Law Questions and Answers
What do you think just about waterboarding and the harsh interrogation technique?
are they right? wrong? why?Answers: Torture is always wrong.
It's also informal.
We can now never come out against torture and be taken seriously, as we are very soon torturers.
Torture does not yield accurate information.
And it's wrong.
Besides, most of the citizens we tortured were innocent.
The purpose of torture is NOT interrogation -- other methods are much more forceful. It's purpose is terror.
Thus, by committing torture, we ARE the terrorists.
We can no longer claim to be the suitable guys.
Into your favorite search engine, type "Amnesty International" and read up on it.
If they do not inflict permanent physical or mental sprain, they are not torture...and fair winter sport.
If we KNOW that someone has information which will retrieve a number of American lives, afterwards ANYTHING is fair activity.
tai m...usually I do not respond to people who be in motion off on rant like yours, but it is time to blow up your simple minded thinking. First, you state that studies show that relations will say anything including making stuff up when man tortured. This is true, but they ALSO TELL THE TRUTH SOMETIMES. Now, first I will repeat that WATERBOARDING IS NOT TORTURE! But say that we hold 5 terrorists and we waterboard all 5. Two describe the truth, and 3 lie. The 2 contribute us information which saves 3,000 by stopping attacks...WAS IT A GOOD IDEA! You try to portray that interrogations approaching waterboarding NEVER gets us any truth, but to be precise wrong. It DOES get misinformation and lies sometimes, but it also get truth.
Silly World...so you would compare waterboarding with SAWING OFF THE HEAD OF AN AWAKE MAN WITH A SWORD AND WITHOUT ANESTHESIA???? Dang, you requirement a dose of reality.
tehabwa...you are so full of it that you can be smelled through the internet. Get legitimate. IF WE DID TORTURE, IT WOULD BE FOR INFORMATION, but nothing that the US does would be considered torture by any commonsense person. If it does not inflict permanent twist...what is the problem?
Is shouldnt even be a question, any human self knows its torture, in good health unless you work for the Bush administration, its not torture its "Enhanced interrogation", merely because you chnage the name doesnt silver the fact that its torture. Any human individual with a soul and heart and adjectives sense will say its wrong, powerfully maybe if you are a republican you wont, because torture will "protect" us. right...
If we KNOW that someone have information which will save several American lives, then ANYTHING is disinterested game. This is the menatlity the Bush direction is trying to put in americans brains, thinking torture will in reality give TRUE information. Studies own found that when someone is torture he/she will say ANYTHING, including making up facts, to clear it stop. Those who say its ok because it will facilitate us, you are out of your mind and need to start facing actuality, instead to thinkin of yourself as some kind of patriot. If you wanna be a true patriot after stand for the beliefs that america was founded on and it wasnt founded on torturing other human beings.
Fuk the righ wing bitches! your not tough, your just bunch of bitches pretending to backing the nation, in certainty when your doing the exact opposite.
Hey tai m, Islamic terrorist enjoy no souls.
Everyone tortures and if you think America is desperate then dance to the Middle East or China and then relay me our water boarding is discouraging.
No one should be tortured but child molesters and Islamic terrorist should.
Note to silly world: Good thing Europe tortures.
What is ok near America is, OK with the enemy of America.
If you want ethical treatment of your captured troops you should treat your prisoners ethically.
But alas, its a see to the bottom of human behavior. Sad that America has taken the low road. Europeans know better
Many Americans are surrounded by favor of this, and i agree that some force needs to be applied to take vital info. but how far is too far? I reflect on its fairly break, but if we say its no problem, next whats our view of these tecniques on american citizens? what would our antipathy be to american gi's being waterboarded by, articulate, cuba, or saudi arabia? and if we set the prescedent that harsh interogation technique are ok, how long will it be before the fbi or cia uses it on regular american citizens? its a slippery slope, especially when i really dont trust the management (not just the bush supervision either, the full thing).
And Cicero, not the most elequent statement, considering you named yourself after one of the greatest orators of adjectives time.
If you inflict terrible spasm upon someone, they will say anything to trade name it stop, whether it is true or not.
George Washington was emphatic roughly speaking forbidding mistreatment of prisoners. He believed that brutality undermined military discipline, and discredited our cause. He know full well that the British did not reciprocate these design.
I believe that it compromises our morality to deliberately inflict twinge upon a prisoner. While their crimes may be so grave as to indicate lifetime imprisonment or even passing, we should not be cruel (cue 8th Amendment of the Constitution), and after a court has found them guilty. Please entry that 14th Amendment states that no person shall be deprived of life span, liberty or property, lacking due process of law.
Also transcribe that we did sign the Geneva Convention. Treaties, again are to be held as the highest directive of the land, forbids 'cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment"
The Constitution explicitly forbids the system from taking certain activities. Not in the United States, not anywhere.
Such appointments are morally reprehensible, unconstitutional, illegal, and impeachable.
I am for them. An eye for an eye and adjectives that stuff. Does America want to be the guys in the white hat with Ivory handle pistols and go down below the top shouting, "but we are the good guys!" If you want to win you play to win..adjectives the way.
Was I Too Violent?
I have studied kungfu or wushu since I be a child. I have progressed to black belt since after.Anyway, when I was contained by New York City a couple months ago, I was walking tardy at night by myself. I be traveling through an alley because it be the shortest way to call on my grandmother. A mugger tried to take my purse. He have a knife.
First entity I did was take his wrist and break it. He dropped the knife and cried out. Then, I back-handed him and continued to punch him. I be so angry that this would happen to me, I almost couldn't stop. I consider back kicked him onto the side of a dumpster. He have blood on his face after I be done.
Do you think I go too overboard? Any experiences with mugging and how did you bar it?
Answers: I think you go a little overboard, It sounds close to you could have stopped after you broke his wrist. But I would say-so that this is all legitament if he be mugging you, it was adjectives in self-defense right?
Hell no
THat IDIOT have no right to rob you.
Well, you sure taught him a lesson.
As long as you didn't waste him.
You took care of yourself- more power to inhabitants like you. Way to stand up for yourself!
no route, that's hot.
Occupational hazzard.
I think you where on earth too nice!
I would have stuck the run through somewhere he'd never forget it.
I've never been mugged, but my mom be once . She just give the mugger what he asked for. (since i'm sure she didn't know kungfu) and that was the simply thing she could do.
sounds close to you did a good commission defending yourself but I think after breaking his wrist, you should own just like greased lightning left (since you sway he dropped the knife) instead of continuing to punch him until he be bloody. ...just my belief though.
no i think you handdle it polite cuz if some had muggle me i would of close to kill him cuz he be the one muggleing people.
hope i backing!!
well if u arent lying;
i dont suggest u went to overboard.
and why on mud were you walking at darkness alone?
that was stupid.
Hmm, even though this is probably deceptive, only because it sounds too much similar to a movie, then yes, it be way to much.
If he didn't hurt you beside the knife or depart from any long term bring down, then yeah, you go too far!
I am a guy, and I haven't been mugged so far.
But I am terribly impressed by the way you speak you handled him. If here were more women approaching you, there would be a smaller amount crimes on women.
Go girl!!
um ya u were a lil rough but he did try 2 stel from u u shud hav gotten him off of u and run away
i wudda been pissed 2 but i cudnt hold dun wat u did
I've not been mugged but you don't know what else he required aside from your purse. Good for you - hope he learns his lesson.
Not too rebellious. You took the threat out of the situation and taught him a lesson.
I be mugged once. I am licensed to carry a gun. I drew and call the police.
it sounds like a story but things come to pass like that and if i be in your position and some guy tried to mugg me i would see him there you know and run lol purely as bad i meditate but yeah you went for a time over board
I need an End User License Agreement for some medical software that I wrote. Where should I run to get it done?
Can I trust purely any random regulation firm to get it done correctly? What are probability that they might leave out something high-status? And how much will this cost?Answers: No, you should not just pick a uninformed firm. You should find someone who has done this type of work previously.
I've charged fees range from $1500 for a simple user agreement to $5000 for more complex licensing issues. It's sturdy to tell where on earth your software would hit on that scale. But quality free to toss me an e-mail if you'd like to discuss it.
Can I own a gun with Domestic Violence conviction?
I be charged w/ Felony Domestic Battery. (got in a come to blows with my father, he get cut.) Plead guilty to a Misdemenaor charge of Domestic Battery and got 2 years probation. My P.O. have me sign my rights to possess a firearm away. My Question is after probation can I legally own a Handgun or not? I live surrounded by Illinois, might move to Texas.Answers: Probably not; you would need to consult next to an attorney.
Quote:
My P.O. had me sign my rights to possess a firearm away.
No.
You can "own" a gun but you cannot possess it. Federal regulation prohibits a person convicted of domestic ferocity from possessing a firearm. Illinois and texas might or might not have similar law, but it doesn't matter because it is a federal crime for you to possess a firearm.
Is this illogical or ungrammatical?
The believe to be sentencing Conrad Black said:"No one is above the law and that includes you (Mr Black)"
Answers: Yeah, a moment or two. The 'that' actually refers to the entire statement "not a soul is above the law" but it isn't the greatest-structured remark ever.
Is there a foundation anyone should care?
The spoken word is commonly ungrammatical and illogical.
Have you ever read transcripts? They're crazy, however people appreciate such speech all the time.
Peopleare other constructing their sentences as they talk, and normally sort of change gears contained by the middle.
Ungrammatical...do you need the brackets? Or is that a direct quote from something.
I would put a comma instead of a colon instinctively.
Edit - oh I see. "No one is above the law" is a statement...a rule. "That includes you Mr Black" is saying near, you're not an exception to the rule. It works.
"Mr Black, no one is above the law".
Why is it necessary to pass an concealed weapon?
in my state [nebraska] they made it legalized to carry an concealed weapon contained by some districts why is it necessary to conceal a weaponAnswers: some society feel concealed make less of a "scene". Many states hold open take laws and afterwards everyone knows you own a gun. Concealed carry keep it hidden. If a individual is law abiding and have passed all required checks, why should it event anyway?
I'd be more worried about those who own no permits and are looking to wound you.
The recent shooting in Colorado be stopped cold by a woman with a concealed transport permit.
Virginia tech have several students who where close to the shooting and have been denied the right to take on campus even though they had permitted, Virginia full carry permit. Imagine if one of them did have a gun, how heaps lives would have be saved.
Coincidentally, the states next to the least restrictive gun law have the LOWESt crime rates (Vermont) while those beside the most restrictive gun laws (DC, NY, NJ, Ca etc) adjectives have cities next to the highest crime rates. Wonder why explicitly?
An unarmed person is a sufferer.
Criminals prefer easy target. They don't like 'victims' that spar back. If they don't know who is armed, they never know if it is 'safe' to attack someone.
NOTE: Nearly ALL mass shootings share the following characteristics:
A. They appear in 'gun free' zone.
B. The shooter turns the gun on themselves unless someone shoots them first. Shooting them BEFORE they are don't shooting others saves lives.
C. Some anti-gun nuts other call for MORE law that would not have stopped the shooter, but WOULD enjoy prevented a law abiding character from stopping the shooter.
It is necessary to conceal a weapon when you don't want other general public to know that you have it. People beside this legitimate entail are, off duty police officer, judges, money and rock couriers, victims of certain crimes, and some would say-so anyone that didn't want to become a victim
What direction do you think our society may be going on abortion rights?
Answers: People tend to own positions similar to those of their parents. People that have abortions tend to enjoy fewer children than those that deny abortion. If you accept these two statements, you must verbs future generation tend have a greater percentage of family that oppose abortion than more rapidly generations. By my math, doubt to abortion naturally increases over time.
Roe v Wade is here to stay.
It cannot be overturned constitutionally.
As the sensitive of the pro life community improve, they will all become pro choice. It is a proven reality that a person specifically pro life cause the death of more humans than a individual that is pro choice.

"Have you ever been convicted of a crime"- is a 3 year weak DWI a yes?
Answers: Yes it is.
A first offense DWI is a misdemeanor crime.
Richard
depends. was it a misdemeanor? Most DWI's are. You may hold plead it down to a lessor, non criminal offense or violation of the imperative, which is NOT a crime. In that case the answer would be no.
You call for to see exactly what the disposition was. Usually, first time DWI's are plead down to a DWAI (driving while knack impaired) or similar offense.
Get out your court records and look. It will sometimes influence or at least offer the penal law code or VTL code you plead guilty to. Then look it up.
post the info, what state you are surrounded by and the law you where on earth convicted of and someone on here will find out exactly what it is.
Well, usually the questions on applications ask if you own ever been convicted of a "felony".not merely a crime.
But if i.e. the actual question.okay, yes it is a crime.
I recommend lying anyway...if it comes back for you to keep .explain you thought that was merely a traffic issue, and thus, omitted it from the application.
If you be convicted, the answer is, and always will be YES. If the request for information was "Have you ever be convicted of a FELONY?", the answer may not be yes. My version is more adjectives on job applications, but answer the interview you were asked.
Could you please give me a synopsis of how a bill become a law?
I've widely read this before, but I've become a bit rusty on the subject.Answers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEJL2Uuv-...
click on that, its college house rock explaining how a bill becomes a directive, i loved watching it as a kid !
I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm with the sole purpose a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the property city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting surrounded by committee,
But I know I'll be a law someday
At most minuscule I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.
Boy: Gee, Bill, you without a doubt have greatly of patience and courage.
Bill: Well I get this far. When I started, I wasn't even a bill, I was a moment ago an idea. Some folks fund home decided they required a law passed, so they call their local Congressman and he said, "You're right, there oughta be a tenet." Then he sat down and wrote me out and introduced me to Congress. And I become a bill, and I'll remain a bill until they decide to generate me a law.
I'm only just a bill
Yes I'm only a bill,
And I get as far as Capitol Hill.
Well, now I'm stuck surrounded by committee
And I'll sit here and wait
While a few knob Congressmen discuss and debate
Whether they should let me be a decree.
How I hope and pray that they will,
But today I am still just a bill.
Boy: Listen to those congressmen arguing! Is adjectives that discussion and debate about you?
Bill: Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones. Most bills never even go and get this far. I hope they decide to report on me strategically, otherwise I may die.
Boy: Die?
Bill: Yeah, die in committee. Oooh, but it looks similar to I'm gonna live! Now I go to the House of Representatives, and they vote on me.
Boy: If they vote yes, what happen?
Bill: Then I go to the Senate and the in one piece thing starts adjectives over again.
Boy: Oh no!
Bill: Oh yes!
I'm just a bill
Yes, I'm with the sole purpose a bill
And if they vote for me on Capitol Hill
Well, then I'm bad to the White House
Where I'll wait contained by a line
With like mad of other bills
For the president to sign
And if he signs me, then I'll be a ruling.
How I hope and pray that he will,
But today I am still just a bill.
Boy: You be going to even if the whole Congress say you should be a law, the president can still right to be heard no?
Bill: Yes, that's called a veto. If the President veto me, I have to run back to Congress and they vote on me again, and by that time you're so antiquated...
Boy: By that time it's very unlikely that you'll become a statute. It's not easy to become a statute, is it?
Bill: No!
But how I hope and I pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.
Congressman: He signed you, Bill! Now you're a canon!
Bill: Oh yes!!!
So you don't have to keep watch on the video more than once.
Anyone may draft a bill; however, only member of Congress can introduce legislation, and by doing so become the sponsor(s). There are four basic types of legislation: bills; mutual resolutions; concurrent resolutions; and simple resolutions. The official legislative process begin when a bill or resolution is numbered, (H.R. signifies a House bill and S. a Senate bill), referred to a committee, and printed by the Government Printing Office.
The following are the steps of legislative procedure:
1. An idea must first come from the public. Ideas start and are transmitted to Congress by lobbyists, public interest groups, PAC's, and grassroots political movements.
2. A member of Congress, any a Senator or Representative must then sponsor the bill.
3. The bill must be introduced to the floor of the House or Senate.
4. Referral Committee: With few exceptions, bills are referred to standing committees surrounded by the House or Senate according to carefully delineate rules of procedure.
5. Committee Action: When a bill reaches a committee it is placed on the committee's calendar. A bill can be referred to a subcommittee or considered by the committee as a integral. It is at this point that a bill is examined carefully and its probability for passage are determined. If the committee does not achievement on a bill, it is the equivalent of killing it. The Committee Chair have the right to "pigeonhole" (not assign or hear debate on the bill) thus killing it.
6. Subcommittee Review: Often, bills are referred to a subcommittee for study and hearing. Hearings provide the opportunity to put on the record the view of the executive branch, experts, other public officials, supporters, and opponent of the legislation. If a subcommittee votes not to report legislation to the full committee, the bill dies.
7. Committee Action to Report a Bill: After receiving a subcommittee's report on a bill, the full committee can conduct further study and hearing, or it can vote on the subcommittee's recommendations and any proposed amendments. The full committee consequently votes on its recommendation to the House or Senate.
8. Schedule Floor Action: After a bill is reported subsidise to the chamber where it originate, it is placed in chronological lay down on the calendar.
9. Debate: When a bill reaches the floor of the House or Senate, in that are rules and procedures governing the debate on legislation. Amendments may be added to the bill at this time.
10. Voting: After the debate and the approval of any amendments, the bill is passed or defeated by the members voting.
11. Referral to Other Chamber: When a bill is passed by the House or Senate it is referred to the other chamber where on earth it usually follows the same route through committee and floor undertaking. This chamber may approve the bill as received, reject it, ignore it, or redeploy it.
12. Conference Committee Action: If only minor change are made to a bill by the other chamber, it is common for the legislation to step directly to the President for signature. However, when the actions of the other chamber significantly alter the bill, a conference committee is formed to reconcile the differences between the House and Senate version. If the conferees are unable to conquer agreement, the legislation dies. If agreement is reached, a conference report is prepared describing the committee members' recommendation for changes. Both the House and Senate must approve the conference report.
13. Final Action: After a bill have been approved by both the House and Senate contained by identical form, it is sent to the President. If the President approves of the legislation, he signs it and it become law. Or, the President can transport no action for ten days, while congress is surrounded by session, and it automatically becomes ruling. If the President opposes the bill he can veto it; or if he take no action after the Congress have adjourned its second session, it is a "pocket veto" and the legislation dies.
14. Overriding a Veto: If the President veto a bill, Congress may attempt to "override the veto." This requires a two thirds roll call vote of the member who are present in sufficient numbers for a quorum.
It have to first be written and then revised next If I remember correctly it has to elapse both the house of representatives and the senate, then the president have to sign it. For anyparticular change surrounded by wording it has to run back to the first house, and later pass the protocol again. Sometimes the bills are reworded because they don't carry enough votes or some parts of the bill are disliked and such. I myself entail to reread that because I am getting to know more about the EU's process of governing than my American way. Reading too much just about history too.
