How bad will i achieve sued?

ok i was walkin my dog one darkness and 2 girls were walkin along the sidwalk and later they wanted to pet my dog w/ out askin and the dog considered necessary to lick their face but one of the girls felback and hurt her final...she got up by her self said that shes fine and everything ok. afterwards 5 days later i win a letter that say im being sued...does anyone kno what they can sue for?...she be not injured

be your dog on a leash? possibly some elaborate claim that your "vicious unleashed" dog attacked her? did the dog certainly lick her? perhaps she picked up some dog-virus??

If they're claims really are lacking merit, do not give within, and do not settle out of court. There are lots of people out near that just engender as many frivilous claims as they can, and hope to settle out of court for some hurried easy currency. If there's enough on the file, hire a PI to do some back-ground research and see if they've made lots of claims like this.

If the letter be from an attorney and simply said you are going to be sued, then I would keep on. You might want to consult an attorney to give you counsel on the matter though.

Sounds iffy to me. 5 days? She be not hurt? So what is she going to sue you for... hospital fees for a sore butt? Then there is the integral homeowners insurance contacting them. Normally you would be served in personage or sent something that says you are mortal sued (by certified mail).

A court day would be established if it have any merit. Otherwise it would look like an attempt to a short time ago extract a settlement from the insurance company. I don't deduce our constitution should be changed, but there are law on the book that are obsolete and they have need of to be revamped...such as the Blue Law, spitting on the sidewalk , etc. If anything, we need to affix some laws but not surrounded by the Constitution by our forefathers. Haven't they already changed laws resembling wearing a seat belt, the proper safekeeping seats for kids, the cell phones within NJ and other states which now require you to use headset. Animal poisoning and laws?

my neighbor nurture my dog antifreeze and poisoned food on his property and killed him. The police won't do anything almost it because it was "on this property and we live within the country" What laws save for animal cruelty can we hold against this man? He also leaves out the antifreeze to kill stale all other animals, he said, "we necessitate to be more like China and control our animal population." He come out and admitted to what he did, but the police won't achieve invovled, what can we do?
