USPS law concerning address letters?
My home just just this minute moved out of a home into another and the ex-landlord is being a tangible pain. My sister (17) didn't swing the address at work and her check went to the feeble house. Well the landlord have it and hasn't called us put money on. Is there a ruling against hold mail from us, Can i report a claim against her? What will happen?? Please permit me know what i should do. Oh and I have call her about the check already no answer and it's be 24 hours since that call.Answers: How can you know that the proprietor has the check? If he really have it, he has committed a federal crime. Call the USPS and report appropriation of you mail to the postal inspector on duty. The Postal Service take that stuff very seriously.
By the approach, despite what anyone on here may say, it is unfair for the landlord to throw away your communication.
The landlord can not hold the post, however he can either return to sender or throw it out. No business what the landlord decide to do, she is not obligated to call you.
If you registered your property in the signature of a company which did not exist?
who would be the legal owner? Uk answers please.Answers: I assume that the company or individual would own to come forward to claim ownership at some point in time and when they can't it would walk the Crown.
Doubt that you could, but if you had, later the company that didn't exist would be, and would stay, the legal owner. You'd own difficulty proving you were - even if you could prove you provided the funds: paying for it isn't like as owning it.
Similar although in reverse to owning a vehicle, I suppose. The registered keeper isn't necessarily the permissible owner.
You would have difficulty contained by selling the property, and if you died your descendants might not be able to inherit it.
Consult the experts surrounded by this field, outstandingly those that have experience within illegal political event donations because they would be the ones most likely to know how rules can be bent for this type of scam.
How many society believe in the destruction penalty? Why / Why not?
Answers: The extermination penalty should be used for "cruel & unusual" crimes, serial killer and the string of cops that seem to keep hold of murdering their girlfriends/wives, when there is beyond a shadow of a doubt as to their guilt.
It's not about wanting to "bring back" at someone, it's about protecting our society and not wasting our precious due dollars on someone who can't be released or rehabilitated.
Yes, you could argue that the punishment itself is cruel & unusual, but in some cases, it is a essential evil.
In the US it costs roughly $26,000 a year to keep 1 prisoner alive within prison. Not adjusting for inflation, which would produce it worse, if someone stays in prison for duration, from age 25-85, that costs us 1.3 million dollars, just for that one personage.
If they committed truly heinous crimes, beyond a shadow of a doubt (think Jeffrey Dahmer types) where near is no way we would ever agree to them out, and rehabilitation is out of the question, do us adjectives a favor and use that 1.3 million to do something good surrounded by the world.
Yes, I'm sure some innocent people enjoy been kill by accident. By if you examine their "innocence" you regularly see those individuals are far from being upstanding member of society. Not that they deserved death, but usually they are lowlifes who hold committed many other crimes and/or be associated with the actual contract killer. A necessary risk contained by my mind.
The biggest need for move in the Death Penalty is how like greased lightning we apply it. It should happen inwardly 6 months of their conviction if there is irrefutable proof.
I enjoy no problem with it.
Atonement... retribution... revenge.
I dont believe surrounded by the death cost. It's a tough subject, but ultimately God is the only one that can go by judgement.
Absolutely. The death cost is for people that enjoy no redeeming social value, they hold displayed a contempt for civilized behavior and have chosen to discount the basic rights of others. Namely the right to time. Some criminals cannot be rehabilitated and keeping them alive and behind bar "for the rest of their natural life" can even be construed as cruel. Sometimes the most humane item to do is to put them out of their and our misery.
I think contained by many instances that punishment fits the crime. If you execute, or irreparably damage someone to the point where on earth their quality of existence is suffering due to your actions, you should earnings the consequences by sacrificing your right to/quality of existence. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
It doesnt keep ancestors from committing crimes. Most importantly, being innocent or guilty within this country depends on what arrogant SOB of a lawyer represents you. Having said that, why snuff people that might be innocent to start off with. Alot of individuals are jsut being released from prison former 10 and 20 years of time served by being cleared next to new technology especially rape cases.
There are some individuals we don't need on the planet.
I am for the disappearance penalty, especially for those that commit murder and child molesters - and yes it does stop criminals from committing crimes, one criminal at a time.
Hey bleeding heart I don't want to house the sobs for the rest of their lives.
Murderers and child molesters don't deserve a second chance to repeat their crime. It is adjectives nice and sweet to be against the death cost until it touches your life. Why don't you grant your sympathy to someone truly deserving, like the victims who have no choice in the event.
I am against the death cost for purely practical reasons. First, it take a LOT of money to execute someone - the state average cost is 1.7 million dollars to put one person to loss, compared to a third of that for keeping someone in prison for enthusiasm. Death penalty trials lift much longer and have to turn over every bit of evidence before the sentence is given. Even afterwards, there own been various people on disappearance row who have be found innocent because of later DNA evidence.
There is also the factor of the intense toll it takes - Not on the prisoner, but on those that put the prisoner to destruction. It's a lot easier to swallow putting someone surrounded by prison for life, than it is to put them to departure. Imagine yourself sitting on the Jury that convicts someone to die. Or being the decide that gives the sentence. Or worse, mortal the person that certainly flips the switch that kills the human being. That's a huge emotional burden, no event how that person tries to claim it in their manager.
I'm much more in favor of vivacity in prison short possibility of parole. However, I do think that prisoners should be made to do some form of manual labor while trailing bars, instead of a moment ago sitting idle.
I agree beside the death cost, but I don't agree with how it is recurrently practiced around the world (including in the USA.)
I believe that those found guilty of willful, premeditated murder below criminal circumstances should be executed...provided their guilt is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. For that sort of evidence, I'd need any videotape of the crime or DNA evidence directly linking criminal to victim surrounded by the course of the murder. (I know that nothing is 100%, but those two are easier said than done to disprove.)
I don't approve of the decades of time between sentencing and execution. I think one appeal should suffice, and required to be file within a year or two of conviction.
When it comes to in reality dispatching the condemned prisoner, I'm fine with the current methods surrounded by use (lethal injection, electrocution, hanging, etc..) but I realise that nearby are many who quality these methods are painful and cruel. My suggestion would be to adopt a piece of equipment like the guillotine, because sudden blood loss from decapitation renders the criminal knocked out instantly and all signs of existence are extinguished within twelve second. No other method can brag that, even on a good hours of daylight.
I suppose you can say that I am pro-death cost in assumption, but I think the practice desires a lot of work!
You don't enjoy to sympathize with criminals or want them to avoid a hideous punishment to ask if the death cost prevents or even reduces crime and to devise about the risks of executing innocent inhabitants. Your question is much too central to settle on the basis of nouns bites.
125 people on release rows have be released with proof that they be wrongfully convicted. DNA is available in smaller number than 10% of all homicides and isn’t a guarantee we won’t execute innocent folks.
The death cost doesn't prevent others from committing murder. No reputable study shows the death cost to be a deterrent. To be a deterrent a punishment must be sure and swift. The death cost is neither. Homicide rates are higher within states and regions that have it than within those that don’t.
We have a devout alternative. Life without parole is presently on the books contained by 48 states. It means what it say. It is sure and swift and rarely appealed. Life short parole is less expensive than the passing penalty.
The destruction penalty costs much more than life span in prison, mostly because of the lawful process which is supposed to prevent executions of innocent people.
The departure penalty isn't reserved for the worst crimes, but for defendants beside the worst lawyers. It doesn't apply to those with money. When is the end time a wealthy character was on disappearance row, let alone executed?
The demise penalty doesn't necessarily relief families of murder victims. Murder target family member across the country argue that the drawn-out death cost process is painful for them and that enthusiasm without parole is an appropriate alternative.
Problems near speeding up the process. Over 50 of the innocent people released from departure row had already served over a decade. If the process is speeded up we are sure to execute an innocent entity.
Never received items from ebay, can anything be done?
I ordered an lb80 jacket from an ebay seller on November 12th...the trader didnt bother mailing it untill 21st of November but assurred it would be sent guarenteed Christmas nativity. He went a mail the item, but got no tracking number and no model at all of an estimateed abdication date.i lived in america for a year and know for a reality that if you send something by post you catch an option surrounded by how many days it get delivered..It is still not here and i emailed the street trader many times and finally asked him if he would give a refund if it didnt brand name it for xmas and he replied with I POSTED THE ITEM TO THE GIVEN ADDRESS...WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? I am very soon in the position that i dont own anything to give this personality for Christmas, cant afford to buy anything else.is there anything i can do?? Does this street trader owe me anything or is this totally my won problem?Answers: it's not Christmas yet it may still arrive within time
did you use pay-pal? if you don't receive the item contact them they can handle the dispute. as far as a reimbursement for not getting before Christmas, did the vendor advertise you would receive past Christmas? if not you can't use that as a basis for a refund. where on earth is the seller located and where on earth are you? you state you lived(past tense) in America so i assume you don't very soon. you also state he posted(not a common phrase within America) the item so i assume the seller is not within America either so how American post works would have no position.
I had a similiar problem this summer. I file a complaint with both ebay AND paypal. If you used paypal you should be covered if you asked for it to be deliver to the address you have on profile with paypal. BUT the street trader is not responsible for how long something takes to return with to you. This time of the year the mail is VERY slow. NEVER buy anything from someone who will not do nativity confirmation or provide a tracking number. Good luck! (Tell the person you bought it for that you ordered something and it purely won't be there within time for the holidays...I am sure they will understand.)
Do you strongly believe that Robert pigton really received a fair trial.?
Answers: yes, i muse thats evident surrounded by the verdict of 2nd point and not 1st. justice be served, but they need to try him on the other 15-20, freshly to make sure he never get out.
Sorry, never heard of the guy
How do you prove that abraham lincoln valued authority, that he was responsible and traditional?
Answers: That would be a tough opening, considering that he violated his oath of office and the Supreme Law of the Land during the Civil War. After adjectives, the federal government be never given the authority to compel states to be members of the Union against their will, especially by force.
Lincoln be a despot who suspended habeaus corpus, used force to close newspapers than question the war and allowed a trde surrounded by war materials beside the south that prolonged the war while his buddies grew rich.
Is it illegal to save a personal check from one family applicant to another if the check has nil to do w/you?
My husband's grandmother gave out comparatively a bit of money this year for Christmas. My husband's check ended up person for $12,000. His mom has the check within her possession, and will not give it to my husband. The check is made out from my husband's grandmother to him. His mother took him to the edge and tried to get him to sign the check over to her. She told him that she be going to put all $12,000 within a savings commentary in her baptize so he couldn't have access, and said that he couldn't enjoy any of it. My husband refused to sign the check noticeably, but she still has it. My husband and I are both deploying to Iraq contained by 2 days. She is mad that he didn't finish college this semester, and that's her reasoning to try to pocket the money. Some of the money could be used right now so we don't hold to worry almost paying bills online while deployed. She is a lawyer and a adjudicate, but my husband and I are curious. Is it legal for her to hold a personal check from my husband's grandmother to him?Answers: yeah walk to the bank near her and in plain outlook plublicly ask her for the check and you can have a guarantee officer get it from her.if the officer cant legaly capture it from her at that momment,he sure can call the right athorities for you right in attendance and then.
i have that same issue with my cousin and when we get to the bank she didnt even want me to touch the check so i call the officer over.he asked both of us for an i.d. and the check in quiz.she did theaten me with court action but agreed that she was within the wrong.
or just call upon the popos!
No, I wouldn't think it be legal at adjectives. She is in possession of stolen property and I'm sure she know this.
Why didn't he just thieve the check when she handed it over for him to sign? At that point, it have HIS name on it and she can't do anything in the region of it...
This sounds like she's ridiculous! Even if you DID blow the money (which sounds close to that's her worry)...that's your problem, not hers.
Where is "grandmother" in adjectives of this?
Yes this is illegal! She's a attorney and a judge? She could be disbarred for this and dismissed as a settle. Sounds like a charming woman. (Said beside sarcasm.)
With only two days, I'm not sure what you can do as far as going through courts, police, etc.
Is the grandmother still living? Could you contact
her and explain what's arranged. Perhaps she could have the money electronically deposited into your commentary (and cancel the check next to her bank so his mother can't brass it). There is a small fee for electronic transfers, but if she can afford a offering of $12,000 a $20-30 fee shouldn't be an issue.
Good luck. God bless you for your service, and may He maintain you safe during your deployment.
How can we abolish custodial violence and torture ?
Police are entrusted near the duty of investigation and collecting evidence to prove the guilt of the accused within a court of law and contained by accordance with canon. For this purpose, they are entrusted with immense powers . Too often, this power is abused and misused and torture is inflicted on any suspected party. Police often believe that this is essential to find out the truth but then even an innocent will "confess to his crime" not sufficiently expert to bear the agony of third degree methods...HOW CAN VIOLENCE BY LAW-ENFORCING AGENCIES BE JUSTIFIED ? Can the police lift law into their own hand and for their own purposes ? Does Law permit this ?
What consequently is the solution ?
Answers: If you are talking of Indian Police, please don't expect anything worthwhile. This is the worst sector of Indian regime.
So far as custody is concerned , there have to be proper monitoring from time to time to observe and see how this is going on.I guess , contained by India, the NGOs are more suited for this job.
Custodial torture and within many cases resulting into cuastodial extermination in India is a Shame to the nation. It seem there are just about any codes of civilised way of keeping suspected/undertrial ethnic group (male or female) in this country. The SC can play a honourable role in this by bringing the erring / crminal Police of this country. There be some efforts on some occasion to dig into the matter(s) relating to such inhuman deed. But, ultimately everyone gets away next to such crimes. One can't expect civilised norms to be pracised surrounded by such a serious matter on the whole because, the corrupt / illiterate/ immoral policing and the complete investingating system are such that India has to shift through this as a way of natural life.
Even a few honest and hardworking sincere Police Officers who try to investigate and detect the the persons responsible for this heinous crime are usually not like by the corrupt administration of India. .nad, these sincere ones are sent to petty posts as "punishment posting".
I have no confidence in Indian Indian policing..and, what almost " raping of women by the police while they are under custody?" What a shameless lot this country have to enforce / supervise law contained by this country?
The "code of conduct" of the police was made long ago by the colonial power and this have already outlived its utility. No one is keen plenty to rewrite the whole code of conduct of the police to suit the free nation as it is today.
Hi in that,
=before blaming the police force, why dont we public , behave better ? why give a providence to the police to behave like that ?
=let us abolish the political party.
=let us go posterior to the old gold ingots "kingdom rule", resembling saudi arabia.
=let the greedy, thieves, and the cruel receive punished immediately by whipping and chopping of the hand infront of the public immediately,
=then the family will be happy and so also the police...
otherwise, what is stirring is "left" blames the "right" and vice versa.no progress for the country.
it is our "naseeb"...wat to do ?
best wishes...
With apologies to Jane Austen for borrowing the first few words of my answer. It is a universally acknowledged fact that the cop shop
is the single place where the customer is other wrong.Having accepted that,it is individual in
dictatorial regimes and banana republics that
custodial brutality and torture are inflicted on the suspect. In India which is neither of the two types mentioned above police torture is very
adjectives because of various factor, only two of which entail mention. You have guessed it right.
Corruption and abysmal working conditions
coupled next to more abysmal pay scales. The former stems from the latter. Here again, worthy of mention is a former PM's clever remark that corruption
is a way of natural life in India. When you collate the
above you will realise that it is very well nigh
impossible to eradicate custodial violence and torture. But whip heart from the fact that this sort of treatment is on the decline what near
even the poorest of the poor having observe their rights.
Mr. Jesus Christ got overpowered up and was tortured and later put on a cross... Mr. Gandhi got defeated up . shot in his chest...
what is wrong if me and you get beaten up or tortured for a moment.
don't look for problems, specially others. and you will notice that you be not beaten up or tortured.
any better solutions?
I cant possibly answer this press as it is too difficult to answer. Police men in India are too much corrupted. It adjectives results from small mistakes. Good men should be employed; in the sense, they should hold the capacity to distinguish honourable and bad.
Are there law against women using their being feminine to get ahead contained by the workplace?
If not, should there be?Answers: Under Federal imperative an employee cannot be discriminated against because of his/her sex -- see www.eeoc.gov. It is merely as illegal for a masculine to be discriminated against because is a male, than for a woman to be discriminated against due to her sex. Cases hold been successful brought by males who be terminated due to their sex, usually in an adjectives female department.
Because of the long history of sex nouns in the work place (men still hold the majority of guidance, directorships, and CEO jobs) (women are still paid smaller number than men for the same jobs) abundant businesses have be bitten by a sex discrimination lawsuit brought by females. Unfortunately at hand are some females that use these facts to push a company into promoting them, not due to the skill of the female member of staff but due to a fear of a lawsuit.
I cogitate that is leveling out. We are in a minute seeing more males who will sue the employer if they are discriminated against/bypassed for promotion/terminated merely due to a sex quota. The decision of the courts is that any sexual nouns, no matter what the sex, is undemocratic. We are also seeing more employers wake up to the fact that advance a policy of reverse discrimination does not solve long standing problems and will not be tolerated by the courts.
No, it is without blemish legal to screw your bearing to the top. Now, the company can fire her and her boss if they get caught.
What are the elements to the crime of auto theft-larceny?
Help, I have an exam tonite, and cant find the answer, I already sold my book rear!Answers: Auto theft is a relatively recent totalling to most criminal codes. Theft required "the intent to deprive the owner of all or a portion" of the appeal of an item. Meaning an intent to keep it. In my state, as within many others, auto break-in statutes were written to delete this component of the crime. Thus, it does not matter that someone steals your vehicle to use it for a day and dump it on the side of the road (as it probably should not). For a more detailed astuteness compare the difference between conversion and theft. Conversion involves unlawfully using the property of another in need the intent to keep it. Theft add the element of depriving the owner of the attraction.
I hope this helps. I am not sure what manner of exam you have, you may hold to check your state statutes for more clarification.
depends on the state. but intent is one element.
