Decriminalized usually means that conduct is prohibited, but it is not a criminal offense. It may be subject to civil sanction, etc. It is INCORRECT to say that possession of marijuana have been decriminalized contained by California. Possession of marijuana is still a crime, although the maximum punishment for less than an ounce is solely a fine. With a doctor's recommendation, marijuana can be possessed and used for medical purposes, but beneath those circumstances, marijuana possession is not decriminalized, it is legalized. You dont utter how you found this out. Was it a background check for employment? If so, you merely requirement to ask for the report, so that you can find out what jurisdiction is reporting this.

I am so sick of hearing that this is just because the guys who beat the white boy up are black. If relatives wouldn't make such a big traffic about it adjectives, it wouldn't have escaladed to this point...but anyhow...

So, as a resident of Louisiana, this S*it is everywhere. For most of you from up North, you wouldn't make out the racism down here.

I grew up in a pretty much mixed giant school near a graduating class all right in the 300's next to about 900 kids total contained by the school. You hear stuff resembling that. Most people in recent times blow it off. People appointment others names. Is it right? No. But they're kids.

If the shoe be on the other foot, though, it would be all over the place as far as the communication. If a group of white guys beat up a black guy, it would surely be considered racism also. Sadly, racism exists and it's still pretty strong down south, especially here in Louisiana. I, by no scheme, am racist. Alot of my friends in big school be black. I heard from them and from the white kids at academy all roughly the name calling, but logically, it always go both ways. Blacks talk nearly whites, whites talk around blacks. It's just skin color, general public! Some people are so shallow as to one and only see the skin color of a person.

Do I judge a few kids who got contained by a fight at institution over something so stupid (name calling) should spend 22 years in prison? NO WAY! It only goes to show how screwed up the system is.

For the purposes of this subsection (2) lone, the term "felony" process any offense punishable by death, natural life imprisonment or incarceration for more than five (5) years under the law of the jurisdiction in which the crime is committed. In addendum, grand larceny shall be considered a felony for the purposes of this subsection.

From my reading of the tiny subdivision of the statute you repeat here: If your friend was arrested for a misdemeanor while out on bail, he qualify for bond. If your friend was arrested for a felony that carry less than a five year prison sentence while out on bail, he qualify for bond, unless it is grand larceny.

Otherwise, he sits within jail.

Which is where on earth he should be if can't manage to stay out of trouble long ample to finish one trial before he starts another. For his own protection. Geesh.
