Is the iPod interface copyrighted/protected?
I'm designing a website, and I want to use the iPod's user interface as the base/template of the site. But is the interface itself protected under copyright? Can I use it minus getting sued?By the interface, I mean close to the white background, equal font, the blue highlight as you put emphasis on a link and etc. Basically a website that's organized resembling the content on iPod is.
The site will strictly be a personal website, with no intention of commercial purposes.
Answers: As I make out, the look and feel will be copyrighted, but on the device.
If you use alike interface on your website and put in a disclaimer that the interface is (c) Apple and you are using it a moment ago as inspirations, I dont think Apple will be in motion out of the way to sue you.
As a massive co, apple has plenty things to worry almost than one personal site somewhere which has a look and perceive as the iPod. Any such lawsuit looks cheap and petty and doesnt go too ably in PR any. As an example, there are umpteen number of sites out in attendance with skins that look resembling Mac OS X. (I know, as I use coppermine photo albums, with a Mac skin).
As long as you acknowledge the Apple copyright, they wont bother much. After adjectives, you are actually marketing their cross.

Sorry I have no clue and I'm unsure why i'm responding since I hold no clue besides the fact that I get hurt on the job as resourcefully but the doctors found stuff wrong with me. I meditate if your personal doctor found you to be hurt then that would supercede the workers comp doctors claims but thats solely me tring to be logical and I have no definite life experiences to underside that on. I have a workers comp attorney which you would probably want to get since they dont come across to be working with you. This permit an individual to have one branch build the laws another enforce and a third to interpret. Since nearby are three independent bodies, there is a greater destiny for justice than have one entity making all of the decision relating to the accused.
