Should Masteral and doctoral degrees contained by engneering be offered only to licensed Engineers?

Answers: In my state, after you get a BE you qualify to hold the Engineer in Training (EIT) theory test. You can then work as an fix in training for a minimum of 5 years. After 5 years you can qualify to embezzle the Professional Engineer test. If you outdo that, you can advertise yourself as an fix.

There's no reason why you shouldn't know how to go straight through institution to an ME. You just can't influence your an engineer.

If this be allowed to happen, what else is going to be restricted.? Right very soon, we are being restricted to departure in the identify of "national security", how much more of your rights do you want to give up? 75%?, 95%? what? I think a devout friend of mine is being screwed over big time by her boss - anyone enjoy any suggestions/advice?

We live in the state of Arkansas, and my friend works at a local pharmacy. She works some really crazy hours. Like, 4-5 days a week, adjectives of which are shifts of 12-14 hours each. Now, this doesn't nouns like a unpromising deal, but her boss won't settle up overtime rates. What he does (and this seems really wrong to me), is that he pays her for the regular 40 hours a week, and anything over that, he pays her through another financial company that he set up. He refers to this as "contract labor" . Simply put, she makes duplicate for a normal hourly rate as she does next to her overtime hours. She might even work 70 hours, but never gets remunerated a dime more for her overtime.

So, is anything about this wrong or evil, or does she just hold an incredibly crappy job?

Answers: This is without doubt illegal contained by most states. Check with your local labor board. If this is true and it is crooked as in most states the employer will own to pay her support wages. He will probably find a way to take rid of her and she will be out of a job, but she will seize her back income.

Grace, Your friend works in Arkansas which is a right to work state! that human being as it may. does not relieve the cheap SOB (Boss) who is playing fast and loose beside the Federal Labor Laws. What he is doing is highly informal. setting up another company to pay her out of to avoid the reward of overtime is a violation of the Federal Labor Laws!, specifically a big defilement of the (FLSA) Federal Labor Standards Act.
Have your friend contact the United States Department of Labor, Enforcement Standards and lodge a complaint against this cheap scumbag! He's probably a foreigner, am I right?
They will investigate all the channel back three years near the whole company ! he'll be paying alot more than basically your friends back over time. The Federal Gov will not tolerate this from business owners because they want the workers to be compensated overtime, it's more tax dollars for the policy ! they'll go after this rat believe me.

Contact a local attorney that handle employment law. Each State's law about over-time give the impression of being to be different. But it does appear that your friend is getting the shaft.

If the boss is violate the law, your friend might be entitled to not solely the back reward, but also maybe some compensation as very well.

Contract labor laws can be really funny. Years ago, to gain around paying taxes and benefits, some companies in the trucking and mechanic industry tried this same point of contract labor. But the IRS stepped in and defined contract labor. Basically, if the worker can eliminate a certain post, or come into work, or leave work when ever they please, next they are contract labor. Truck drivers used to be really screwed by their employers. A material contract labor truck driver can refuse to drive a nouns for what ever reason, but these trucking companies be firing drivers if they refused a nouns. That the IRS said was an member of staff, therefore the owner of the company have violated the law and have to pay huge fines and driver compensation.

Yes it is totally criminal so she should speak to the Labor board. The store may be audited and the company will have to reward back take-home pay plus interest to everybody.. and contact any exemployees and inform them that they will recieve it. They will actually do an audit going subsidise 10 years.

And if the company fires her for complaining... well she will receive a lot of money.

If a cop, district attorney or anyone else asks just about your guns, start at the very genesis with the Fifth Amendment. If you speak anything, they can claim you opened the dash of questioning and you can afterwards not claim the Fifth. The second they say "gun, firearm, weapon, bullets, ammo, etc" You claim the Fifth..

SECOND:

Answers: It depends on what type of engineering you're asking about, however, it seem prudent to have a minimum age - it would be thorny to imagine someone lower than the age of 18 qualified as an engineer.

Do I have to recompense?

I was fired from my brief 2 weeks ago. I was told by the store leader i would be getting $600 the next week on thursday. The money never come, so I rang the company. They said I owe them $900 from individual overpaid and for my uniform. I got sent a epistle today stating I owe them $944.03 I was also informed by one personage I knew I be getting fired 1 month ago, then I be told by another I haven't worked for the company for 30 days! Do i have to settle this money to them?

Answers: Do you really owe them the money? When they explain their charges, are they valid?
If their charges are valid, regardless of whether they told you that you had money coming, you owe them.

F@ them! That sounds close to a scam so that they don't have to take-home pay you your money! And what? They think you gonna wear that uniform to your subsequent party? What a trick. They MADE you get it for work. Give it subsidise to them.
