Is it legal to download a show from a site if I own the DVDs?

I would be making a music video next to songs I've legally bought. It'd be for my own entertainment, not for a site. I a short time ago can't get the clips onto WMM from my DVDs.
Answers: Actually, that first answer is sooooo wrong. You did not 'purchase the license', explicitly so ridiculous. People pay millions for license rights, not $17.99.

When you purchase a disc or DVD you purchase the media as it's presented 'within that format', and for that only. Otherwise, I could buy a videotape of a movie and consequently just steal a DVD copy because I already paid for the movie within another format? No, I couldn't. It's the same next to downloading.

Any way you slice it, it's unfair to download any copywritten material that isn't purchased as a download or provided free by a website, whether it's for personal use just or other use. Even if you already own the video and want to download it.


That being said, if you want to bring the clips from your DVDs, you first have to convert them to a digital format. Then you can salvage them on your hard drive and use them beside WMM.

New York "child" in City College turning 21 - end support?

In New York, my child is turning 21, but still in college because she arranged to work full time for 8 months. She will be 21 next week and graduate in June from a city college where on earth tution is all compensated for by grants etc. She is still working 20-30 hours a week at impossible to tell apart job and earn about 15,000 year. Does child support verbs until she is done with university or is it done when she turns 21 next week? Support directive does not specify anything about that. NY regulation says 21 but the mother say support lasts until she finishes university. The mother does not pay taxes or stress her but the "kid" pays her own taxes.

I am going to court for a termination order - any accidental I might have a problem ( other paid prompt - never even late so here are no other issues)

Is it legal for someone to listen on another column or speaker phone to your private conversation?

I was conversation to my son's father and could tell he have me on speaker phone, I told him to take me sour. He lied and said he was not on speaker, but I could report he was. Then he said he be but needed to because he was using the computer -- he never does this. Then I asked who be listening, he said not a soul. I insisted that he take me sour, he pretend 3 times to, but I could tell I be still on. I called put money on on his parent's line (he's 32 and still lives near mommy). She answers on the home speaker phone, I ask why she was listen. She was caught rotten guard by my confronting her and made and excuse that her son was terrified, blah, blah. I asked why I was on speaker and who be listening, she would not answer. He call me later on their estate line -- he NEVER uses their landline, but I get the feeling that someone be on the other line. Is this officially recognized??? BTW, he is trying to get custody of my son -- I guess so his mommy can bring to the fore him.

Well, the rule is tapping almost everyones phone, presently, they are reading our e-mails, arresting anyone that protests the war, as they influence war protester are pro-terrorists.
