Using Cell Phones While Driving?
In many states, including mine, it's unconstitutional to talk on your cell phone while driving, unless you use a hands-free device.So I'm curious. What is the distraction?
If the distraction is that you enjoy one hand bad the wheel when using a cell phone (thus the imperative for a hands-free device), then shouldn't the canon have be that both hands must be on the steering controls while driving a car?
Isn't it really that the cell phone is the distraction -- carrying on conversations while you should be concentrating on driving? If so, after they legislated the wrong thing, which is usually the crust!

Answers: It has be shown that it is just as distracting as other things that you regularly do while driving. The individual time its worse is when you take your eyes rotten the road to dial or text. These law are just another luggage of overegulating our daily lives.
BTW, if your cell phone use cause you to drive erratically you can already be charged with operating a motor vehicle within an unsafe manner, so why do we necessitate a special law for cell phones?

I have an idiot today stop in the middle of a departed turn in a busy intersection because he be on his cell phone. Distractions like this bring wrecks. I see people texting or dialing doing a tour all the time which manner they are not paying attention to driving. I'm tired of have to swerve out of the way because some uncaring person can't verbs over and talk on the phone.

I agree next to you, it's not about one-handed driving...it's almost a small group of people who can't drive economically giving 100% of their attention to the road...trying to do two things at once.

It may not be the cell phone within particular - I agree that it's a imperative of convenience for the police. But in broad people purely don't pay attention anymore. I own been driving abundant of our interstate highways (and smaller slower roads) and own seen truck drivers reading the daily, seen women putting on their makeup, see men shaving, I see people turned around to bellow at their kids or bending down to pick up the cigarette (or whatever) they dropped. But, I have to confess what really gets my ire is when I see society dialing or texting on their phones - they're not even trying to look at the road!
The problem stems from the fact that our cars are safer and race take for granted that even if they are surrounded by an accident they'll tramp away unharmed and their insurance will buy them a fresh car. Unfortunately, relations do get injured and they do die. Another entity, high blood pressure resulting from stress is reducing the point of life stale the road. Could their be a connection? I expect so.
Be responsible for your own actions and for Pete's sake, be polite. Will it really cessation your day to permit some one in front of you or break to let someone out surrounded by traffic? Lots of people within Texas drive without a license, especially the individuals who don't speak English at all. I'm not racist or anything, merely telling the facts.
Also, police officer in Houston can't ask almost anyone's immigration status, hence our nickname as a "sanctuary city".
But to answer your press, yes, you need a social guarantee number to get a driver's license.
