Work is making spanish speakin take both spanish and english calls at the same rate as english does?

I work for a company in IL. I work at a call center, before if you had a call with another language you would get the language line to translate, but because the company spend so much money on spanish, they forced that spanish speakin take english and spanish, and english csr's can only take english if they get a spanish we need to take the call. AFTER WE ALL GET PAID the same, is there something I can do where we can get paid extra for an extra skill?

Answers:
Depends on the contractual agreement and the job description. If you were hired as a bilingual person to perform a bilingual task then you accepted the conditions and your salary scale. If you were hired just to answer calls and then they added the bilingual part of the deal then you can ask to be compensated for that extra skill. Doesn't mean you'll get a raise but it might mean you go back to whatever you were doing before they changed the job description.

I work as a bilingual social worker and my salary is 20% higher than the non bilingual workers.

You can quit.
You can ask for a raise and find another job if they don't give it to you.
