Do adult children own legal rights to parents assets after their loss if parent is remarried?

My parents divorced then both remarried. Do I enjoy legal rights to thier assests after thier death? Does it matter if they hold a will or not or what state they live in?
Answers: Your parents own the legal right to control what happen to their assets on their death. It is their right, not yours.

If they breed a Will or a Trust and name you as a beneficiary, later you have a decriminalized right to whatever they articulate you get.

If they don't gross a Will or a Trust, they are said to have died "intestate." Then the state they are living determines what happen to their property. (The exception could be out of state real property). In essence, because the parent have no Will, the state makes a Will for them.

Most state tenet provides that if there is no Will, afterwards some assets will go to the unsullied spouse and some assets will go to the children. Exactly how this division take place is determined by the law of the unique state.

Lastly, certain things are distributed by operation of regulation and not by Will. This includes assets that are held as "joint tenants" and beneficiaries of existence insurance or pensions.
The solely time you can claim parents assets, under any circumstances, is if you are name in their wills.
If parents die lacking wills, and if there are assets, the state decide who gets the money.

My mother is suing me because some one busted out her living room window and she assumed me or my girlfriend have some thing to do near it. we didnt of course. The aim she thinks we have something to do with it is because my girlfriend and her do not close to each other and they get into a altercation earlier that week. My girlfriend and I be both out of town the day it happen so we could not have done it. Can she really sue me and WIN??? What should I do?? What defense do i hold. Does she even have a bag????
Answers: As long as you have proof that you be out of town your aliby will hold up. So you have zilch to worry nearly, she has no proof, you cant lose a travel case based on a people assumptions.
If you are a minor, no. If you can prove you were out of town when she say it was busted, it's her dime. The individual place to sue you would be in small claims court and she have to pay a file fee.

Was the skylight broken from the inside or out? If it was broken from the inside, who else might own been within the house?
She can sue you. But she will have to own proof. Otherwise, she cannot win. Your defense is that you did not do it. If you were out of town, produce a witness or some register to show you were out of town, similar to a gasoline purchase receipt, nouns line ticket, motel receiving.

WHAT should I DO A VICTIM OF EXTORTION?

I WAS CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AND A GUY KEEPS THREATNING ME HE WILL HAVE ME PUT IN JAIL IF I DONT PAY HIM FOR THE DAMAGE I CAUSED WHAT SHOULD I DO IS WHAT HE DOING ILLEGAL WHO SHOULD I TELL
Answers: You really need to see a legal representative. You want this problem to go away faintly into the night.

What the subject is doing is called blackmail: Threatening criminal prosecution to gain an assistance in a civil issue. It's illegal, but not a soul would prosecute him if in certainty you did the deed.

That said if you did the burglary and you cause damage, you are justifiably responsible for the damage. If you ever get to court and were convicted, the sort out would order you to foot restitution. Even if the DA didn't prosecute, the victim could still sue you and gain a judgment against you.
I hope you hold a good advocate. If you are representing yourself, definitely make clear to the judge going on for this.

But if you did actually commit the burglary, afterwards this would not be extortion, it would be a settlement offer, and clearly legal.
I devise you should pay for the interrupt and stop trying to weasel out of it you slimy thief

Is abortion right if your rapped?

Why or why not?
Answers: Well it comes down to respectively female's mentality. Sometimes religious believes could influence their decisions and sometimes it doesn't. A feminine could decide to abort the child due to financial and heartfelt reasons such as inept to afford raising the child or she doesn't want to hold the child of someone who scarred her physically and emotionaly. Another womanly may choose not to abort the child if she is religious and thinks doing so is against the teachings of her religion.

As for me instinctively in the shield of rape I would choose abortion.
You mean "raped", right?
Personally, I'm pro-choice, so I don't really keeping.
But if the US HAD to be abortionfree except in one grip, I'd want it to be rape victims.

It's not their fault they get raped.
They shouldn't have to live beside it for the next 7+ months.
Are you kid? Abortion is right if you get tired of morning sickness.

Abortion is right if you are going to own a baby!

Abortion is right if you do it for your neighbor.
As far as I am concerned, it is not the child's glitch. Abortion is still not right in this situation.

I be aware of for the mother, and understand this would be an immensely difficult time. The child still deserves a coincidence.
The easy answer is it's simply up to the individual to opt whether it's right or wrong for them based on their one and only circumstances.

In the eyes of many who are religious (and surely some who are not), it is wrong because they spectacle it as killing an innocent child regardless of how the child be conceived.

I don't like abortion, but I believe it should be up to the individual to agree on.

As for the morning after pill, I notice nation have given low ratings to answers recommend this method of preventing pregnancy. Don't confuse this near the abortion pill! The morning after pill WILL NOT abort an embryo after fertilization has taken place. It's call "emergency contraception" and it's essentially a very strong dose of the contraceptive pill women help yourself to daily. It prevents ovulation or fertilization of the egg. I would right to be heard that it's way preferable to abortion.

Have any one ever had be robbed before ?

by their own parents or friends ? that never realize come to pass to you ?
Answers: That's not robbery by definition.

A workmate has told us her mum be so cruel to her as a child.her mum was a drunk .?

She be adopted as a babe in the hope the mum(THE woman who adopt her was the drunk) would stop drinking but never did. it be down on record by police, arts school and social work dept.no one did anything to relieve.cant go into the stories but it be sheer cruelty.i think she should sue adjectives concerened for not taking her out of that situation.she is now 39.is it to postponed for her to sue.any help would be appreciated appreciation
Answers: Some of these people are cruel. Worse than cruel. Help herself! She be a baby! How is an abused party going to help themself when they live contained by fear! Wow. Anyhow I'm sorry to voice I do think the statute of limitations is up but it would be worth asking a legal representative, they might say otherwise and your first consultation is roughly free. I do think she should acquire $$. If you are abused your $$ earning power can be greatly diminished because of your loss of self esteem and capacity to function. These people who voice money isn't the answer might not really know why she thinks it is.
I be adopted as an infant too, and my "mom" physically and emotionally abused me. I'm immediately 41 and I don't speak to her anymore.

Personally, I don't believe it will help her to sue anyone. It would thieve years of litigation, and even if she won, what would she win?

If she's still hurting, what she needs is counseling, not lawsuits.
What does this hold to do with $$. This is vivacity and all our experiences are different for anything reason. Perhaps to be more supportive surrounded by other peoples lives.

She should get dream therapy and go to Al Anon. She can simply help herself.

We come into the world alone and walk out alone what we do inbetween is up to ourselves
Except for murder the usual statute of limitations is 7 years. There have be cases of sexual abuse where on earth the 7 years started from when the memories first surfaced (though these have be limited surrounded by success). Your workmate is best to consider doing her own work on her own healing and to use the money it would cost to sue for this.

Are parents so self serving that they would brainwash their children with, Why Mommy is a Democrat?

Answers: how do you imagine this country gets more liberal voters. you dont imagine people reason that way lacking coersion do you..cmon.
Oh it's much worse than that! They will brainwash their children with "you better be well-mannered or santa clause won't bring any gifts" or "be nice, Jesus is watching always"

Brainwashing if children has other been done. No one is born a racist. Kids that haven't be taught to aversion will play with respectively other and have a wonderful time regardless of see, religion, national origin, or any of the other divisive factor.
If you don't talk to your children, someone else will
How do children form opinion without audible range them from various sources including their mothers political view

How can anyone argue against that

People should answer whether they are a parent or just a child of a parent
You own posed an interesting question that sparks debate from heaps different viewpoints. I for one remember my childhood man raised by two working parents contained by a very diverse neighborhood where on earth there be many adjectives opinions politically. My folks be of Irish ancestry on my mother’s side and Swedish on my father’s side. My Grandparents on my mother’s side owned a small business and grandpa was also a tradesman who help form the local labor union and be president of it for many years. My father’s side of the relations also was involved contained by family owned business and he worked hourly within various factory as a union applicant all his enthusiasm, mom worked in retail and maintain the household. All were registered democrats and supported the democratic bash. All the male house members served and fought for their country through WWI and WWII . I hark back to listening to political conversations between the manly family member during times of family gathering and it no doubt shaped my viewpoint, but life’s experiences have also help to make me my own man. As a student surrounded by school during the impulsive sixties I remember many interesting debate in sociology class (the one and only class I maintained straight A’s) issues resembling the Vietnam war be a great catalyst for heated debate as well as significant historical events. I remember how you could relay a lot nearly the participant’s background by the stance they took on some issues. You studious a lot around people, indifference and tolerance. Religion, see, ethnicity, political affiliations all played switch roles with the smarter teacher keeping their two cents to themselves. It was a tremendous term of growth and understanding that seem to be becoming more rare currently. It was the melt pot of America. Speaking with babyish folks today, it appears a different approach has be taken with values and thought dictated to the students base on the beliefs of their teachers, those who debate on the side of the trainer are given the floor and an approving grade, those that don’t are ridiculed and cut short. In sophisticated education abundant colleges seem to favor values of any the conservative or the liberal depending which one you choose. Look at Cornell vrs. Columbia. My niece a valedictorian, national honor student, and college graduate from a prominent business school be once told by her college professor that she should get her political affiliation changed to more conservative values. She is outstandingly successful and remains a Democrat by her own beliefs to this day. I remember visit her University and being astounded at the number of foreign made vehicle that were present surrounded by the faculty lot. I asked her about the perceived viewpoint that her mentors had on labor and political values, the answer did not surprise me. In answer to your specific quiz, I don’t think it matter so much as the ability to allow freethinking and expression so that personal opinion and thoughts are fostered and not suppressed.

Reasons why we should lower drinking age to 18?

Ok, so I'm doing a project for my business class. My professor gave me the topic of why the United States should lower the drinking age to 18. Even if I don't agree near it I still have to shelter it as if I care. I'm 21, so it doesn't business to me anyways.

Anywho, for those of you who do care and do grain the US should lower the drinking age to 18, what are your reasons? I'm looking for reason that are thought out and mature and fair, not comments like "so I can't draw from arrested for getting drunk!!!!!!". I have my reason already, but since this is a big project, I need as abundant reasons as possible to manufacture a good argument.

Thanks guys.
Answers: In countries that don't hold a drinking age or it is very low, at hand are far fewer incidences of alcoholism and/or other related problems (domestic hostility, etc.) because people cram how to drink responsibly at an early age.
if you can be at odds in a time of war over seas afterwards you should be able to drink a alcholic beverage. Think give or take a few it
18 is a perfect age
If you can vote for President, interlace the military and go within harms way for your country, be officially held liable as an adult for crimes or contracts, after in my evaluation you are an adult and should be capable of enjoy an "adult" beverage.
Because you don't ahve to keep on
People who are 18 already drink
They should be allowed to try at a younger age
virtually everything becomes court for you when you turn 18, so why not alcohol?
also, in Europe where on earth the drinking is age is lower, people start legalling drinking at a younger age, so drinking isnt a big business deal. Since its not a big deal, race dont go crazy when they receive to college like they do here. its much safer for a lower drinking age.
At 18 the political affairs regards you as an grown (or age of majority in every respect) You can have a flutter, you can buy cigarettes, you can vote, you can enter into a legally binding contract and you can lay down your enthusiasm in defense of your country.

At 18 you are legitimately a fully responsible adult. That man said, at 18 since you are a fully responsible adult lower than the law, you should be given the choice to partake surrounded by any legal hobby that any other legally responsible mature could.
Just to say something different:

Lowering the drinking age to 18 would stifle deaths due to alcohol poisoning on college campus. Many students do not call an ambulance for nervousness of repercussions because they are drinking under-age. This leads to limp students.
a person lower than age of 18 is under the parents support for every human unfinished needsm, also

luck self support
unstable mind
not bold in discistion making
Well pretty much everyone is base their arguments on the fact that a character is considered a legal grown at 18, can marry, vote, go rotten to war, and even so they have to hang around 3 more years to order a beer beside that meal within a restaurant.
20 year olds can't even legally enjoy some champagne at their own wedding.

Take a look at the different statistics around the world, base on DUIs and other alcohol-related injuries. I mean, the US have the highest drinking age contained by the world, and yet that doesn't subside the amount of drunk driving incidents.

Although the legal purchase age is 21, a majority of childlike people underneath this age consume alcohol, and too many of them do so surrounded by an irresponsible manner. This is largely because drinking is see by these youth as an enticing "forbidden fruit," and a symbol of adulthood.

Keep within mind that when underage drinking does occur, it is usually within a very excessive mode. People tended to gulp alcohol within large quantity on those occasions when they could get it.
All of the above answers are examples of weak rhetoric your professor won't close to. They are not really persuasive about
anything.

What might be more compelling though is that this is the one and only law I am aware of where on earth *some* adults are restricted from doing things that are actually plenty permitted for all other adults, on the argument of their youth.

Only exceptions I know of are the minimum ages the Constitution itself places on holding certain office.

Why it won't go put a bet on down is exhibited in your communication: you are 21 so you don't care.

So because the statute affects only a small population, and shifting it would take longer after any individual would be subject to the restriction, it is unlikely anyone will ever organize ample to make change.

It's been ~25 years presently, so that theory seem to be holding ...
All of my sensibilities tell me to save alcohol away from people for as long as possible, but I know that if someone requirements, they'll drink no matter how older they are. It does seem somewhat silly to make ancestors have to be 21 to drink but they can progress to war and drive cars much younger. I'd own to vote for making 18 the legal drinking age surrounded by the US. Now if we could just legislate responsible drinking and driving a pre-requisite.
Oh ably, I can dream, cant I?
Ya lets drop the age consideration. That will reduce the population
I agree beside a lot of what the previous relations are saying. Yes, at the age of 18 you can vote, you can shift to war and die for your country, contained by the US you are legally in charge for your actions as an grown. Why shouldn't one be allowed to drink an "adult" drink? Also I agree with one of the guys previous, if you lower the drinking age to 18 after you are going to lower the crime rates for adults in the age ranges of 18-20. If culture really want to drink they will find way to do it. Granted some permissible adults are a little smaller amount mature than some, we can't conveyance that. The reason underaged relatives want to drink when they aren't legal is because it's unlawful for them to do so. It's that tendency of humans to disobey and mutineer. And the Government pretty much f**cked [pardon me for my language] the US over by telling the states if they didn't relocate the drinking age to 21 that they would cut of funding for highways. [At the time the two be tied together] How democratic is that? You do what we want or we screw you over. That's why eventually Wyoming [correct me if I am wrong but I know it was one state] have to change. They be a more wealth state and thought, "Hell we don't stipulation your funding for our highways, we're pretty rich so we're not going to conform" Eventually they have to fold and change the bound since they had general public from other states coming in and getting drunk since they be legal surrounded by that state as apposed to the one they lived in. And eventually it finished up costing Wyoming money. But either style it was awfully asinine of the Government to do that. Well i hope that helped if it wasn't too tardy to do so.
Right now I'm doing a illustrious school debate around it. I don't believe in the drinking age anyone lowered, but i have to argue against it too. one of the biggest topics we are using is the fact that you gain so abundant other responsibilities when you turn 18. You are allowed to go to time of war, vote, buy/use tobacco, get tattoo's/piercings, run to a strip club, and gamble. If you are surrounded by the position that allows you to define the fait of your country, you should know how to have a beer.

If the drinking age be lowered, there would be smaller quantity adults buying alcohol for minors. Also, there would be smaller amount theft of alcohol. The majority of minors who receive alcohol are around the age of 18.

If alcohol be more easily attainable by minors within would be less binge drinking. Because minors don't carry alcohol very much, when they do they jump crazy with it and habitually drink too much. If they could always have the right to get alcohol they wouldn't walk overboard whenever they did get it.
Il doing this topic for my english class at 18 you are an full-size and you can get married but you can't hold a drink at your wedding thats the stupidest entry
