Is Richard Dawkins abusing his position?

As everyone know, Richard Dawkins, former assistant professor at the University of California, was given a newly-invented and dubious position of "Professor of Public Understanding of Science" by a millionaire some years ago. But Richard Dawkins appears to be abuse this position by combining personal opinion beside scientific facts and dishonestly calling it "science". Instead of promoting science (which heaps people respect as one the greatest testaments to God's glory and possibly a ability to discover God eventually), he is promoting "scientism". By teaching the public scientism instead of science, isn't Richard Dawkins greatly abuse his position as "Professor of public understanding of science"?

I cogitate Dawkins does a very honourable job of separating his evaluation from scientific evidence, labeling respectively as such. I don't agree with his core premise that there is no God--which he supports both beside opinion and experimental facts. But I read his book and thought it was vastly good, and it give me a lot to meditate about. I approaching to think!

We enjoy a very a pity trend in the US at the moment. If we disagree with someone, we quality it's okay to say anything bad point we want about him, whether it's true or not. It doesn't come from religion, it comes from politics, but politics and religion are so tied up at the present time that people confidently get them confused.

I see Christians doing this and it bothers me because I conjecture people of religious conviction have, at least possible, a responsibility to speak truthfully and to be fair contained by their criticism. Talking about science as an alternative religion to Christianity is contained by this category. It allows people to simply dismiss experimental thinking as 'anti-Christian' just as conservatives dismiss anti-war population as 'anti-American'. In both cases it relieves Christians from the need to consider the other person's positions or claims seriously.

Are gambling and prostitution officially recognized in Nevada but not contained by the rest of the USA?

What does the criminal charge PTR and G/S CAPIAS mean ?

I be looking at the local website of people within my comminuty who have warrant for their arrest and I am unsure of what the charges mentioned above stand for because I'm not famililar with criminal argot. Can anyone help me out ?

G/S capias stands for General Statute.

Do I need to acquire a licence to own a fox in South Carolina?

I enjoy always required a Red Fox Kit. I am not new to animal attention, and was wondering if I would involve a licence in my state (SC) to do so. Or, does anyone know where on earth to look to see if I need one?

Answers: You may want to look beyond the state -- the federal rule sometimes regulates who can and cannot have "wild" animals -- for some animals, the feds will require you get some sort of license or permit.

Be aware of vicarious liability, too -- unsophisticatedly, it says that if your fox get out and hurts somebody / destroys something -- you're almost automatically liable for it -- JUST because you're keeping an animal which isn't considered to be domesticated, as a pet.

Can you be fired legally if unknown owners buy out a fanchise biz?

Ok, so subway fired a bunch of people when the contemporary owners bought them for absolutely zilch! The new owners of late didn't want them to work there anymore! Is this allowed? My sister-in-law was one of the ones fired and she really needed this available job! What can she do if it was iffy??

Our society without law?

What would a large society close to ours be like in need laws or a system of criminal even-handedness? would you want to live in such a society?

Answers: The mess would require many, copious body-bags. Without fear of retaliation the current gang would dominate a large part of a set of our cities. Folks in the countryside might fare some better for awhile. Without a lawful system anyone could declare themselves a ruler and collect taxes at anything rate they felt (more extortion). Family sprite would return to the rural areas and once again the lynch mobs would ride. Old westerns on TV are a pleasant visit put a bet on, but not the truth.
As a civilization we have come a tremendously long way. Though we appear to be burdened with a immense load of law and restrictions, it is working. Without the structure of society we lose the comforts like power, hose and someone else growing our food. Return to medieval times, not a chance.

Without law this country would be like the Wild, Wild West once again. Everyone would do their own piece and usually get away next to it. It would be the 'law of the land' type of enforcement near guns and hangings, rape and assault on anyone by anyone. I personally would lead for the hills beside a shot gun and pistol. A good mule would assist too and a couple of chickens.
