Shouldn't a lot of Americans be locked up in Guantanamo Bay?

The latest reports says people are hold there because they are regarded as a risk to society since they are found in possession of wapens.

These people were found on a battlefield with weapons and were not wearing the uniforms of any country. That is why they are not prisoners of war. Try reading the whole article instead of just the parts that reaffirm your prejudices.

Inmates at Guantanamo are classified as enemy combatants and are not entitled to lawyers or US rights. Any citizen placed there would be entitled to US citizens rights, and that would open a whole can of worms. The ACLU would be begging to get down there and rip the place apart with their teeth, and they'd have a means to do it. I don't think that's gonna happen.
Perhaps the People in the Govt. and so called christians who approve this torture should be put there for a change.
