Can I legally shoot a personage that has broken into my house within the state of Virginia?
Answers: You have the right to shelter yourself with toxic force if you reasonably perceive that your life is mortal threatened. Of course your definition of 'reasonable' has to be validate by police, a prosecutor, a grand jury, a style guru and ultimately a jury if charges are brought against you. Use of lethal force within your own home (often referred to as the 'castle doctrine') to defend yourself have always be treated with more kindly in the equality system. Some states also require you to take the route of retreat if it is reasonably available to you. My suggestion is the research uses of fatal force in self defense situations within Virginia to get a concept of that states stance towards the subject.
It seems approaching this one should be a no-brainer under English adjectives law, but apparently it's more complicated than that. From what I could find, Virginia's "Make My Day" canon is only proposed at this point. The version vary somewhat from state to state but it allows you to shoot someone who breaks into your home and not take in court trouble. It is named after Clint Eastwood's signature phrase surrounded by 1983's Sudden Impact.
A couple calls to police or courts could report to you for sure but they might ask why you want to know.
I am not sure about the imperative of self defense in Virginia.
But NO jury will convict you for shooting a character who broke into your home.
Two things to remember if you shoot in self defense
1. NEVER move the attacker, even if he does die outside, despite what decades of "experts" enjoy advised. Leave the body alone!!!!!
2. Never shoot to execute or to wound, shoot to stop the threat. That way when the attacker is kill or wounded, it is their own fault for presenting the threat. (Two shots to center of mass and one to the team leader stops threats very effectively.)

Answers: My wife and I are teacher and love the profession because we love all our kids and want to see them jump far in existence. We have also skilled children that are in the foster guardianship system and are having a rock-hard time with that so our heart simply breaks that we can't do more to help. So.i'm near you on the orphanage thing. I would friendly up an orphanage/school and manage it intuitively.
I would also donate some bux to United Cerebral Palsy and buy a lobbyist to help win stem cell research pushed through Congress. (My oldest son has CP)

I am not sure why the US justice system care about MLB players taking steriods. your question is flawed however, Barry bonds is not one charged with Taking steriods, He is mortal charged with crimes he commited giving nouns under oath. Perjury, Obstructing Justice and so on. There are abundant people who testify that they used steriods and are not being charged becuase they give honest testimony.

Today 2 supposedly cable men entered our property while we be gone (for 20 min only) and they had unlocked our proceeds and jumped our backyard balustrade to get to the other side. When we get home they were within then I call the cops. We do have a no tresp. sign on our mailbox surrounded by the frontyard, they said they didnt see it. As we were waiting for the cops to come, these 2 get in their van and run away. My husband and I hopped into our car and followed them while on the phone beside the 911 dispatcher. We finally caught up beside them and the 3 cop cars stopped them. At the end the cops said we can't do anything because they are cable men, they enjoy the right to walk into our property. But they have no id beside them, no uniform, and we weren't home, they unlocked our gate and jump the back balustrade, to me this is an invasion! They said the only item we can do is contact Bright House Network because they are subcontractors and make a complaint. Is that it? They be very unprofessional!Answers: You can bid the cable company - you do not have to matter with their vendor; they should have some sort of credentials and/or a work order to show that their presence on your property is lawful. A loathe crime is when your attacker calls YOU a racially charged moniker when he beats you. Or, more commonly, an attack on a gay man is a dislike crime.
When you call THEM a charged designation it's a different game.
It would be impossible to database a hate crime lawsuit contained by this case if you weren't factor of the minority races.
However.
You can still record a lawsuit against them for pain and suffering you get from the beating (perhaps a "punitive damage" lawsuit), even lacking a hate crime involved.

What charges get file are a matter for the prosecution. You can request that they look into it as a antipathy crime but that doesn't mean the circumstances will suport the claim.
The definition of a dislike intensely crime is different depending on where you live. Typically, it involves a crime comitted because the intended martyr belongs to a group hated by the perpetrator. If this gang attacked you primarily because you are not Hispanic, black or white and used cultural slurs about your ethnic group later that would be a hate crime. If they attacked you because they're a bunch of punks looking for trouble after it's not a hate crime.
Personally, I give attention to the hate crime law are useless. I don't see why beating someone while calling them nams should seize more attention than beating someone in need calling names. Physically attacking another personality is an act of nastiness. All such acts should acquire equal penalties.

Animal Experimentation, What's your take?
Is it something we own to have to relief cure diseases such as diabetes or polio? Or is it somewhat unecessary cruelty to animals? Is it something we have to own but they could treat the animals better?Answers: It's sickening what is done to animals. This is why I don't buy products that have be tested on animals. They suffer so much pain, eyes burned and blinded and worse. But I don't goal to rats being used. They are horrible to get going with. As far as curing diseases though, I don't know if near is a better way. I indeed hope so. However, I do think we necessitate stem cell research. Those against abortion will disagree, but I am pro-choice, and I do not think it cruel to oral exam something that is no longer alive. But, I do not condone partial abortion. If not done contained by the 1st trimester, it should never be done. Nor should it be used as a means for birth control.
