The police will probably come and talk to you, but they will want to know your side of it. Just describe them about the trouble the darkness before and also, exactly what you said. You make an excellent point, and I've never really thought in the region of it that way. The federal drug legislation pushed through by Nixon is one of the basic reasons for prison overcrowding surrounded by our country. What's the real purpose of putting a drug user, in possession of their drug of choice within prison for X number of years? I'm not a drug user myself, but I have smoked a bit of weed contained by my younger days, and was never a threat to society.

I'm Irish, and although we solely have a few black ethnic group, we have a long tradition of racism against the "tinkers" (nearly as doomed to failure a word these days than the n-word). They are not racially different, but most those would know them by their accent. They also prefer a nomadic lifestyle, which used to be tolerated by the "settled community", but is discouraged by everybody now.
All the same characteristics are attributed to them as are to black inhabitants by racists surrounded by the US, they make up a disproportionately glorious percentage of the prison population, and there are simply very few who ever manufacture it to third level schooling.
So it's in actuality not only a national but a social issue, and only tuition in the home for the "normal" relations and real pains by schools for integration can even start to overcome it.
