Do you resort to personal attacks when your argument fails?

I asked a query which was critical of Bush and the Surge. A few conservatives have no rebuttal except for a single line personal attack. (Examples)
"The surge didnt backfire. But your parents did."
"it hasnt failed but you own at life"
"I assume you are just some Code Pink hackjob trying to spread your propaganda."
A couple more attached a leave-taking shot to their rebuttal but at least they have a rebuttal. My skin is a little too gooey to be penetrated by juvenile tactics. But what does that say aloud about our schooling? Are we no longer competent to engage surrounded by intellectual debate?

Do you challenge the issue or the character questioning the issue?
Answers: No. I wouldn't argue something I wasn't sure around. Of course I challenge issues. I also disobey an individual to back up their claim. I expect equal of myself. We already know we can't trust Hillary, her husband, or Charles Manson, but it appears even we who are not the criminals they are, must also prove anything, and everything we say and do.
Do you certainly listen to the counter argument???

I'm sick to people giving low ratings freshly because they don't agree w/ me. If you are one of those, you deserve it. If not, the responders are just childish assholes.
Because it be a question solely designed to provoke such responses, and as such, it merited those responses.

Intellectual debate start with intelligent question, not smartass questions. There's a difference.
...you newly have to remember that near are many kids on here that simply like to stir things up.
in attendance are also many die knotty bush fans and no thing how goofy our leader get they will get extraordinarily upset if anyone questions his arrangements.
also there are those that lately have no intelligent answers and integer if they attack you personally it will draw attention away from the issues.
i know that this really doesn't answer your grill but i just can't put myself surrounded by the minds of people similar to that. i would have to lower my I.Q. at tiniest 50 points before i would hold to resort to things like that.
i penny-pinching just bring a look at the first answer from santy clause to this question and you see why.
No, if I don't know what i'm chitchat about or anything something like what is being asked later what is the point of even speaking. There are enough idiots out near for that, I don't have time to dissipate my breathe.

It is about the issue specifically what a debate is about. Unfortunately even out candidate for Presidency resort to such childish tactics of attacking the "self" vs sticking to the point!

Our schooling does not uplift a good debate neither does it awaken kids to be eloquent surrounded by speech. Kids sit in their chairs when asked a request for information and just utter "that's stupid" or just snigger off a press because they don't pay attention to what is going on around surrounded by the world.

People are too self absorbed to really thought about what anyone have to ask or say for that concern.
I find the Sean Hannity/Bill O'Reilly (ad hominem) style of arguing to be in extremely poor piece.

I get more self-righteousness in presenting the facts & afterwards allowing others to come to their own conclusions. In my opinion, individuals that are ROUTINELY combative & use personal attacks as a response to a question - are incapable of providing substantive responses.

(red herring are their best friends)
i am first to confess when ime wrong.so no personal attack is ever called for.although im getting on within years..i still am willing to cram from the young as powerfully as the old.knowhow is a power full thing to possess so ime other willing to hear the other side of a argument..to some extent than in force mine onto somebody..lacking the facts.to back them up...seamanab..i agree near l.b.m..what a great man...martin luther king was

Do people really market their organs?

And where do they run?

I know it's illegal, I'm merely curious!
Answers: yes you can find poor people within third world countries that will sell you a kidney, or even an eye (for the cornea) for a price... lucklessly the money doesn't all progress to the poor soul that sells his organ a big chunk go to the middle man that brokers the deal... but hey, they poor individuals so why not buy parts of their body.
Nope. Not in the US anyway.

If society were allowed to justifiably sell their body organs, at hand would be such a surge in murders and mutilations to kind a quick buck such as this country have never seen.

Doctors beside terminally ill or brain dog-eared and brain dead patients raise your spirits the person's relatives to DONATE his or her organs upon his or her death. They are set up to get in the organs in sound out very swiftly after the Death Certificate has be issued in command for the eyes, kidneys, liver, whatever to be as fresh and uncorrupted as possible. The organs are tissue-typed and whoever is subsequent on the list (and who match the tissue typing), is notified to run into their doctor at the hospital, as replacement organs are on their way.

Although the organs themselves are donated, at hand is a large amount of expense surrounded by harvesting, storing, and transporting said organs to their tentative host body, not to mention the new owner will be taking anti-rejection medicine for the rest of his or her life.
Yea,especially surrounded by poor countries.
There was a story around this in my local weekly last week.
They be in an organ donation/selling clinic within Africa (i think) where relatives go and enjoy their organs removed for cash.
There be a picture of this huge line of men, adjectives "showing off" their kidney removal scars.

Where the organs progress...well,by and large they stay in the country they be removed from, but some are illegally put into UK and USA rotation.
Wealthy relations will buy them,if they are on an organ donation waiting list and can't be bothered to lurk, they'll buy one of these organs from another country and "skip" the wait.
It's a hugely sticky question. There is a shortage of organs, but if they be available for sale, lone the rich could afford them. Would that be bad? I don't know.

I hark back to the objections when Mickey Mantle be pushed to the front of the waiting list for a clean liver, because he'd ruined his own from too much drinking.

Unfortunately, a lot of impeccably good organs are worthless, because people, or their relatives, demur organ donation in the event of premature annihilation. I have my donor card, and I hope it stays contained by my wallet for a very long time.

How almost harvesting the organs from executed prisoners, selling them, and giving the proceeds to the victims' family? Just a thought.

And the organ on eBay joke be funny!
Yeah, I was at a tavern killing brain cell and this strange woman approached me and said she wanted my organ. I get scared and bolted for the door because I hear these stories about population stealing organs.

Cheveron fraud?

How long to I have to wallet attemted fraud charges against a cheveron dealer over a 7000.00 dollar swindle for my car human being repaired if this took place in 2001. After complaining to the Cheveron coporation the subsequent day the station have a new sign which read Mobile. Cheveron pulled the franches from the provider and I was told that they be aware of what this dealer have been doing. Does any no what my recourse could be and what recourse do I enjoy againt Cheveron coporation. Neither the dealer and Cheveron corporation refuse to refund my money. None of my money have been given subsidise to me as of this date. I live in Texas.
Answers: The statue of limitations for torts is in general 3 - 5 years (not sure of the limit contained by TX). It is unlikely that you would have a course of commotion against Chevron corporation. They did not commit fraud against you, the dealer involved may enjoy.

You should have file suit against the dealer once they refuse a refund. You probably should speak to a attorney to see if there are any extenuating circumstances that will allow you to sue this unpaid after the action occur.

1. Can the dealer be criminally prosecuted. - No. The statue of cut has expired for any crime that may hold been committed

2. Is Chevron liable. - Not credible. They don't control the stations, they franchise them. Additionally, the statute of limitations has expired.

Just man from Pakistan does not make the owner against the law. I am sure you have not determined his allowed status.

'When the dealer is approched again they threaten to name the police and have you arrested for trespassing." - Changes nil. it tells me that you probably be not handling the complaint in an appropriate carriage.

By the way, you never own mentioned exactly what you feel they did wrong.
you wait six years to b!tch about this??????????

wa wa wa wa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

should enjoy gotten on it sooner.

(you give Texans a bleak name)
Dealers are indpendant businesses. Your beef with him have nothing at adjectives to do with Chevron. That's lately who he used to buy his gas from.

In any event, "who" is responsible is irrelevant - you are *long* past the expiration of the Statute of Limitations.

Did the Patriot Act expire?

I need this really really in haste for my homework...best answer will be awarded!!!
Answers: No, it was renewed.

Could we sue the doctor for...?

My sister was seeing a doctor for her child blues and moodswings after the birth of my nephew. About two weeks before she run out of medication she called the doctor to win a refil. She left numerous messages near the receptionist and on the answering service but he never returned her call. She also call in the refils to the pharmacy and they be not able to grasp ahold of the doctor either. Eventually she run out of her medications and go on a downward spiral. She ended up have to be hospitalized for her condition. Does she have a endorsed standpoint to sue the doctor?
Answers: Can she sue? Yes, anyone can sue anyone. Can she win? That would be up to a jury. I am an attorney, but have little practice of malpractice. Call an attorney that does. They will see you free and assess the case. Good luck to your sister.
conceivably
call an attorney
This is America - you can sue for anything.

Seriously - depending on the outcome, some lawyer won't take the satchel because there isnt' plenty money in it.

She have some obligation to see anyother doctor if she couldn't win in touch next to this one. By your comments, she tried for 2 weeks. If I didn't hear back by the 1st week, I woudl own called someone else.
You stated she be in the process of switching doctors - this could own an impact on the situation. If she notified the present doctor that she be not intending on returning and was planning to see another doctor after she most likely did not construct a follow up visit next to the first doctor in the time frame he required for refill. A doctor is no obligated to fill "phone requests" for refill - especially psychiatric and pain medication.

If your sister knew that she did not own medication enough to trade name it to the first appointment with her modern physician she should have made a follow up beside her current physician to facilitate the refill of medication. I would hazard a guess she signed a broadsheet regarding refill when she joined the practice as a forgiving.

People need to be adjectives for their own health protection and be proactive.

Employee rights regarding sick days, etc.?

My wife works for Payless Shoes. The store that she is surrounded by requires at least 2 ancestors at all times. This is due to a situation that occur a few years before she started nearby. She has worked here for 4-5yrs, full time(32+ hrs).

For the last 6 months or so, the mgr have not been coming contained by to cover if someone calls bad. My wife recently told the mgr that she will not work alone contained by the store and the mgr has be coming in if someone ring up off (not gladly, but hey-it's part of person a mgr).

Well, yesterday my wife was told that she will be loosing her sick days, break days, AND Christmas holiday pay, because they are dropping her down to module time!

My question is this-If a company give you these benefits, and it is listed on your wage stub as time available, can they legally thieve them away if the drop you down to part time?

If the can not properly do this, who do we need to contact. I've looked at some of the gov. websites, but the info is mostly on disability nouns, etc
Answers: If she has already earn those days, they should not be able to pilfer them away.

However, a lot of businesses hold a time limit to use those days, or a parameter on how many days can be save up.

If she has impracticable her sick days within the calendar year, they probably don't roll over to the following year.

Your city or county should own an office that deal with question like this. Look surrounded by your phone book in the establishment pages lower than "employment"
THe benefits she is looking for are available to full time employees. He cut that when he changed her status.

I'd nickname the labor relations board.
they cannot take away what you own already accrued
i reccomend she run that paid break time she does have and look for a investigational job
Yes, you can. It is simply like individual laid off or one demoted.
Payless should have an member of staff handbook. I would check it out. Also, I would contact Corporate something like being made element time because you refuse to work alone contained by the store. I wonder if upper management is aware that he doesn't show up.
A company can do nearly anything they want or necessitate to do in regard to benefits, schedules, termination, etc. It DOES NOT nouns like any labor law were broken. Labor law protect from discrimination and turbulent and physical harm.

Stop wasting your time looking for some helpful of compensation/revenge and spend your time looking (or helping your wife) look for another job.

You wife be employed "at will" meaning she, or the employer could coppers the conditions, or either one could stop midstream the employment. This is how it works.

Get over it. Get on with it.
I agree near other responders that your wife is an at-will employee and that the store can fire her for any defence or no reason. However, the "any reason" cannot include against the law reasons. If you wife feel like she have been "demoted" because she reported a despoliation of store policy, the company may be liable. It's called retaliation, which is actionable.

Your wife should contact the regional coordinator, or whoever is her manager's boss, and inform them that the manager have cut her hours because she was seeking to enforce a store policy. If the regional bureaucrat is unreceptive, move up the chain. If not a soul in the company is responsive, contact the local or state Labor Relations Board.

Again, this MIGHT be a shield of retaliation and is worth pursuing somewhat, but there is no guarantee.
benefits are not a right of employment thus the occupancy benefit.
if she has days that she is owed that policy states she earn such as vacation time that she should know how to take. compensate for sick days or holidays et-cetra that are not already owed to the employee can be discontinued at any time. check beside your local department of labor enforcement or job service doesn`t matter what it is called where on earth you live they will pursue this for you if there is any defilement of law.
number of hours per week that qualify as full-time is set by the company some it is as little as 32 others consider full-time 38.
I would hope that businesses were allowed to verbs to part time if i.e. what they need to do to stay within business.

Is this fair? pay packet before christmas?

basically been told yest that where on earth i work our pay won't be surrounded by our accounts until the 28th Dec, every other year its always be the friday before christmas afternoon but they have simply decided to relay everyone that it will be after it, we don't have a coalition and its a small local company but some ppl are worried sick as they were counting on that pay envelope for christmas dinner/presents etc, we wouldn't of minded if they had made/told this finding in october so we could prepare ourselves, what can we do (legally)?
Answers: You could ask for a sub on your wages as it would do unnecessary hardship for you to linger given the time of year. They could refuse this. However, collectively, if you adjectives complain straightaway, and particularly support those individuals who are desperate, then the company may relent. You could seize everyone to join a coalition and ask the union to intervene - it may not be surrounded by time for this Christmas but it will damn well bring in sure the company doesn't pull anymore stupid stunts approaching that. If you really all touch very strongly, wander out - it will be an illegal situation but if you adjectives do it, you stand a better chance of human being heard. Good luck.
This is down to poor planning .

Suppose your company go bust tomorrow and even retrieved Novembers pay from your narrative ?
Are you working to live or living to work ?
don't know, most firms seem to money their staff before Christmas, yours are human being a**holes

It's weird, but can i shoot someone if they are stealing from my property?

Okay i live contained by a very ghetto neiborhood, society steal so much, and yesterday they broke in my vehicle. They carry arms at time, how do i know? It's a really small hood, and well everone know eachother basically. Anyhting that happen, everybody know within days. So the grill was.will i acquire in trouble if i do something more or less it, because the authorities wont do nothing!!!! By the method i live in Texas.
Answers: Texas does enjoy a castle doctrine, so yes you can use deadly force to safeguard not only yourself but your property as powerfully. Most states do not allow that, but Texas is one of the few.
As long as you don't shoot them in the rear legs, you can claim self defense.

However, I would find it very intricate to kill someone, even if I be being wronged.
If they are not threatning you I expect shooting them would get you contained by trouble. Your life have to be in hazard.

I suggest moving.
There are a couple of 'requirements' in Texas.

First.. if they are INSIDE your home, it's clear season.

Secondly, if it can be proved that there is a concieved threat to damage some person, later again, open season.

You do not own to have a concealed handgun license to you a fire arm on your own property.

As for shooting them outside the house cause their stealing your sports car or something else, then the lines grasp a bit fuzzy there. I do know of an instance where on earth two guys were trying to steal a friend's sports car when he heard them and from the safekeeping of his home door, he told them to leave and that he have a gun. The robber's replied back 'We own a gun too'. At this point he fired two rounds, one incapcitaty a robber on the spot while the other 'wounded' the second robber who managed to procure in another vehicle and drive a short distance previously he crashed. While the gentleman did own to go to court and facade charges, he was found not guilty by a jury. He spent lots of money on this.

So.. my suggestion. video is a GREAT tool to use except a weapon outside the house. Inside the house, a firearm works well.. newly realize that anything you have can be taken away from you and used against you.

Good luck and I hope this help!
how good are you near a gun?
can you really do it?
or will you miss, and have them shoot fund at you?
i think it's a really discouraging idea, even if it's legalized.

Is it against the law to shoot someone if they are stealing your pet?

I want this question answer asap please so I can do a report on it so please lend a hand me!
Answers: in most jurisdictions- YES it is against the tenet
If they've illegally enter your propert and you see them as a threat to your saftey and to your property (this will include your pet) then you could most imagined get away beside self defence.

Just to be on the not detrimental side though, put up some signs around your property like "Trespassers will be shot" and so on and so forth. Then they will enjoy been warn.
The only path you can shoot someone legally is if they are threatening release or great bodily harm to you or to another human individual. Youcannot use deadly force on someone stealing your property, which includes pets.

Also, pay no attention to the person who said to put up signs informing race that trespassers will be shot. Those signs have no legitimate effect.
yup pretty much
