Need advice on getting laptop returned to me - Pls read?

Back within February I had a friend name and his PC's were ruined. I took both of them and left him a router which he said he would retribution for and also told him he could borrow my daughter's laptop because I knew it would be a while in the past I would have time to even sit down to look at his computers.

Well It took me months to sit down to even look at them. I have a surprise pregnancy which let's just speak really took it's toll on me. I'm finally due to give birth any morning now.

I did fix his pc's.

I've be trying to get a hold of him and enjoy only be successful one time and that is when I call his work # from a blocked line. He told me he would telephone call me the next morning but he didn't.

I have not here NUMEROUS messages and I am pretty distressed now. He will not beckon me back.

What do I do? He have a good employment and can certainly afford to buy his own laptop. This is my 12 year olds laptop and it's almost 2 years hoary.

What should be my next step?

Thanks for any suggestions.
Answers: It sounds close to he's dodging you. Was he supposed to pay you for fixing the computers? Send him a certified note, detailing all your attempts to bring in touch near him and his lack of respons and follow-through. Tell him that his computers are fixed, and that you stipulation your daughter's laptop back. Tell him he have 2 weeks to arrange a meeting near you to return your daughter's laptop and get his computers (and settle up you for your work if that was element of the deal). Tell him if he doesn't comply, you will sue him if necessary.

Good luck,
Dana (attorney)
Sue him for the fair-minded market importance of the laptop and router in your local small claims court. It's early, easy and cheap, and you don't stipulation a lawyer (In most States you're not even allowed one)

Note that a small claims court can single award you the VALUE of the laptop, they can't order it returned.

Richard
I'd utter that between the two answers you've received previously, you've got the subsequent steps you need to pinch. Write and send the certified memorandum, including a bill for the work done on the PCs, and if he doesn't respond within the time you specify, profile in small claims court.

Yet another question in the order of illegal immigration . . .?

We've adjectives read the analogy about someone breaking into your house and stealing food . . . and while it initially make sense, could you prosecute this if were not an analogy but certainty. Could you prosecute someone who truly wanted to . . . very well, not starve to death? Could you give the name the police, see them handcuffed, separated from their nearest and dearest, jailed and adjudicated over need of food? I can see both sides of the argument . . . Can you? I'm not talking going on for illegal immigrant who commit additional crimes (for hypothetical purposes exclude them) . . . I'm single talking in the order of illegal immigrant who are here for economic asylum. I'm also not chitchat about seal the borders . . . just could you individually prosecute?
Answers: Yes I could. I belong here (this is my country) and I cannot qualify for any benefits because "my income is too high".

I think that the illegals should jump back to their country and quarrel for their rights, the same as the founding father had to do. It take effort, not newly marching and wave a flag.
I personally know some unauthorized aliens, and while I like them, I still want them to be in motion home and apply to come here legally. Yes, I'd dance for prosecution in your scenario.

Here's a better concept, outside the box of that question...near ain't a thing wrong beside the piece of land to the south...why don't they build a capitalistic/democracy approaching we used to have, and afterwards there's no need to come here and steal?
Who breaks into a house to steal food?

And yes, I would press charges.
1 personality stealing 1 loaf of bread, minute
100000000 stealing 1000000000 loaves's of bread?

Can you justify that?

i cant
It is against the regulation to break and enter. There is no "fine print" on the issue of why someone broke and entered. If they are unauthorized then they should be sent vertebrae and let Mexico become economically nouns so they don't have to enter our borders dishonestly for as you call it"financial asylum". When are you people going to swot that there monetary asylum becomes our (the U.S.A.'s) ecomonic decline...

BESIDES...

There are also other programs available for empire in call for whether illegal or not and these should be prosued first earlier risking life and upper limb breaking into someone elses home.
Let's see, the person sneaks across the border (breaking a law) breaks an entering (also against the law) steals your food (also against the law) and you don't want to convey him to jail where on earth he will get steday meal?????????????
Yeah great reasoning ...

PS
First if you are going to steal shoplifting is much easier than breaking an entering and is a lower offense. Also there are food bank and charities that GIVE food away.

Do you think the GOV will ever normalize marijuana?

Answers: No. It is very simple and I don't work out why ppl ask this question so regularly.

Marijuana can not be made legal because it is a drug that alters the mind and does injure to the body even when used in MODERATION.

In layman's language, one beer does no harm to your body and does not return with you high, whereas, one toke rotten of a joint does.
At some point the gov will standardize. We always follow suit beside the north for some reason.

They just do not want you to be driving alone between undisputed hours of the night or beside any of your teenage friends for the first year or until you achieve 18, which ever comes first. (See California Vehicle Code section 12814.6.) http://www.dmv.ca.gov/teenweb/dl_btn2/dl...

I am pretty sure you can drive at 16 provided you purloin driver's education and surpass the tests.

Explain the liability of an employer for the torts committed by an employer today?

Vicarious Liability. I dont undestand this question and i dont read what vicarious liability is! Any help would be appreciated
Answers: Vicarious liability is also particular by the latin phrase "respondeat superior" and it basically manner that an employer (or a principal) is liable for the torts or wrongs of the employees (or agents). For example, if you get hit by a car driven by a Domino's pizza driver, Dominos would be responsible for paying the damages if their driver be at fault. The driver is also intuitively responsible.

Hope that helps,
Dana (attorney)

My boss said?

Answers: If your eye sight is affecting your career performance than it is legitimate.
You didn't mention what type of job you are surrounded by nor what state you work in, but if your verbs needs to be protected, after you need to wear safekeeping glasses.
If you entail corrective lenses for processing orders or daily work correctly, then you necessitate to get it corrected.
In short if your skills and talent aren't up to the employers expectations consequently he is certainly entitled to stuff that position with someone who can.
Not surrounded by Canada it isn't and no you're not fat and yes you're pretty and no you don't want to eradicate yourself. Anything else I can do for you?

Copyright on old art interview?

I want to make t-shirts using the artwork from the Roman Empire era. Of course, the innovative art is "owned" by a museum, but I found photographs of the art in an art book. Can I photograph the page from this book and go forward near my shirts, since the original artist is long gone? Does the author of the book enjoy protection from my photographing his photographs, even though the art work the author photographed is copyright-free??
Answers: You legally can.. because it is outdated. Same applies to classical music from that era.
The photographer would own a copyright in the pictures of the art. You would own to take your own pictures to use them on shirts. You could also see if you could negotiate a license to use the pictures on t-shirts.

Good luck,
Dana (attorney)
The being who took the photograph in the book would own the copyright to the symbol, even though the object within the photo is not protected by copyright. There are two objects here - the object surrounded by the photo (public domain) and the photograph of that object (copyrighted). If you run ahead with your plan, the photographer would absolutely be able to sue you for copyright infringement.

What do you think of the certainty that a top "intelligence" officer thinks Americans inevitability to redefine "privacy"...

to allow government and business to "properly safeguard people's private communications and financial information" ? Do you want affairs of state to collect and "safeguard" all of your conversations and financial information? Would you agree that if this is what our top intelligence officer come up with that we should redefine "intelligent"?
Answers: Heck no! Its lately another plot from the government to try to gain more control over us than they hold already.
Hehe you have a point near. Honestly if you think give or take a few it, the amount of information out there to be collected nearly any one or group of individuals is outstanding. And can all be access by just just about any company or individual either for the asking or monetary. Needless to say aloud what the government have as well.

Redefining "privacy" I muse would be a good notion, but not with one or two central data basis. This would be to convenient for hackers or other intrusions.
Welcome to Fascism it is knocking on the door, are we going to consent to it in? Once the door is pried unfurl, it opens fairly easily.

Stop it in a minute!
This pisses me off! Our parliament is already too large and spends our tariff dollars poorly. Why they feel they involve to do this is rediculous!!!! Makes me want to move to Canada

Arguing the affirmative of Texas v.Johnson. Is flag burning unconstitutional(opinion and valid points only)?

I would like to know the majority view on the subject as well as the minor feelings to get a better perspective on things. To better argue the subject I would approaching to know both sides of the story as well as valid reason and historical precedence.
Answers: if it is then someone should be impeach!
No, it is not unconstitutional to burn the flag. There is nothing surrounded by the Constitution that protects the flag from being burned.

And the Freedom of Speech within the 1st Amendment is mostly with high regard to political speech, and preventing the government from declare any political speech illegal.

I guess flag-burning is a stupid and futile gesture by inarticulate idiots who hold no intellectual capacity beyond childishly jeering and shocking their betters. But even their public display of idiocy is protected.
Flag burning is a form of political speech, and as such have repeatedly been the judgment that no Flag Protection Amendment has made it historic Congress. The last time that it be attempted was June 2006, but it be agreed that that was a mere political attempt by Republicans to regain support from their end. It is unlikely that the amendment will ever be passed due to the First Amendment. In Texas v. Johnson, the majority (written by Justice Brennen) said that speech in adjectives its forms, not just oral, was protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendments. The minority judgment, which is still held by many conservatives, be that the flag "occupied a innovative position as the symbol of our Nation" and thus deserved protection.

Hey Do they have the right to.(Revisted) ?

About a month ago I posted a press pretty much asking if the security at our soaring school have the right to verbally and physically assault us whether or not we had done anything wrong because usually it didn't situation because they would still act impertinent towards us. So anyway recently a friend of mine who never starts any trouble asks me If I want to dance to the principals office to agree to the principal about payment i turned it down because I knew we didn't hold anything to back it up even so. So she goes by herself and tell the principal about a specific incident she witnessed and the principal replies "okay the security guards hold a hard time swithing between flawless kids and common thugs ". I surface that she i saying that adjectives of us should be treated like "thugs" and i find that disrespectful because I am not a thug I enjoy a 4.00 gpa. I mean possibly that's just me what do you adjectives think of her comment. Does that support security individual abusive.
Answers: In a situation resembling this I would say go and get a group of your friends(ones your parents know and will listen to) and sit down with your parents, and possibly theirs also. Once you receive everyone there explain what you enjoy noted happening, heck even preserve a note book of encounter you or friends have have siting dates, times and as close to exact wording as possible, these tricky facts make a much stronger shield. Let your parents know what is going on, and maybe they could verbalize to the principal or the P.T.A. about the warranty issues the school have taken and ways to make the enforcement personal at the institution work differently then they enjoy until now.

As near most cases the school doesn't listen to the concerns of the students, but if ample parents get involved and product their opinion certain things can change drastically.
Make sure you and the truth do not stir separate ways. Even as a minor you can be held accountable for false statements. I find it difficult to believe surety would put out the effort to physically and out loud abuse innocent students. If you want respect, try earn it. Your accusations should be back up by video cameras, or adult nouns. High School kids do not have a big reputation for telling the truth.
