know what the court's official ruling be.
Answers: A real brief summary would be that Oliver testify in a secretive one man grand jury proceeding. (The one man person a judge next to 2 advisors to the judge present). After testify, Oliver was told that his story didn't ring true (based on nouns of another secret witness early the same day), and that Oliver be immediately found guilty of contempt of court, sentenced to 60 days and urgently taken to jail. In Re Oliver's finding stated that the judge and Michigan Supreme Court violated Oliver's 14th amendment due process rights insofar as he did not enjoy an opportunity to defend himself against the contempt charges. Oliver have no atty, was not competent to question the prior witness (in reality didn't even know about the prior witness) and the Michigan Supreme Court upheld the ruling by the august jury judge minus ever having see a record of the nouns or knowing what went on. You cannot be denied your nouns (sent to jail) without due process. The court held that the defendant must enjoy notice of the charge and be afforded the opportunity to safeguard himself. A conviction without these safeguard is unconstitutional.
