RIAA and iPods?

I was told the RIAA can bring my laptop if it's got "pirated" music on it, but say-so my laptop crashed, can they take my iPod or Palm pilot both of which enjoy music on them? And if they take my modern laptop, find there's no music on it, do they have to return it or a unmarked one?
Answers: Well, any device suspected of having improperly copied material on it can be subpoenaed by a referee and seized/investigated by a sheriff with an member of staff of the RIAA present to help collect evidence. But the RIAA cannot intuitively confiscate or keep anybody's property, and even if you are found liable (or guilty) for copyright infringment, the court would own to return your property to you after the judgement has be rendered (minus the infringing material, of course) lacking any unreasonable delay.
they can clear you erase it and pay for the songs or a fine but i truly doubt they can confiscate it , at most minuscule in the USA , but you never know

The interviewers usually said that they are going to do a setting check and let him know. My friend's brother think that he doesn't get the living because of the background check. Will it matter ?

Did he procure a book and practice answering interview questions? Does he enjoy a gap surrounded by his work history? Are there any misspelled words on his resume?

Can I get him busted?

My son's father mail me papers saying they be a complaint for visitation from domestic relations. I took the papers to my county domestic relations and they told me that the papers had to be a imitation because it didn't have their missive head, they weren't mail in an envelope from their bureau, and they don't handle visitation or custody, just child support. He was acting as a organization agency trying to get visitation next to my son from me thinking that it would scare me. So, can I go and get him busted for the fraudulent paperwork?
Answers: The "county domestic relations" you spoke of, is that your State Department of Human Services? I have never hear of a county office beside the authority to do anything in high regard to child visitation, custody, or support. If it is the State Dept. of Human Services, they don't determine visitation or custody, that is done by a consider, however, in my state, they can oversee visitation as determined by a believe to be, if you request it. They also help the custodial parent collect child support if the mediator has awarded it. Therefore, I expect you were discussion to the State DHS. You would think they would be a short time ago a little concerned that he be comitting fraud against a government agency, also since it go throught the mail, it is also a Federal offense. In my state, it is complicated to get DHS to filch one step beyond that which you push them. That may very capably be the case next to yours. Your local Police may help you, as (1) he is within essence attempting to threaten and intimidate you and (2) he is doing it with fraudulent documentation. Both are against the imperative. They will want to see the paperwork from the Judge regarding your visitation, and his missive,so take both beside you. You must be serious about this. They will NOT assistance you if this is just BS rear and forth between the two of you. Also, you could write your State Attorney General, attach a copy of the fathers note, and ask him what can be done?. You can locate his name and address underneath " your state's name.gov" on the lattice. If you could afford an attorney, he may file charges. Some will bestow you a free "first consultaton". If that is not an remedy, you must start a file, document and date everything he does in admiration to your child. It will be very historic if you ever end up within court over your visitation. If a judge ruled on your visitation rights, be sure you stick to them by the letter, so that you do not afford the father anything to hold against you. If this is all an agreement between you and the father,(no court ruling) it is expected that you will eventually end up within court to get it permanantly settled. I hope you both will take home the welfare of the child your first priority, not "getting back" at each other. Good luck.
you might if you can prove infront of an athority that the papers be fradulent. go near your custody domestic relations people to the police and show them the fradulent papers. if they can, ask them to start a record in defence this guy tries anything again.

A business ethics dilemma. Who am I loyal to? Friends or Employer?

Ok, here is my dilemma. I am a subcontractor "C". I acquire paid by contractor "B" to do work for administration agency "A". Now, 3 of my coworkers who are employees of "B" are getting wooed to come work for "A" and they hold already gone on interviews with "A". These 3 are the squad leaders on our team and are the invaluables for the troop. If they leave "B" and progress to work for "A" there is a arbitrariness for "A" to quit funding "B" and in turn I, "C", would lose my funding. I am, however friends near the "B" workers and don't want to turn on them. But even if they get fired by "B" they can other work for "A". Now if I tell "B" control what is going on they may fire the leaders anyways and it may make us lose our contract or I may be insufferable by the "B" workers. However, they may be able to give the leaders enough to stay next to "B". Now if I don't tell "B" control what is going on then in that is a chance "B" will lose funding and adjectives 17 of us will be gone. So what is the ethically right thing to do
Answers: R u're friends going 2 pay packet u're bills?

Learn to separate work from friendship. That is a tough one and I got a bit confused next to the A, and, C thing.

My medical malpractice case be given a judgement of non-pros by the judge but wasn't dismissed. See Below>

The defendent (the hospital) demended a jury trial, so a settlement is out of the press.

What I want to know is whether or not my case will probably still progress to court, since, as I mentioned above, it was given a judgement of non pros.

But in attendance does not seem to be such a personage, the lawyers are unwilling to devote themselves to a losing explanation, and non pros is very much a dismissal. It's a dismissal of a caring that is essentially impossible to overcome.

Double Jeopardy?

Person A is murdered. Person B is at the scene. Person B is not charged with murder at the time. Person B is charged beside littering at the time of the crime. The littering ticket states that 'after Person B murdered Person A, person B littered'. Person B pays the ticket. After an investigation, Person B is charged beside murdering person A.

Would entity B be able to stand trial for murder? When he remunerated the littering ticket he pled guilty to the crime listed within the complaint and therefore indirectly pled guilty to murder. It would after be impossible for him to defend himself because he have already pled guilty. Is this possible? Would it be double jeopardy?
Answers: Double jeopardy is being tried twice for like offense. Your scenario would not apply. As far as the guilty plea, it would not apply. Regardless of what the ticket says, he is entering a plea to the charge solitary, not the officer's notes.
Double jeopardy is in the region of the charges and the elements of the charges. While there may be some facts within common between the murder charge and the littering charge, in that are no elements in adjectives (in most jurisdictions) and littering would not be considered a lesser-included offense.

The only exception would be if near were insanely a plea negotiate in the littering bag in which the State agreed to not database any murder charges. If there be, the State's attorney should be disbarred for gross incompetence.
