I know someone who works for Dollar General and they be told that if they do not solicit donations for a third party non profit outfit they will be fired.

If he's at-will an employer can fire him for any root that is not federally prohibited (or State statute depending on where you live). I believe from my soul that respectively individual has the right to choose how to govern their own bodies, live their own lives, and breed their own choices.

That said, I believe abortion is the result of this society's continuing attempts to control (thanks to the religious rightwings) women and their productive rights.
If birth control meds were available surrounded by this country as they are in European countries (and hold been for oodles decades) abortion wouldn't even exist. It would be a moot point completely. No woman in her right mind WANTS an abortion, but they absolutely are not going to have unwanted pregnancies because somebody else say they should.
