Can u sue a hotel for this?

can you sue a hotel ..if you are bitten by bed bugs...?

Answers:
Yuck... it might be hard to prove that you were bitten by a bed bug from their hotel.

I don't know, you should be able to do something.
Absolutely
You cant be serious :/
Maybe write a complaint, and you'll get some credit, like free use if the minifridge for a day, but not for money.
Sue happy?
eww;;
now i know what my mom meanz by "dont let the bed bugz bite!"
xDDD
but thats nasty and they need to keep the hotel cleaN!
so maybe... idk really... ?
Yes. However, you will need to retain a lawyer and it is unlikely that it happened in a hotel because you wouldn't have been the only person to have been bitten. You will need proof such as pictures of the bugs on the bed with a time and date camera, pictures of your bites, etc. If it was a flop house kind of hotel, the owners probably don't have any money anyway. Then you will be stuck paying for a lawyer for nothing. How about staying in a better hotel next time?
you can attempt to sue for anything. It's another question whether you will win or just waste time and money. Maybe negotiating with them for some compensation would be better.
you are part of whats wrong with america. everybody wants to sue because some little trivial thing bothers them...
that is really gross! I would talk to the owners and ask them for compensation first because otherwise you might not have a case unless you got infection or something
no! thats like suing a hotel for getting bitten by fleas that your dog brought.
If the bite hurts or itches and they didnt warn you about them then you probably can
Of course you can. If you have proof.
Well you could but you won't get far or much money anyway. I mean even if you claim you were traumatized or something silly like that it won't amount to much money.

At most they'd just give you your money back or a voucher for a free stay (yikers!).

If you want to get them call the county health department or city health department where this occured and they will go in and shut them down until the infestation is cleared.
Contact the hotel and inform them you were bitten and would like a refund of the hotel expense.

THEN, here is the biggy, PROVE the bites came from that hotel.

IF you have proof go forth, if not you haven't a chance.

Oh and you can sue anyone, anytime, for anything, but that doesn't mean you have a case!
Hi. Iam not a lawyer but in my opinion I would think you would be able to get some resolution. A few questions I would want to ask first though. What state or country did this happen in? Iam sure laws vary from place to place. How bad did you get bitten up? Did you go to the doctors? Did you tell Hotel employees about it?

Then, I would see if I could possibly get a refund first. Hmm I suppose if you would have to contact a lawyer or lawyer friend and find out what your options are. Iam thinking small claims court would do.

And lastly, I would research those insects and find out if you can possibley bring them home and infest your own household or not to take precautions with them so they wont spread if they havent already!
