Can My Employers Get Me Out Of Long Term Jury Service?

I was summons a month ago to do jury service for the standard two weeks. My jury service starts within a few days time which my employers be fine with. But i received a dispatch from the courts saying the possible covering im going to be on is estimated to last 12 weeks and if this cause problems i need proof to be excused from 12 week jury baggage. I asked my employers and they go mad and said i cannot dance for 12 weeks and have written a note as proof saying how they will lose business minus me. Is this enough to be excused...as clandestinely i would enjoy man on the jury for 12 weeks? Help

The letter will probably be adequate. Your employer is required, by law to hold your charge for you, but if your being gone cause them a hardship, it is possible you will be excused.

Am I getting punished for being too nice?

Today I be driving on road where construction is going to convert this road beside signals to highway. Posted speed limit is 45. I be driving in 50 - 55 speed contained by left lane near cars ahead of me also driving same speed. Then I saw white car standing contained by shoulder( This was police sports car. With no sign that it was police sports car.) I thought in my mind I don`t know this car wishes to merge on the road. There be no car aft me. So I thought maybe if I go into right lane he will be able to merge. There be truck in right lane driving at 40/45 so I thought to overtake it from moved out lane & increased speed. & Police cought me. I know & God knows I be trying to help somebody to take merged on road. When he was writing down my ticket another cop come to chat with him & both be talking within. I am just consciousness these cops or system expects everybody to be so perfect does anybody close to that exists. Don't these cops do something wrong (like this cop was chitchat on duty & wasting my time.) maybe cheat spouse ...

Law enforcement officers that taser to punish are breaking the canon. It is an example of the misuse of technology and there is the threat that it become routine to taser people at the fad of the cop.

Tasers scare the hell out of me as much as guns do. Fearing the misuse of tasers by cops make me fear, not respect,both the police and the gov't i.e. supposed to protect me from harm. I grain we are turning communities into prisons with cameras and tasers. The use of tasers can wipe out and efforts to minimize that reality by cops who feel comfortable using the taser at the slightest provocation within a minor police encounter, like a traffic infringement stop, concerns me a great deal.

Answers: I cogitate using a taser is ok if the person is insurmountable. However I don't think it should hold been used on that guy contained by Florida. There was approaching 8 cops there they should hold been competent to arrest him without tasering him.Actually,I don't reflect on he should have be arrested. Educate yourself. Why is the criminal the victim? A man resists arrest of poses a threat to an officer and a taser is used, and suddenly the criminal is the object? Yes it is, but using a taser to force someone to submit when they are acting belligerent and disrupting an event is not.

Taser related abuse is uncommon. You seem to regard it's systemic, but I can think of Meyer's grip and another one involving a kid that needed help that be tasered (the latter was clearly a baggage of abuse). Meyer's case is borderline; I saw the video and I reflect the cops acted within their right. It be an event and they were interested within restoring order. They be not going to give Mr. Meyer any more probability to rudely dominate the event.
