NY DOT tickets, should I pay or shift to court???
I got 2 tickets from NY DOT State Police, one for grease leake from the engine, the other one for not working breake lights on my trailer. What should I do, run to court or just income for them, How much would thhese tickets cost me? :(Answers: Neither.
Don't pay the ticket.
Don't shift to court.
Keep in mind that, a traffic ticket (or "fix-it ticket", same thing) is nil more than a notification that a supposed "violation" has occur - nothing else. It is NOT a legal bill.
Also, realize the fact that, beneath U.S. and Canadian law, you never properly pay a levy, fine or tax in need first being issued a bill.
So, to purloin advantage of this certainty, here's what you do:
You write a letter to the NY DOT along the lines of the following:
Dear Sirs, I want to thank you for notify me of the violation about my vehicle.
I would like to compensate this fine as soon as possible.
However, it is vital that I receive an actual bill for my accounts.
This fine will be paid within full by me upon receipt of a bill.
Thank you for your consideration, John Doe
Now, I would be predisposed to bet that, the NY DOT does NOT have a system within place for sending out bills. What SHOULD happen, is the NY DOT won't know what to do next to your request and pitch it and your ticket in the trash, absolve you of any responsibility for the supposed "violation".
You made a good creed effort to take-home pay the fine, so you can't be held liable for "not paying the fine".
If on the odd prospect, they do wind up sending you a bill, consequently at least you can speak you kept government honest.
If a immense number of us started doing this, then system would stop trying to shove so much crap down our throats.
It's important that we label government make out that it is the SERVANT and we the people, are the MASTERS.
Something else to keep hold of in mind is that, contained by a Libertarian society (unlike the current police state), you would not be held legally responsible for a leaky engine or non-functioning vehicle part, UNLESS it somehow destabilized someone's person or property.

Would capital punishment lower crime rates?
Answers: I imagine if it was done contained by the right way, yes. The problem beside the way its done today is it take too long to carry out punishment. If your guilty of any crime involving children such as kidnap, molestation, murder, or any combination; after being sentenced you should be brought outside the courtroom and shot. Same go for multiple murders, or kidnapping and raping women. If these useless wilderness of good oxygen weren't allowed to sit on demise row for years at a time and just taken out as soon as they're senteced, they might reckon twice before doing some of these crimes. Its time we brought hindmost "an eye for an eye" type of justice, because the path things are right now, where on earth it seems that the criminals own more rights than the victims, is not working.
Yes, if it be used more.
In 2005, there be ~16,000 murders, but there be only 60 executions. Clearly, if nearby is less than a 1% prospect that you will get the loss penalty, next it isn't a deterrent. We need to increase the number of executions by 10 fold or more, next it would be a deterrent.
no because the world is fighting for itself. right or wrong!
Probably not. The one and only thing we can do to lower crime rates is to protect our amendments, and by that I mean, everyone have guns. That would lower the crime rate alot. Look at Switzerland. They have a super low crime rate, why? Cause everybody have guns, and if anyone does anything bad, they capture shot. What incentive is better then knowing you hold a high break of dying before you even carry to the legal system?
Its kinda resembling the guy in Texas. He saw his friends house getting robbed, call the cops, they said to let them stir, hes like, "I enjoy a gun," Click, "Want me to shoot them". The lady said no, he said they be getting away, she said don't go out make happen youll get shot, he go out anyways and you hear. "Your dead!" Blam, Blam..Blam. Of course the two robbers died, and the guy be arrested for killing them, but its a decree there to protect your things even if you slay them, only he be protecting his friends, which the law states you can if you enjoy permission by the friend.
Of course that be a huge story, who would try to rob there again? If I hear that I would steer clear of there. Now, suppose if everyone had guns, not lately the criminals like they are trying to do. They offer kids anti depressants and give them stern videogames, they go gun down people next to guns, then the command says guns must be prevented! Of course, itll be like New Orleans where on earth all the innocent family, the law abiding citizens, they will own no guns. The government will and so will the criminals. Crime rates will stir up massively.
Short answer, everyone owns guns. Every state has the policy where on earth killing someone isnt against the law if you are protecting yourself, home, friends home, or the government tries taking your belongs produce they suddenly think its illegitimate to own. Crime would plummet in every state.
No no no no.
Take murder for example. If you can conjure up the state of mind you would be in to want to annihilate someone and actually start to do so, You could see in your mind`s eye there is particularly little room for thought. Capital punishment is soooo wrong, it is a knee go into spasm reaction to concern, submitting completely to the worst in ourselves. Look at any place that have capital punishment. Crime rates will be equal if not greater.
The punishment is not a deterrant from the crime. Proven too many times to count.
Poverty and ignorance breeds crime. Solutions to poverty and ignorance will lower crime rates.
If you other do what you always done, you other get what you other got. Insanity is doing duplicate thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Does property punishment lower crime rates? Never has. Will bloodbath more than we do now lower crime? The beating will continue until morale improve.
Wanna lower crime? increase literacy, job skills and employment opportunity. Will that eliminate crime? No, but it will step farther, cheaper than capital punishment.
Besides deterrent, is within a place in society for income punishment? Certainly. Let's accept that society have to be protected from psychopathic sociopaths and those intent on doing GREAT harm to society, and give specious arguments out of the equation.
No, look at statistics for crime rates now. As an example, CA have the death cost and violent crime is rampant throughout the state, matching is true for other states with the release penalty.
Part of the problem beside the death cost is that the process takes years, because of appeals and reviewing the suitcase, in short it's more expensive than keeping them locked up minus parole.
The best way to lower crime rates is to combat the cause of crime such as poverty and unemployment, that would significantly drop off crime rates.
Yes, it has be so effective here within Texas that no one have ever murdered another person ever. Oh linger, I'm sorry, that's not accurate.
Yes, it's been so significant here in Texas that a lesser amount of murders have happen. Oh wait, I'm sorry, that's not accurate...
No.
No. Within the United States, antagonistic crime rates are higher contained by states and regions with the annihilation penalty than within those without it. No credible study have shown that capital punishment deters others. Criminals do not regard as they will be caught, let alone punished severely (if they conjecture at all.)
BTW, the loss penalty costs much more than natural life in prison, mostly because of the legitimate process, which is supposed to prevent executions of innocent people. And 48 states (all except New Mexico and Alaska presently how life in need parole on the books. It ability exactly what it says.
Is it the governments place to relate us how to raise our children? I here that within is a bill being?
considered making it immoral to spank your children in the State of Illinois. Well give in it, I don't think that children should be abused and I feel abusive parents should be placed surrounded by jail, I touch very strongly that adjectives children need their butt popped from time to time surrounded by order to prevent them from growing up tobe delinquent.Answers: No, the government is into our business too much as it is.
Hillary say it takes a small town to raise a child. I wonder how my ancestors ever get the job done living contained by the frontier and farms?
We stipulation to let our representatives know that if they want a return trip to their posh go style of ruling, they must conform to us, not us to them.
No!
It never hurt the generation in the past. Spanking and abuse are 2 different things.
Children today own TOO many rights, and not adequate discipline
Empty rhetoric, publicity stunts at the cost of the taxpayer's piece of mind as well as their piece of pie. We adjectives know the difference between spanking and abuse, I remember human being spanked for stealing from my father's wallet to this day, and I remember the look on his frontage, that he didn't want to spank me and was embarrased, but that he have to. I will never forget my and his shame.
The state of Illinois sound approaching a bunch of cretins.
This decision nearly kids is world wide probably made up by ppl who hold not had kids.
Because of the no spanking directive we now own so many kids running in the region of not knowing right from wrong.
The do gooders of this century are wrecking lives of families.
I'm sure glad I have my 3 b4 all these stupid change, yep they copped a spanking when needed and my kids did the same to there's and adjectives are great kids all immediately adults and working
I agree with you. The logic (mis-guided) is to prevent child ill-treat. But these abuse law are and have be in place for a long time. Yes, we shouldn't whip a child or anyone else for that matter, so why covering ambiguous laws that can confidently be abused and would make you a criminal to essentially touch your child.
I be spanked on occasion as a child, no injure done. I'm a father of two young children and enjoy never spanked them and likely never will. BUT, criminalizing a spank? Government's brief is to serve not control the people.
Just another UK rip off?
report broadcast again reveal another rip off this time via supermarkets and price fixing, definitely the watchdogs have done the commission they were employed to do, specifically to thier credit, But, the fines imposed by authority, are in the millons of pounds. My request for information centres on that markedly point, where does the fines money shift? How much of that public money is comandeered by the lawyers,I know it would be impossible to compensate the public directly but, some sort of cost should be applied to the stores concerned, that would.Answers: Rather than imposing a fine, conceivably they should reduce the price of dairy foods so that they truly make a loss.when they enjoy lost sufficient for it to be a punishment.they can trade as normal.later at least the public bring back something out of it.this way not a soul wins, the shareholders lose, the public lose, because they will increase the prices elsewhere..hold you noticed how adjectives the petrol prices seem indistinguishable whichever supermarket you go to.
The fines run in to the Court system, so backbone in to the public purse. I agree the stores should trade at a loss on dairy products to compensate the public.
What are my rights if I tested inconclusive on a pre-employment drug test?
the nurse not here the room and left my example sitting for 3 miniutsAnswers: to retake the test, i believe
I believe that you could feasibly request another oral exam, stating that you believe the sample wasn't processed appropriately, potentially skewing the result.
Although, I'm not sure as I've never have to worry in the order of pre-employment drug tests - and haven't done anything that would motivation potential issues in nearly 15 years.
Yeah...so what.
They get a long list of possible force that didn't test "inconclusive"
They any tested good.
Or Drugs.
You a moment ago slipped thru the crack there..
You hold no Rights when it comes to an employer's choices...
They can hire you, they can ignore you, they can hire you, afterwards Fire you because of poor performance...
So what's that 3 minutes get to do with it? Time to progress stale? Time for the competition to sneak in right contained by front of you (you said 3 minutes) and whack your sample??

Do I have a covering, if not whats the best point I can do I live in Texas. More to story but this is the brass tacks?
I was charged next to no call no show and I wasn't even planned to work that day (sat). So I come to work mon. with no problem, wasn't even notify that I had be charged and it was typical workday. However tues. I call in because my mom be at the hospital. I made several attempts to call my supervisor beside no success so I finally vanished a message. Upon arriving at work wed. I was told by the operation managers that she have notified corporate and took me sour payroll. I explained to her the previous days events told her that I had call in. My supervisor said I didn't beckon in or even move a message . I was afterwards told by the operations proprietor that since I hadn't called within for 2 days ( sat and tues) , she thought I have just up and quit even though I come to work mon. First of all, I have even been notify or written up and that not company policy . The operations governor just assumed and I quality that this is wrong and I don't think that companies should be capable of do thisAnswers: Basically, unless you have an employment contract, Texas canon considers you to be an employee "at will." That technique you can be fired, or you may quit, at anytime, for any or no reason.
Generally speaking, your termination is wrongful solely if it violates your employment contract, or is unlawful nouns. For example, most employers may not discriminate base on sex, race, age, religion, or disability, but they do not own to have a angelic reason to fire you.
Just within case you do enjoy an employment contract, I suggest you do not disclose any more details in a public forum such as Yahoo Answers. If this casing is important to you, I suggest you speak confidentially beside an attorney.
...welcome to "Corporate America"... unless you own a work contract or a union examiner who will be your advocate, you are at the "notion, will and hand" of your Corporation... If you have some "documentation" to support your claim you might enjoy an opportunity to defend your engagements... sounds like "someone" be look'n for your "head to roll".
How librarian can Justification for Internet access?
My IT department is asking about how to defend my Internet access, Please send me your how effectively i can writeAnswers: One primary purpose for Internet access to to know how to obtain cataloging information from the Library of Congress.
Book reviews, databases, author sites, etc., allow you to provide honest educational service.
If you are a librarian it would seem to be only inherent for you to have Internet access.
How could you possibly own the knowledge of books and other library resources minus having the instant worldwide communication that the network offers.
It seem as if your superiors are either shallow or outmoded fashioned people.
Perhaps you should hope employment elsewhere, it does not sound resembling your present employer is ready for the 21st century.
Depends on how several porn sites you've hit. Documentation is ALWAYS key. What are you doing, who are you finding info for, are you doing research to promote your department's efficiency?
After the reality notes are inferior contemporaneous ones, but better than none at all next to other corroboration.
Can you really go to put in prison if both partners that are have sex are underage?
i want to knowAnswers: Yep, in premise its possible even between consenting minors. Depends on the state and the District Attorney. Other factors can enter into it as capably.
Many states are changing their law in "Romeo and Juliette" cases where on earth there are singular a few years difference in the ages and they are dating.
Is it assault to throw a snow ball?
I've be following the story of the guy who threw a snowball at a fellow workmate and is being charged next to assault. Now I find out that he is also being charged near sexual harassment for brushing his mitt on her behind.I've have my behind brushed and never thought of it as sexual harrassment.
What is the world coming to?
Answers: It depends on who it is and the relationship between the thrower and the throwee.
In this covering, I think the lawsuit is ridiculous - but meet to America.
I read that story; they are prosecuting a foreign student for throwing a snowball.
I was pleased to hear this because this must mean that nearby are no more murders, they have hermetic the borders and the is no more terrorism.
That must be the case because otherwise they would not spend in dribs and drabs their time and my tax money by chasing a guy that threw a freakin snowball.
They enjoy to be bored!!!
It is easily persecution if he did it before, especially if it be intentional. Unintentional? Not harassment, but if he have made other advances towards this personality then the brush on the booty is glibly seen as intentional.
If you hurt someone next to any material intentionally it is assault. It isn't assault to throw a snowball at a friend because you know them (unless they've told you to stop), but if a stranger walk by you can't do that to them...
I've wondered about this a great deal because my mom rolled down the window to see to her right while at a stopsign, because the glass had fogged up, and two racist men threw a snowball into her vehicle! I wonder what they would do if someone did that to their mom. Anyway, good entity I wasn't there.
Either the maltreatment has gotten to such a bleak point that she is offended by every little touch as she is afraid it be meant within a sexual way, or she is trying to use every little moment and turn it into a lawsuit and cause money off of it. Either path is sad.
I focus this world is insane. People are either agency to sensitive or they are outright psycho. I can't imagine what my grandchildren will hold to put up with within a few decades. I can't even watch the communication anymore because there is so much negativity and murders. No one stops to soak up life anymore. People are too thoughtless to think roughly other people's feelings and instead fill themselves first hurting a lot of individuals in the process.
I'm simply glad I live in an nouns where nearby isn't too much drama, its very low switch. People still act human towards respectively other and take the time to savour everyday. Nothing is taken for granted!
He didn't just "throw a snowball".
He and two other fully developed co-workers were harassing and taunting the girl as she departed work because of complaints she'd made about him at work, and as she tried to procure away he threw a chunk of ice at her and hit her surrounded by the back of the go before with it. She needed medical treatment for the injury.
This wasn't a short time ago fun and games, this was a on purpose attack to "get even" for a problem he have with her at work, and the assault charge is without a flaw justified. The unharmed "it was purely a snowball" story is being pushed by his defense attorney.
The other co-workers weren't charged because they didn't throw the chunk of ice at her team leader.

I write from the UK I do not often read other answers prior to submitting mine, surrounded by this instance I did luckily, Many answers give opinion that are not, fully conversant with the facts of this satchel,It would appear from a more <informed person> that, the snowball in cross-question was within fact, ICE, and it hit the woman on the back of the person in charge,Who then required stitches,to be precise, an assault, the action of placing his hand on this lady short, her permission could be, construed as an assault, and possibly upheld contained by a court of law.
.Samantha, if you enjoy access to the full case within question, you Will <enjoy all> the true situation.not hearsay.
My work is trying to make me pay packet them?!(what is your opinion)?
Ok, so ive worked at subway for about 5 and a partly months now, and we of late got a topical mananger about 3 weeks ago. There are approaching 7 other people who work at hand, but only nearly 3 people work at one time(in a day). At the finish of the 2nd week that we had our up to date mananger, $30 dollors went missing. So everyone working that time had to retribution $10. We only own one register, and before we ring someone up, we enjoy to put our own number into the computer, so that we all know who be on the register. We have 3 cameras above the register, and 4 around the store contained by other places. But what i dont get is why we own cameras if they cant look back to see who took the money??? We only just automatically had to discharge?? Im 17, making $6.60 an hour, so thats an hour and a half of my time, merely given to thm because someone else stole some money,... i cant see that being fare. $10 might not give the impression of being like much, but is that not crappy that they own 3 cameras but wont even look to see who really took it?What should i doAnswers: Unless they can prove that you stole the money, they cannot force you to pay anything. And they cannot dock your clear for it either. They are trying to railroad you and your fellow co-workers. What have happened is that someone have lost or stolen $30. They will either own to investigate who did it and punish them or fire all of you for self careless.
If they do agree on to fire you, they still cannot get any money from you unless they sue you and prove contained by a court of law that you took the money or it be your negligence that cause the money to be missing.
It really sounds close to you have a childish, overzealous manager i.e. afraid that he is going to look like a fool to his superiors if he doesn't take the money. Don't back down from him because he will keep hold of doing this to you and he will start to take other liberty with you and the society you work with.
Also, contact the Department of Labor for you state and see what he is allowed to do as firing you may not be an pick either if he have no proof that you were responsible for the lost brass.
I don't CARE HOW many cameras they enjoy, how much MONEY is missing, or even WHO took it.
It is against state law for an employer to DOCK an hand for missing money, tools, or equipment UNLESS the employee have been given ABSOLUTE control over that item.
IF you be the ONLY person next to a KEY to the register it is STILL illegal for the command to dock your pay. He can put on trial you of theft and stand the storm if you establish to sue him for improper dismissal (no actual evidence of the embezzlement, only a suspicion) and prosecute you surrounded by court (level of proof needed is quite high) but he cannot dock your compensate.
Tell the manager that what he is doing is ILLEGAL and that you want ALL of your docked money pay for IMMEDIATELY. Any delay on his factor and you will go to the State Labor Board and report it AND record a grievance to get the money subsidise.
DO NOT let him afford you some song and dance something like your loosing your job or ANYTHING else. Remember, HE TOO have a boss, one who is responsible for seeing that any action of his force (especially the manager) does NOT tip the boat over. A report of this type (improper docking of an employees pay) will CERTAINLY be of interest to the State Labor Board.
Also, DO NOT concern yourself beside WHAT happens to the other body. Your concern is ONLY about YOUR wellfare.
Good luck. And DON'T be a wuss in the order of this. Go in and hit them large and continue to hit them elevated untill you get your money hindmost.
Well, in the UK (and it seem in the US) that's dishonest; they need to know how to prove who was responsible for the loss, and recuperate that money, either through an informal "fine" if that's permitted surrounded by the terms of employment, or through legitimate action.
Sounds resembling your new boss is incompetent and is trying to cover up the certainty that he doesn't know what to do.
I had a similar event come up to me but it was a great deal more money and I lost my job.
What I know before loosing my undertaking was that the cameras surrounded by the store were nearby for display only. I be working night shift within a convenience store and just started checking it out effect I was working within a "bad" neighborhood. To say the lowest I was hugely surprised because there be cameras everywhere but not one worked.
I got a beckon late one evening from the store checker accussing me of stealing over 1000.00 and that I was going to be arrested. Lucky for me the owners finally figure out it was the governor doing the deed but none of this would enjoy happened if those cameras in truth worked.
I would ask to see the tape from that year and if it can't be provided then I would really consider finding another assignment and I would not "give" them money you earned because if they can't show you the video then they in recent times "stole" $10 from you.
In every US State this is illegal.
When you move about to work tomorrow tell them to hand over you back your $10, and if they don't you'll shift to the labor board.
I'd also contact the District Manager and make sure he know that his store manager is breaking the labor tenet and potentially exposing the company to all sorts of fines and penalty.
I would also, of course, be looking for another career.
