How likely do you donate money on behalf of firefighters and police men?
I normally receive phone calls asking for monetary donations. The caller identify themselves as firefighters or someone / some organization on behalf of firefighters died on duty, or a police man.Personally, I see that firefighters and police men are capably paid and receive devout benefits. Also, they should have their own time insurance because of the nature of the work.
The state statute requires an employer offer Workers’ Compensation Insurance to adjectives employees. Do local government buy Workers’ Compensation to their firefighters and police men?
Answers: those phone calls are a scam. I used to work for a place close to that ( not saying adjectives are scams but most possible YA)We called elderly ancestors and rich white folks.By the way, I QUIT within 1 hour of being their. My husband is an Firemen and He lone collect money for Jerry Kids Org. or for the elderly in the summer to give support to buy fans. So, mind if you want to donate to the fireman's just but them lunch(they love to eat) !!
Much of the money collected by those companies go to the companies and not to the firefighters or EMS, if you want to give you should impart when the firefighters or EMS are holding fundraisers themselves.
Usually the funds raised turn to extra things like the widow and children fund, injury fund...they don't walk towards salary or anything resembling that.
I give what I can, and would dispense more if I could. They provide a necessary service and I don't believe they acquire paid nearly ample!
The average salary for a firefighter within the US is less later 39,000...that's not a lot and they risk their lives everyday!
I debris to answer or hang-up on any calls that look approaching telemarketing calls.
The workers' comp issue is probably dependent on the state. Minnesota, for one, have a law that requires adjectives employers to any pay into the state workers' comp system or to privately fund their own.
Just for your personal edification, police and firefighters aren't adjectives that well compensated. My husband is an IT/IS worker and makes instrument more per year than a firefigher or police officer makes. Generally, any administration employee, which includes police and fire, aren't compensated well unless you are vastly high up contained by the hierarchy.
this is not permissible for them to do, and i doubt if they are who they say they are!!!
police are not allowe to solicit funds from citizens, and i am surrounded by firemen within my town, they dont solicit money either!!!
I will contribute when the locals collect, esp for the volunteer firedept, but the phone call are mostly scams - 90% to the collectors 10% to the ones supposed to draw from it.

What is the general % of award an attorney will charge on personal injury covering?
Can they charge whatever they want, or is here a legal contain?Answers: It is based on the agreement that you make with the attorney. The percentage is convertible at the beginning, not at the expiration. Some states have a check. Others have no explicit hinder but limit arrangements to "reasonable" cuts. Depending on the complexity of the baggage, the likelihood of prevailing, the predictable amount of the damages, the amount of work that might be needed to obtain the taste and the likelihood of in actual fact collecting on the judgment, the contingency tax could range from 20 percent to 50 percent.
It depends -- respectively attorney will have different restrictions depending upon what is needed. . . usually, they charge less if it's settled in the past court action is initiated, rather more if it's settled once court action is initiated, and a bit more if it's settled through court doings.
I've seen charges near settlement through adjudication surrounded by a court for as much as 40%
Is it illegal to use wireless internet that you don't money for?
Here are a couple of instances:1. Your neighbor has it and hasn't put a lock on it, in consequence enabling you to touch in.
2. A local business have it and if you park across the street you can tap into it.
Answers: Public libraries present "free use of the internet," so I do not see what is the problem. Now if are referring to free cable, that is illegitimate.
Yes it is in reality illegal.
It is burglary of services.
The moment you become aware that the wireless connection you are on is not a public nouns (coffee shop, library, etc...) to which the terms of use state that you are allowed free access, you must discontinue using that connection.
Most public wireless hotspots are for the benefit of the clients of the establishment specifically paying for the internet access. NOT for public use.
-----edit-----
I find it interesting how many responses appear to believe that it is not illegal if they don't encrypt their wi-fi. That is essentially like logic as saying it is not unconstitutional to steal flowers and plants from the graveyard. There is no locked gate, and nearby are no signs saying that it is risky to take the flowers. Someone else remunerated for it, and you are taking it outside of the terms of use, written or implied.
It is not stealing, not at adjectives.
If they don't want you to connect to it they would in crypt theirs. It's their glitch it will never hold up in court.
That's the unharmed point of wireless Internet is to get it for free.
But keep under surveillance that's coming next I bet.
There is no imperative against wireless Internet.
The point of wireless Internet is so you don't have to earnings for it.
No, Some coffee shop are offering it for free
and some airport have the hot spot that u can use
the internet.
Yes, you can be arrested for it. While I don't believe it have its own section of the imperative, it is illegal to use a service you haven;t compensated for unless that service is being offered for free, close to from a library.
Think of it like a garden hose attached to a faucet on the front of your house. If someone turns on the faucet and wash their car, they are stealing your dampen because you are paying for it.
If not illegal it is notably unethical. Getting something you own not paid for is not right.
Right is right even if not a soul does it. Wrong is wrong even if everyone does it. Govern yourself accordingly.
It only just amazes me as to the ethics of today's youth. No wonder we enjoy a "dumbing down of America"
What are the two ways in which an amendment can be ratify?
its a homework question.Answers: it have to be passed by the Congress and approved by 2/3 of the state legislatures.
If we throw bananas at it, or if we coat it within olive oil, and after bury it in the dirt for three months -- if the broadsheet is unscathed when we dig it up . . . consequently, the amendment stands.
For God's sake -- read the constitution. It isn't THAT long.

Is there a legal representative in Indiana who accept social security income cases beside no fee unless he win?
Answers: Most social security attorneys I've see don't charge a fee unless they win your bag. The best way to find out would be to google a dedicated firm and check out their website.
I know Binder & Binder is a national law firm who doesn't charge a levy unless they win your SSDI/SSI case.
If U r disabled, try going to your local disability rehabilitation organization and see what they can do U you. They'll help U return with SSI income quicker and for no money.
To Those Of You Who Question The Legalities And Moralities Of Everything!!!?
Okay, So as a person who ponders the 'whys' and 'why nots' I happen to ask myself If a Legalist dug in those books of Law both at the inner and National level... Could a flaw be found or a bit an illegal Ration for the Extremely High Prices on Gasoline, As Silly as this sounds, it does seem to be to constitute cruel and unusual punishment for a war some of us NEVER started. Also, isn't it ironic Homeland Security haves a huge impact beside "Transportation" it is mainly what they settlement with. I am sure I am sounding close to a geezer right about very soon, but I may find that answer out someday, than what?Answers: What people don't realize is that an grease company doesn't just resolve on a price for gasoline. Crude oil is a commodity, traded on the stock exchange. If there's lot of grease on the market, stock owners can't constraint too much for their shares because buyers won't pay it.
Refined gasoline is also traded on the stock exchange. Again, supply and constraint controls the price.
The only control by OPEC is to tilt or lower production. Lowering production reduces the amount of grease on the market and cause the value to jump up. If refineries enjoy problems, then smaller amount gasoline is available on the market and the merit goes up.
Most empire no longer remember the corner gas wars formerly 1973 where gasoline be nearly given away in super-sales to lure customers. With rising prices, in that are actually law dictating minimum price (based on the stock market respectively day) so that big oil conglomerates cannot force mom & pop gas stations out of business.
For what it's worth, the EPA did a honourable job of that, themselves. But check nymex.com and see the price of crude grease and refined gasoline. (New York Mercantile EXchange, and nearby are stock exchanges, too.)
It's not a matter of what OPEC charges, or what the grease companies charge, but what stockholders are scared of. And not newly American stockholders, but stockholders all over the world.

Morally right but unlawful?
can anyone give me an example of something that is to say morally right BUT unlawful.Answers: Rosa Parks springs immediately to mind. It's morally right for a man to tolerate a woman have the form on the bus, but it was immoral because the seat be toward the front and she was black. Fighting is another accurate example- Morally it's fine to knock a guy unconscious for disrespecting a woman within public, but legally it's assault and mobile.
As the moral values of a society grow, it's normal for the law to be behind the times.
giving duty hugs (or Random acts of Kindness) is unlawful surrounded by some places.

Rescuing someone from a burning automobile from the result of an accident is moral right. However, if you injure the personage while in the process consequently the act can be punishable contained by the courts...
If someone is trying to enter your dwelling, perhaps beside the intentions of harming your inherited, etc. and they become startled, turn their back and you shoot them surrounded by the back. It be morally ok to shoot them (self-defense for the family) but at the same time you can be punished for shooting the potential robber...
Not really.
But I can cite an example of IMMORALLY wrong and Illegal.
Electing a derogatory prez.
Just look at the effects from the motivation!
If someone is breaking into your car.
Morally, It is yours and you should enjoy the right to stop them by whatever mode; But -- It is illegal to stop them.
1. Shooting child molesters, rapist, murders.
2. Growing weed for dying cancer patients.
Killing pedophiles.
Lying underneath oath because you know that making a particular statement might be misconstrued as guilt for someone you know for a reality is innocent.
For example, it is morally right not to aid the enforcement of a victimless crime law (such as the drug law or underage drinking), but it is illegal to do so. It is decadent to charge somebody with a crime when in that is no identifiable victim, but it is evil to refuse to aid within the enforcement of these immoral law.
It is also morally right to refuse to remuneration taxes, because taxes are merely the government's euphemism for what would be called extortion when not done by the rule, but it is illegal not to take-home pay taxes.
