My friend's livelihood was threatened if he talk to another coworker. Don't know why but I do know that them talking doesn't interfere beside their working duties. I always see them working as they articulate. They always finish their work. I don't carry why they're doing this, its kind of messed up.

Copyright laws And Wal mart?

So...I bought a book at Wal-Mart for my sister. She already have it, so I went to return it more or less 2 weeks later. Wal-Mart customer service told me they do not return books because it breaks copyright law. They will only pinch a return within 24 hours of purchase.

My question are: what copyright laws? And if this is a federal regulation, how is Barnes and Nobles and Borders allowed to take returns up to 30 days?

I think through that some people would read the book and next return it, but the binding on the book was watertight. i did not even open it up to browse inside.

Also, their return policy does not state this contained by their exception to the 90 day return policy. I am update with the coordinator tomorrow and I have emailed customer service. I will be calling them tomorrow also. I be just wondering if I have missed anything, and if anyone has have this same experience.

The Walmart member of staff was misinformed.

It may be Walmart's policy to not thieve returns, but taking returns (even opened, read, and soiled ones --- or ones 50 years old) cannot involve copyright law.

It has be my experience that often Walmart workers are poorly trained and not informed of procedures and policies properly. A manager may be the route to go.

It have nothing to do next to copyright laws. Their low-paid workers don't know what they are discussion about. It's probably lately a store policy to stop people from reading and returning.

Can my employer force me to change the date of my vacation?

I've be with my company for nearly 15 years & obtain 3 weeks paid time off each year. Due to my soaring seniority I got first dibs on choosing leave dates put money on in January. I chose to pinch two consecutive weeks in December.

I merely got a fresh manager who also have high seniority. She also chose one of one and the same weeks I did. She is now axiom I must change my 2nd week to another Dec. date because she is going out of town (Christmas week). Is this allowed, or even allowed?

Here is my gripe: I've had this leave planned since Jan '07 to spend Christmas overseas with my family unit. I may have to repeal these plans because I have unforeseen financial matters I obligation to take supervision of (major house repair & finding new tenant for rental property. Good timing cuz my tenants move out hours of daylight before break starts). If I don't get it done afterwards I lose money on potential rent & I really need to be at the house during construction.

Can she really force me to cancel/change date 10 months after I made plans?

Quite often the deadbeat's wages are garnish. The government simply take the money directly from them. If they aren't working but are able to work consequently they are arrested and put in a minimum payment prison on work release to earn the money to support their children.
