We had a contractor come out to fix our septic system. He estimated $1,800.00 to move dirt from a hillock over to the septic field and, that would solve the problem. During this project they knock over a bunch of trees from the treeline near the area and left them lay all over the courtyard. They also rolled a tractor over the tank and broke it. They asked us to pay packet for half of the reservoir (which would be $300.00) I told them I would pay it if they moved the trees. Not individual did they not move the trees but, the dirt they moved caved within after the first rainfall, (even though we asked if we would need to install a retaining wall and the contractor said no) Some time have passed now but, we lately called them stern out and they haven't addressed the problem. I stipulation to know if there is anything I can do or, find some path to obtain free decriminalized advice. We may enjoy to sell soon and can't own the yard gone looking like that. We don't own the kind of money to settle the contractor and fix the yard.

Answers: 1. You don;t pay cheque the contractor a penny.
2. Did you get an insurance card from this piece o'work? Yes, then directory a liability claim. No? Then you have to sue him. It will pocket time, probably more than a year to resolve.
3. Check his license. The license file at the town, if in attendance is one, will probably have an insurance tag in it, though as possible as not the insurance was cancelled months to years ago for nonpayment.

Get officially recognized aid and sue the hell out of them if you can't afford a lawyer and see if one will progress pro bona (meaning doing it for no cost to you) or else hold the lawyer bring in them fix your yard and clear back partly the monies you already shelled out to them.

The email is evidence, but be prepared to establish that this is definitely his email address. If he tries to claim he didn't dispatch that, you need to be prepared to produce a few other emails you get from him with that return address.

Depending on the amount of the loan, you can dance to Small Claims Court. Be aware that the SCC limitation is on the amount of Judgment, not the amount of the debt; if the debt is 10,0000 and the SCC stricture is 5,000, you can still sue, but you cannot get a perspicacity over 5,000, and you lose the right to sue over the rest.

That can definitely serve as evidence, and is far better than nought. If required I think the internet company can verify when it be sent. Get a copy of it hand signed by him if you can - that would be better. Good luck.

The opposing legal representative supenaed my primary doc for med. records. His communiqu¨¦ of request stated the request was by certified letter- but contained by fact sent standard 1st class. Answers: When I prep a case for trial, I dispatch the first round of subpoenas by both first class and certified mail. There are several reason for doing so, including simple courtesy: if the doctor's office is not overt to sign for the certified mailpiece, then the first class mailpiece contains alike information, and the doctor can respond.

Serious Vanity Question...I need abet! Really!?

OK, I've just received another freaking award for what I do at work. I've be doing it for quite sometime, and when I look around the business, most race have roughly 3 to 5 of these awards, certificate, etc, etc. I just received my 31st...I close to the knowledge gain from meeting the requirements.

I hold a nice office, but I debris to put the framed certificates & awards up on display. My assistant other complains that I just stack them within the corner...

My fear is this, if I put adjectives of them on the walls, it'll look like I'm bragging. Have you ever walk into someone's office & found the walls covered w/ awards & accomplishments & such, and thought: wow, this guy's full of himself.

I approaching to think my travels speak louder than words...or in this defence: certificates & awards...label sense?

Seriously, I suspect that most of us, including me, own nothing comparable. I congratulate you on the account of these awards, but more than that, I applaud you for your humility and your sensitivity to how this looks to others. While you certainly deserve the admission that comes from doing your job ably, I agree with you that 31 of them is a bit over the top. In reality, I would argue that displaying all or even partially that many diminishes both their rush and your achievement.

My suggestion is that you put up 4 of them from multiple time periods, including the most recent one. That, it seem to me, is tasteful. That others who don't know you will not know that you've received this award 31 times does not change the reality that YOU know it. Congratulations!
