Who protects the rights of the mentally handicapped?
There is a woman here that has the mind of a child. She say that she was raped by a police officer, it doesn't come across that anything is being done something like it. Is there any place that protects her rights so she can enjoy justice?Answers: ACLU.
Your state will own a mental health ombudsman -- if you're powerless to locate that person on your own, dance to your local mental health association, psychoanalysis center, or MR/DD center.
You could check the phone book for adult protective services -- I reckon they're located in respectively state, too -- it's their job to protect incompetent and aged adults from exploitation.
If adjectives else fails, turn to your local department of job and nearest and dearest services, and ride them until the cows come home.

i have of late read the most applaing story about the passing of Tahla Ikram.this little boy was subjected to the most horrorfying file of abuse at the hand of his step mother and then unseen by his father.
they got sentences that range form 9 years and below.
He died because of the complications that these horrific attacks caused and adjectives his attackers faced be manslaughter charges.not murder.
what i want to know is'nt it about time we vanished off from the "nanny" culture and grew up.
i am sick of audible range about babies dying and the alledged attackers getting lighting sentences because of laws that are still base in the works o shakespeare.

I had my roommate arrested for credit card fraud and stealing and pawn my Grandmother's rings. i bought a set of rims from them bout three and a half week ago. i haven't gottin my rims, a bid, nor an email my girls credit card been charge and the rest waz compensated with my debit. in that not answering there phone or won't reply to my emails. can i sue? i a moment ago want my rims or money back. i've see alot of complaint on them wished i did my research earlier i even got stalled in this mess. somethings are to well-mannered to be true. any help would be appreciated.Answers: First report your claim next to consumer affairs. Research wheel vendor and see if you can get information. Most gearstick wholesalers wont give you their or any confidential information but possibly an alternate phone number.

Did you receive a purchase confirmation? What did it say in the order of the shipping date and times? They might not have have your rims in stock. Three and a partially weeks ago is not a whole lot of time really.
But if you truly quality you have be ripped off, and you own called, written, emailed and faxed to every contact number below, your girl should contact the credit card company and protest the charge.
As for the debit card, you may hold to sue in small claims to go and get your money back. Try reporting it to the Better Business Bureau to see if they can mediate and win the company to return your money.

man i know exactly what you are talking roughly speaking. i ordered two sets of wheels and tires from them resembling a month ago. i paid profusely of money you know... anyways i still don't have them. when i first ordered them they would answer the phone. but for close to the last week i hold been callling them and not a soul even answers the phone not even an answering machine, i enjoy also send them e-mails but zilch guys any hopeful tips???

This bright security and i be talking and presently he went told my boss 3or 4 weeks subsequent, that I said some inapproprate things to him and thats a lie. Just for the narrative I have not partly saw him in those 3 or 4 weeks. P lus when i saw him I wouldn't agree to him anymore and I don't know if that anger him to write my boss some weeks later. Why would the City Manager deny my request for resignation?
In late August I submitted my note of resignation, because I wanted to pursue different work options. Originally my final day would own been today. However, second thursday the city manager asked if I considered necessary to transfer to a different department which better utilized my skills, so I said I would.I submitted my request and interviewed for the position. After my interview I sent another letter stating that should my transfer not be succusful that I would extend my second day until 9/28/07. I a short time ago learned that my request have been denied, minus being given a plea, plus the job posting for my current postion is anyone advertised. What does this parsimonious.

It channel that they valued you and wanted to hold on to you, but that you indicated you would still be unhappy and disappearing by the end of the month.
They want both job to be filled by someone who is enthusiastic and looking forward to staying on contained by the long term.
I guess the merely question remaining is whether you are expected to show up Monday contained by the new position, or whether you are very soon unemployed as a result of your resignation from your ancient job and your fiasco to accept the modern one on the terms offered.

Youtube Videos Featuring Underage Students?
I friend of mine owns a dance company that tours around the state to coach classes. We have be filming some of the classes to post on youtube as trailer. I know a lot of family are sue-happy these days and I be just wondering in the region of the laws about videos resembling this.The videos show 10-30 second of choreography in groups. There are no voice other than the music i.e. playing and there aren't any close-ups of the students' face...

Answers: I'm not sure what the laws are. I know that when I sign my kids up for college, Little League etc. I'm usually asked to sign a release to give sanction for photos of the kids to be posted on the Internet.
