Fair or Not: Apartment checkout was fine, but tenant hired a cleaning service and charged $160 from deposit?

They did send me a account from the cleaning agency, but why should they be able to charge me for this when I did adjectives the cleaning stated in the lease? What be the point of checkout or even of cleaning if I was going to be charged for the cleaning of the complete apartment anyways? I am planning on e-mailing them to request a copy of the checkout sheets.
Answers: I am a landlord--what they did is most likely unlawful since you say aloud the chek-out was "fine". But re-read your contract-- it may state that the apartment is to be cleaned professionally at your cost. Also, yes, you involve a copy of those check-out sheets. And next time do not set out the property without one--signed by adjectives parties!

Some unscrupulous landlords own a phoney cleaning company and just pocket the money from tenant they think they can achieve away with cheating. Check to see if the company is real--check the phonebook and the city business license division.

If you really cleaned it powerfully, and you have proof, (did you whip pictures at move-in and move-out?) or the check out sheets indicate that it was verbs, hiring someone is questionable. However:

Be sure you are really clear on what is and is not considered cleaned--that is very earth-shattering.
Also very important--ask them for a detailed report from the cleaning company--if they claim they do not hold one get it directly from the company--if they don't own one you are in luck --maybe. A manager is required in most states to detail exactly what be done, and how much it cost--not just "cleaning". you can threaten beside court if they do not give you your $$ back--and if you do hold to go to court be sure you ask for court costs within your claim. (But again, check your contract--it may not allow you to claim court costs so you'll have to weigh the facts sensibly before you sue.)
And for the place you moved to--detail everything--in writing, near the manager or manager present and a witness if you can. NOW!!! Before you've lived there long ample for anything to have built up dirt, loose caulk, scratch, tears, etc. TAKE PICTURES!!! Put the date on them if you can, or put a newspaper beside that date on it in the pictures every few shots. Do this in a jiffy also, and do both again on move-out. And tell your friends too.
I disgust bad tenant, but I hate discouraging landlords more!
Good Luck!
Usually, cleaning and normal "wear and tear" is not deduct from your security deposit. But your rights oscillate from state to state, so it's hard to confer you a more specific answer.

If you think you are entitled to the full deposit, skipper on over to the small claims court.
What good is a tally.

Anything that is commonplace wear and tear is their responsibility unless it is written contained by the contract you have to verbs the carpet!

Take them to small claims court!
You can argue and complain, but within reality in that is little you can do in the long run that won't cost you more than $160 within time and effort.

Next time when disappearing an apartment, just realize that they are going to hire a cleaning service anyway, regardless of how apposite of a job you do on the road out.

Keeping that in mind, do a hurricane lantern cleaning of the apartment (so it isn't trashed) and save your time (and a headache), subsequent time.
If you checked out clean, why don't you hold a document signed by the landlord or his rep?

Regardless, you cannot be charged for majority wear/tear/dirt on the apartment.

What you should have done is taken pix to show the condition when you departed.
They all do this,Sweety!
It doesn't event how clean you are, they still use any excuse to sqeeze more money out of you.
Mainly it is because they know most renters cannot afford to rob them to court.
We are all going to own to videotape ourselves cleaning & narrate the tale,to justly get hold of our deposits back!
Bad renters own caused alot of this demeanour from landlords, but i have rented from slumlords ,highly often,
Who are freshly plain greedy!
WELL YOU HAD A SECURITY DEPOSIT THAT IS USED FOR DEDUCTIONS? USUALLY THESE ANAL PROPERTY MANAGERS WILL SAY HEY YOU MISSED CLEANING THE TOILET CORRECTLY OR SOMETHING. I HAVE WORKED IN APARTMENT AND PROPERTY MANAGING FOR 15 YEARS AND SEEN IT ALL. JUST CALL THE PERSON THERE AND TELL THEM TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO GO CLEAN THE APARTMENT YOURSELF ON THE AREAS THEY CHARGED YOU FOR. THEN SEE WAHT THEY SAY. IF THEY DO NOT COMPLY THEN DONT PAY THEM A NICKEL.
IN MY EXPERIENCE I MOVED OUT OF THIS PLACE THAT HAD MICE. WHEN IT CAME TIME TO GET MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK THEY BALKED AND SAID I NEED TO CLEAN THE RAT **** AND CLEAN THE BATHROOMS. WELL GUESS WHAT I TOLD THEM. ANYWAYS I GOT MORE THEN MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK SINCE I TOOK PICTURES OF THE **** ALL OVER THE DUMPY APARTMENT BUILDING.
BEST THING IS TO PHOTO AND DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.
Check the lease again.

It may have a non-refundable cleaning deposit tabled. If that is the armour, no matter how verbs you left the place, he still get to keep the money.

If the check out sheets are adjectives marked as "clean" or "acceptable" or "done" and in that is nothing specifically tabled that still needed cleaning, you can point that out and tell him have he informed you at the time of the check out, you could have cleaned the item and save yourself the money. If it was adjectives marked as OK, I would emergency my money back contained by full.

Rephrased: Burger King sold me a salad that was fresh through Thursday. Today is Friday. Do I enjoy a case?

THis time I changed the wording and added some more detail.
Today, when I be getting ready to walk to work I stopped by Burger King to get some food. I took the drive through.
I ordered a side salad beside ranch and a Jr. Whopper.
I ate the whopper while driving to work and once I arrived at work I ate the salad. I in recent times opened it up and put some fruit farm on it. It kinda looked brownish to me but I ate it anyways. After I got partly way through I looked at the freshness sticker higher than the cover of the salad and it said "Fresh through Thu". Today is Friday. I know I should have gone put money on immediately but I be already at work. Also, how am I supposed to tell right after I draw from the salad? They pack their stuff up and put it in brown tabloid bags. No-one really checks the freshness sticker right after delivery the salad. Plus I had a 5 cars flash right behind me.

What would y'adjectives do? That kinda peefs me off. I ate an outmoded freakin salad and dont even know how long its been sitting over within.
Answers: If you didn't notice any problem beside the freshness, why would you even consider that there be a problem unless you are an unmitigated ash-whole? A little brown is not unusual with some greens.

If you didn't return it without delay, you have no proof that you did not buy it on another year than you claim. Also, that is a "best by" date, and mode nothing except you bought it too early surrounded by the day for the fresh salads to enjoy been made up. The same entry is done in every restaurant, which is why you never put away out on Monday unless you want all the weekend what`s left.
It ain't gonna kill you.

Don't post this over and over. See the answers to your first try. If you chew over you need to make the addition of explanation, that's what "additional details" editing is for.
Your one of the reason why a bowl of lettuce costs $4.00 in restaurants. Just appointment the restaurant and get your money vertebrae! It's everyone wanting to sue over every damn little thing that have made restaurants throw out perfectly accurate food. Just to cover their butts. If everyone were not so sue joyful, we could charge less.

What is the difference from a lawyer and attorney?

Answers: None.
Basically 'attorney' is the American English word for 'lawyer' (British English lawyer).

The first contact below has a more comrehensive discussion roughly speaking the difference between these and other legal profession lingo as well (eg solicitors, barrister, counselor).

There's also a forum (see second link) that have a discussion on the subtleties in the spoken language and contextual differences of these words.
In the USA, nothing.

Either path, they are the object of joke and little respected by many.

Can a privately owned Humane Society have the right to take your animals?

Ok the humane society cam to our house the other day and tried to administer us a citation on our horses and i refused to sign , They took pictures of my horses and etc minus my permission and since i refuse to sign the citation and was rude to the officer , the commander of the Humane Society is coming to our house to inspect himself and in a thoroughly blunt way pretty much told us he be gonna be very nitpicky and he have the right to seize out animals. I looked at within website online and it says they are privately owned so, do the in truth have the right to lift our horses? And note* our animals are absolutely fine , nearby not skinny, or abused...for the full store and pics of our animals see my question titled "Humane Society ..get there own rules" surrounded by the horse section of yahoo answers/

I worked for a humane society and they break law all the time because they have a feeling no one would ever grill them
Privately owned, but licensed by your state to enforce the laws of your state concerning treatment of animals.

Others enjoy suggested that you contact your local authorities to verify status of Humane Society in matter like yours. Regardless of what effect the HS may have, you should do this.
It doesn't event if they are privately owned, it appears the state granted them the ability to hijack animals and enforce laws on the subject of their care.

What i really want to know, is what character of condition are these horses in that you hold the humane society after you about it?
yes they can

Were you obeying traffics laws? Was your car parked somewhere it shouldn't be? Have you had it parked in one spot for a really long time?

I know people write down lisence plate numbers to tell the police in such cases. The problem with cars being parked in the street has happened a lot where I live and the neighborhood association reports them about once every other month.

If it was just someone walking by your home or car and you /know/ you weren't parked in a loading dock or parked illegally, then talk to your local police and tell them. They might have had an unpleasent reason for writing down your liscence plate number.
Steal your identity ruin your credit your life, Call the police report it , take a copy of the report and send it to all 3 credit agencies and everyone else on your list that know the personal details of your life, really this is no joke, the police first it will make your life easier than what you know

What happens if defense attorney does not appear surrounded by court does plaintiff win the case?

I am within litigation as plaintiff pro se in a coup¨¦ accident . I am disable becuase of happenstance but judge granted attorney fees for defense. Motion audible range was dated and defense attorney never appeared to court. Judge ask to lurk 10 min or the case be mine. He gave them extramural 10 min. Then sent me home. Now defense attorney rescheduled another hearing date.
Answers: You missed a honest opportunity to move for a default ruling that a lawyer would not enjoy missed. You cannot undo that presently, and so you waived your right to complain almost the no-show. The rules of procedure can be tricky, but a pro se is required to follow them just as an attorney is.
No and yes. but U inevitability to follow ( read the rules on civil procedure)the rules,, that is the knob to defense some things u will find there check register for appearance, record for answer ( No answer and your right to shelter denied), u got bind sidedddd, etc. , motion for sanction against attorney and tax to U, ? why are u pro se and not defended by insurance co., etc etc .

bill g...
Either the audible range is on another matter,
or you're a casualty of your own malpractice.
Sounds to me like the consider was giving you an
opportunity to move for a ruling when the
attorney didn't show up and you substandard to do so.
You did not say if the defendant be present.

If both the defense lawyer and the defendant be not present, your advocate should have made a motion without beating about the bush for a summary judgment. If he did not do it, your advocate is an idiot. If you do not have a legal representative and are representing yourself, then you are a double idiot.

If the defendant be there after rescheduling can be done as you do not penalize a person because his advocate did not show. The defense lawyer can be fined by the court for his ruin to show.

Answers: If you are over 18,the checks should be coming in your term unless you have be deemed powerless to handle your own finances. I don't know the explanation you are getting SS,but if it is for a medical condition that they believe you need assistance beside financial matters, that might be the sense. Only way to find out is to contact SS and ask them.
I seriously doubt that at age 18 you are entitled to any sort of Social Security Benefits on your own. Have you worked TEN years already? Do not think so.

If you are getting the SS check because of your mother or father one disabled it will only hold coming until you are 18 or out of high institution whichever comes later. That is because they are getting the check to support you as their minor dependent. It is not so you return with pocket money. Once you are old adequate to work, you get no more benefits, even if you still live at home.

It is not YOUR money because you did not earn it. If you move about claim that you are not a dependent and you want to be emancipated, you lose the benefit.

Best advice. Shut up, travel to school and graduate. And if your parents dispense you any of the money, it is gift from them, not an entitlement from the senate.
