Am I liable? How can I cover myself?

I have be involved in few saloon "runs". These are small local events that take place every few months. They are not race or rallys, but more of a moving car show. We communicate on online forums and plan to join at a predetermined location. We drive about 2 hours away to a road where on earth we get to interview our driving skills. The road is pretty challenging for unexperienced drivers, but we adjectives just try to own a safe, flawless time.

Somehow I ended up planning the subsequent run. Don't get me wrong, it isn't an organized/sanctioned event. By planning, I simply niggardly that I picked out a date and a meeting place and I post it on a forum. Then everyone on the forums say if they are planning on attending.

After a few weeks of checking the forums, I realized that we might enjoy between 40-50 drivers. I am beginning to verbs about the liability aspect of the run. Am I liable if someone decide to get stupid, or crashes their saloon? How can I protect myself against legal handling? Can I be Sued?
Answers: If you are the acknowledged organizer then you are liable.

But as you said it is not properly sanctioned, therefore, it is not trial. You did put a warning but not a disclaimer or a waiver. It is a document that say you are not liable to any accident, loss or anything that could develop during the run.

It does nouns like something of an organized event. Are you constituent of a 'car club' of some sort? Is here a body that can sanciton these events?

If something happens, logically you will be sued. People do not want to be responsible for their actions. We sue everyone for everything.

Is the event on a public roadway or private property?

Answers: Minors cannot be out on any roads, public places, or buildings past 11:00pm between the days of Sunday and Thursday. Between Friday and Saturday, minors are allowed to stay out until 12:00am. These times simply apply between the seasons of Fall through Spring. As for drinking, with the violent behaviour and anti social behaviour it cause plus the disruption to a persons instruction i think we should rescue it for when school is over, and possibly longer influence 21. But if you are concerned about road fatalities probably 25 would be better.
I think 21 for drinking unless you hold a college/university ID or a military ID, and then it should be 19. This keep the high university kids out of the bars even if they're smart and can step to college early.

19 for both! Heck, it be 21 when I was behind the times enough to drink and vote, and I survived, but I agree 21 is too large an age limit. At 18 copious are still in conservatory. When the limit go to 18, schools saw some kids coming surrounded by after liquid soft lunches for afternoon class.

thats a hard one you know, in the main on the drinking. I know that the biggest majority of kids i know, mainly around the age of 18 to 20, drink because of the rush of it. There is other that chance of getting caught. Then when they turn 21, ok, its trial now, so hell, its not soo fun. Now beside the voting. Hell no, i'm sorry but i don't want a child who has lone the thought of sex, drugs, cloths, and all that other juvenile worries, voting for the next president. Not dictum its like that next to all teens, but i'm not so comfy beside the fact that the biggest verbs on their minds is their hair, and cloths, and making sure they are on the popular index. Purchasing alcohol for a child (even if she is your sister) is dubious unless you're her guardian. You could be fined a substantial amount (up to $5000 I believe). Your sister could also be charged if she is found in posession of alcohol (although mostly police will just confiscate the stuff). The store that sold the alcohol to you could also be fined if they be aware (or should've been aware) that you be purchasing the alcohol on behalf of your sister.

If someone under 18 purchases alcohol, yes they could be fined and even charged. However the more probable consequence would be have the alcohol confiscated. The store will be fined a substantial amount if they should've been aware she be under 18 (ie; if they don't ask for id).
