The neighbour across the street won't let us put our mailbox by his and the post organization won't deliver our mail
We of late finished building our house and went to the post organization to ask where our mailbox should step. The postmaster told us across the street next to the neighbor's mailbox. The subsequent day the correspondence carrier talk to my husband and told him about the neighbor have called the postmaster and be not being enormously "nice" about it but that we have to put the mailbox there, we have no choice, and we didn't have to ask his okay. On saturday the builder put up our mailbox and a few hours later the neighbour come over ranting and raving about it and threatening to verbs it out and all that. That evening, he DID appropriate the mailbox our and leave it subsequent to our house. We spoke to the police about it, they checked on something, I don't know if it be the subdivision plat or what, and said that there be no city easement there and so they couldn't formulate him let us put the mailbox near. The post office still refuse to deliver our mail unless it's on that side of the street. What to do?Answers: If at hand is no city easement then you are effectively putting your box up on his property which is risky without his consent. Check with the post department (not the carrier) to see if mail can be deliver on your side of the street. It may be that the carrier doesn't want to be inconvenienced by have to get out of his truck, turn his vehicle around, or come posterior down the street. If you can not resolve with your neighbor, try to draw from the post office to suggest a fair alternative to picking it up.
SUE... sue the guy. sue the post office, SUE EVERYONE!!
Sue the cops, sue the town, sue, sue , sue.. !!!!
Put it nearby anyways...I would put it back every sunshine...Sounds like your neighbor is a as shole
Your mailbox is property of the US Government. If the neighbor messes near it. Call and report them! Can you say 'Federal Offense?'
If you gain something in writing from the Post Office, that should suffice. Anyone who disturbs the transfer of the mail is committing a federal offense.
Get a advocate. There are many variables (build contract, local law, postal laws, etc)
Usually, the city or county, have a right of way, so far from the middle of the road. Talk to them roughly it. The Post Office requires your mail box be contained by a place where it is not unsafe for the mailman, like parking on the wrong side of the street, etc. Sounds close to you have a neighbor close to ours.
Get a P.O. Box since you and your hubby wimped out and let your neighbor rip out your mailbox!
People do NOT own so abundant feet vertebrae from a road or street.. It's not their property to decide that.. Just put it in that and if they touch it call the cops and hold them arrested.
When the state, city, town runs the road they own so many foot (I believe it's 10 feet but not sure) on both sides of the road. This allows for poles, guard rail, sewage, mail boxes surrounded by this case, and sheltered walking distance off the road... I'm sure nearby are other reasons too...
I don't believe the post organization can refuse to deliver correspondence to a registered address unless there's an issue of safety. I deduce you should try going up the ladder, phone call the central department.
Or...you could go down the stepladder. Talk the the mailman and explain the problem. Assuming we're talking give or take a few walking across the street, if you're nice to the fellow he may consent to the delivery regardless.
Otherwise, you'll hold to do pick-up at the local post office. I have to do that for some time in a strange development until the post department worked out delivery to the alien area.

How many ethnic group have a picture of a flag on their clothes? Can beyou too or someone you know...?
You peopl! do you own clothing that has the american flag on it? According to the Flag Code, you anything printed to be exact like the flag is considered a flag. But after it says again that you cant havew the flag on clothing ! that doesnt net sense. So can u tell me if YOU or Someone YOU knoow have the flag on his/her shirt? But then again, isnt that against the directive?Answers: I wear US patriotic clothing most of the time
it is NOT against the tenet
the flag code is a GUIDANCE only
the bit roughly wearing the flag refers to wearing an ACTUAL flag
there is no injure by wearing a shirt with the flag on the front - it shows chauvinism towards your (or in my shield another country)
consider that the flag code was drawn up 80 years ago - when times be VERY different and people view the treatment of the flag differently to today
the code badly desires updating to suit modern trends and culture
wearing a flag is not realy disrespectful as it used to be anyway
most people landscape wearing a flag as an act of jingoism and holding your country and all the flag stands for close to you\
i of course wear the flag itself and have no intention of stopping
I own a flag on my right shoulder of my uniform. Have a nice day.
