Answers: In Saudi Arabia, where on earth this happened, women enjoy NO rights - at all. They cannot be in motion outside their home without a manly escort, cannot drive, cannot attend school or work. They must wear complete coverage. They enjoy no say surrounded by the home or the government. They are considered chattle...close to goats or sheep.

While rape is a crime in Muslim countries, and a *convicted* rapist will be punished, it is VERY difficult to attain a rape conviction under Muslim regulation.

A woman cannot legally testify against a man surrounded by a Muslim court. Also, Islamic law doesn't allow forensic or circumstantial evidence, simply confessions or eye-witness testimony from a mannish Muslim.

So if a woman reports a rape, the rapist usually can't be convicted unless he confesses, because there is once in a while a witness to the crime. If he is NOT convicted, then the woman who file the complaint is usually charged and convicted of fornication, because by reporting a rape she is held to have admit that they had sex. Without legally recognized proof that she didn't consent, that's a crime.

Also, of course, even if the woman is not criminally charged, it's adjectives practice in Muslim countries for the father / brother / husband of a rape object to kill her for bringing shame on him.

Easy answer: any country where on earth religion controls everything and is all powerful, women will be trampeled on.

I tend to agree surrounded by all honesty. Ive worked on a till within a supermarket, and its a nightmare when the customer doesnt speak english, and I know for a fact seriously of elderly people would a bit go to a white checkout girl, the elderly approaching to chat, and Ive had reasonably a few tell me they wont jump to anyone other than a white girl.
