i sold an item for $250, and afterwards sent this express post. the seller 'claims' they received an unfurnished bag near a hole in it, and have started a paypal dispute. paypal has told them to profile a police report. what will happen subsequent??
Answers: For an item of value approaching that, hopefully you sent it Fed Ex or UPS or some other insured method.

Request that they provide the package beside the hole in it, so you can claim it from your owner. Likely, they would need to do that contained by a lawsuit anyway.

Is the death sentence still on the statue books within the UK?

I was told it's still possible to recieve the loss sentence in the UK for treason. Is this correct and a Lord can ask to be hung by a silk rope,Fact or fiction?
Answers: The concluding time the death cost was used be 13th August 1964.

It was abolish in November 1965 near the exception of Treason, piracy with belligerence and arson in Royal Dockyards.

Arson within the royal dockyards was dropped contained by 1971.

The death cost for treason and piracy was concluded on July 31st 1998.

The only time funds punishment can be used in the UK is contained by times of war.
The destruction penalty can be given for treason. I don't mull over this is likely to ever grace our courts again though.

SIlk rope not sure.. but in that are many stranger outdated laws that hold just never be reviewed:

It is still legal for the those of hereford to shoot any welsh found within the borders after midnight. (With their bows of course).

Hackney Carriagers (TAxis) are still legally recognized required to carry a bail of hay (for the horses).

All public houses must provide patrons near a free glass of dampen if requested.

I am sure there are various more.

We tend exercise common sense a bit than wasting parliaments time voting on the recission of antiquated statutes.

Still that might stop them invading everyone and making even stupider laws.
Yes you can still grasp the death cost for treason and piracy on the high sea. Murder someone and you can get away weakly though????!

Can I Join the Marines with a DUI misdemeanor?

is it possible? it be only a DUI misdemeanor for person pulled over. it had nought to do with a vehicle wreck.
Answers: The Recruiting FAQs link at the Marines website does not expressly state any of the criteria that might be a tablet to entrance, but fill out the form requesting more information here - if you don't mind them knowing who you are and where on earth to find you - http://parents.marines.com/page/ParentsF...

It's not an especially helpful site contained by that regard, is it? Which make me think, they want to occupation your interest enough to put together you submit your contact information. Before you do, please consider the fate of U.S. Iraq period of war vets, who are forced immediately to bring a lawsuit against the VA for negligent and sometimes utterly fictional health thoroughness and even deliberately cheating them of out of disability benefits. The sincerity is that with expensive technology, soldiers survive roadside bombs but solely barely, habitually as trunks without arms and legs. More in the region of the lawsuit here: http://pokerpulse.com/news/viewtopic.php...

But never mind, if the marines won't have you, Vancouver's finest probably will: http://bccondos.ca/forums/viewtopic.php?... Get this:

You may be middle-aged, enjoy just a high-school training, and exercise less than an hour a week, but don't rule out a work with the Vancouver Police Department.

As part of a set of its new recruit drive, police have posted an online survey where on earth even the seemingly least qualified candidate are encouraged to apply. Const. Tim Fanning, shown quicker in 2007, say the online survey is designed to direct people already interested contained by policing to one of the department's information sessions. As it turns out, clicking the worst-possible answer under every category still doesn't disqualify you.

"Do you enjoy what it takes to be one of Vancouver's finest?" is the give somebody the third degree posed at the top of the survey, part of the VPD's push to hire 100 different police officers. The survey asks prospective recruits more or less a dozen questions on their age, childhood, leadership and wellbeing experience, fitness level and group effort skills.

It turns out that somebody over 36, with basically a high university education, no management or security experience, who scarcely exercises and may not work well beside others, makes the first cut.

Medical marijuana - state or federal?

Who should control law for the medical marijuana? State or federal government? Why?
Answers: Marijuana is interstate commerce. Therefore the federal government can enforce federal law against an individual growing their own personal marijuana for medicinal use, even when the state has a ruling permitting such cultivation.
it wishes to be a federal law.
the defence why federal laws are tough than state law.
I believe the state governments. The ninth circuit said (and I agree) that medical marijuana is not "interstate commerce" if it is grown by the long-suffering himself and not transported out of state. The supreme court overturned, saying that any marijuana could be transported out of state, and hence constitutes "interstate commerce" and can be regulated by the federal government.
The certainty we're debating this shows that it is a stalking horse for Dems and radicals. CA and most states own basically de-criminalized MJ. Possession of small amounts for personal use are usually not prosecuted, and when they are the penalty are insignificant. Millions of people surrounded by the US buy MJ everday without prosecution and the police aren't hunting them down. Thinking that the police will start target cancer patients and glaucoma patients who are smoking weed in their own homes is foolish.

The Dems/whackos want to create a political issue out of this. Their goal is to standardize marijuana, and has nought to do with alleviating suffering among the under the weather.

But, to answer your question, Federal law always supercede State Laws. If the Congress pass a law which say using or selling MJ is a crime, no state can pass a statute saying it is decriminalized.
Since the feds are in charge of prescription medication, I have to allow it's the feds. But I think it's BS that my doctor can contribute me morphine, but it's against federal law for me to impart me marijuana. I'd rather be in motion the all-natural method than screw around with man-made drugs, gratitude all alike.

The only 2 race who should *really* be involved in this discussion are the doctor and the tolerant. If it makes someone who have a chronic or a terminal health condition get the impression better to smoke a little pot, I mull over they should have every right to. Someone close to me have MS, and she's basically a prisoner trapped surrounded by her own body. If smoking a little pot made her perceive better, how can you - or the government - communicate her that she shouldn't? That's heartless, surrounded by my opinion.

(For the story, she does *not* use medical marijuana.)

Edit - I live in a medical marijuana state...but why would you want to be put on a administration list as someone breaking a federal statute?!?
Of course, state. Why should we in California hold to have alike laws as within Alamama or West Virginia???

Why Exactly Do Asian Countries Have Such Harsh Anti-Drug Laws?

I just looked-for to know why some of the Asian countries have such rasping anti-drug laws (such as death) for drug selling and possession.

I'm not adage drug use is bad or not but only wanted to know if near was any expert reason they treat drugs so seriously and rough over there?
Answers: historically, Britain, contained by particular, forced them to buy drugs surrounded by exchange for silk and other products.
while it's true that drugs do not contribute to the betterment of a society, it's my guess that in quantity, the harshness is moved out over resentment.
Because drugs could interfere with the WORK, WORK, WORK, mentality.

(Why do you have a sneaking suspicion that pot's outlawed in the U.S.?)
lead to crazy liberalism has not goten in attendance yet. somehow it hasn't they are still safe and sound.

or answer #2
they live in massively structured socities without personal freedoms.
Because drugs interfere next to the well one of the community.

When will Al Sharpton apoligize for indicting the three white Duke University students before trial?

Al Sharpton can run down to Jena, Louisiana to look after black students who admittedly beat a white student unprovoked even so he is not man enough to apoligize to the Duke university lacrosse players for slandering them contained by the media. I hope they will sue his butt.
Answers: Don't hold your breath. He is a see pimp, and only jump into matters surrounded by which he feels will hold racism alive and well. Otherwise, he might hold to go out and receive a real livelihood instead of tying up the courts with erroneous litigation.
He should apologize. He made a rush to result and it's the respectable thing to do. If a white man have made the rush to judgment more or less a black man- then Al would be demanding the apology.

However, don't hold your breath. None of these folks who similar to to stir up trouble apologize when it turns out they were wrong. Guess his momma never qualified him to apologize when you make a mistake.
Sharpton is a racist lying SOB, he can never and will never apologize for something he said regardless of how racist or horrible it be (is) He does not truly give a d-a-m-n almost the blacks in this country (USA) adjectives he is concerned about is making sure here is racial strife so he can verbs to get his reimburse check and live the high energy.

Taking a line from the OJ trial and modifying it a tad for AL, "If the glove fits, your a piece of s-h-i-t"

People approaching Al and Jesse do more to hurt race relations than the worst white citizens, they are cynical, and hypocritical as well as liars and use their power or position to influence innocent people

Looks close to they got B D MAC hook row and sinker!
jena was for a time more than ol al could chew. he had to phone call a white woman to help him out. poor al. he will never apologize for anything wrong doing.
caution: he is coming to a town near you!
update on jena. the mayor murphey mcmillin have plans to put together two focus groups to resolve racial problems within our community.
You mean close to Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilley, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter do daily? They consistently attack and slander associates being tried for crime lacking any concern for the facts-just their opinions. The play style guru, jury and executioner almost daily. Do they apologize? Besides that have absolutely nought to do with the situation you quoted. It is close to comparing apples and oranges because your apples are rotten and you want to sell them so you do not want anyone to know they are rotten!

Is it true the government is watching everthing you do on the Internet?

From every website you've be to, when you were at hand, and how long you were in attendance, to every single letter you type contained by a search engine or e-mail.

True?
Answers: The Government isn't really "watching" but if they considered necessary to find OUT where you be traveling around the internet, it's very straightforward for them to do. Police do it all the time---you supena the computer documents from the particular server that the being uses and voila, your entire surfing history can be produced. However, the authorities ONLY do this if they are conducting an investigation and YOU are part of that investigation. contained by order for the rule to have someone watching the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of associates who surf the net every daytime, they would have to hire too lots people and it would totally cleaned out the government.
You know, if the government biggest worry is my Internet surfing.I'd be pretty damned delighted with that. My nick on it is that you'd have to be doing something pretty shady to single yourself out of the hundreds of millions of Americans.

Privacy contained by the digital age is merely an illusion. *Anyone* who is determined adequate can get adjectives the info they want on you. The fact that any drooling lunatic can obtain a MAP to your front door (thanks, Google) concerns me far more than the govt.
No, this is not true. There are over 300 million people within America, and prolly about 100 million who use the internet day by day. They might monitor certain things, but they dont support about what you type surrounded by a search engine and what you are emailing your friend something like.

They probably keep a check on undisputed websites and things that discuss different national security issues, but the establishment doesnt give a crap around anyone. Governments are created to be retarded and stupid :)
They are alerted if certain words are used and afterwards assess the wordage. If it is determined something 'bad', they keep an eye on you for a while.

If you live within China, then the parliament is regulating the whole internet and you obverse prosecution if you post anything outside of government regulations.
