The above link was posted by another user to answer a similar question - it's that good I've added it to my favourites. Have a look, the notes (FAQ #7) explain the adjustment for continental shifts patterns such as your own.

That sounds a lot less than the statutory entitlement...get some advice from the CAB
21 days and 7 Bank Holiday .Seek advice !
Don't you have a contract of employment?
i'm not sure if such things are down to the company itself. why don't you check out the ACAS website, you might find some helpful info there. check your contract too - what does that say?
most places are 20 days holiday in the uk not 14 thats pt hours and a day off in lew for bank holidays check this out as i know i am right or have you only been there a short time if you have this might be why you only have 14 days
contact acas they deal with all these issues, they are amazing, for helping the employee, that sounds really low, you should get 28 days in total, that is also including bank holidays, hope you get it all sorted, keep safe all the best.

In the US you're entitled to NONE. The employer grants them voluntarily as a benefit.
Every worker by law is now entitled to a minimum four weeks holiday per year.

This does not include any bank holidays that you should also get off.
That does sound less, i work 38hrs a week and get 21 holidays a year. (This is not including bank holidays).
I believe at the moment the statutory requirement is 20 days - but this can include bank holidays.

However, from October it goes up:

There is a minimum right to paid holiday, but your employer may offer more than this. The main things you should know about holiday rights are:

* from 1 October this year you are entitled to a minimum of 4.8 weeks
* the entitlement will increase again to 5.6 weeks from 1 April 2009
* those working part-time are entitled to the same level of holiday pro rata (so 4.8 then 5.6 times your usual working week)
* you start building up holiday as soon as you start work
your employer can control when you take your holiday
* you get paid your normal pay for your holiday
* when you finish a job, you get paid for any holiday you’ve not taken
* bank and public holidays in Britain can be included in your minimum entitlement
no you are entitled to 1 week in the spring 2 weeks in the summer and 1 week in the winter plus most public holidays as well
i think youre being shafted
If your employment was started under the terms of 14 days holiday and your pay includes payments for all holidays maybe, but I think more than likely your being told a load of managerial crap, phone up your local citizens advice centre and they will put you on the right track, the other alternative is to look for another job that's always open to all of us.

To my knowledge you are entitled to a minimum of 21 days (which includes Bank Holidays) per year and this is set to be increased in October.

Strongly suggest you contact Citizens Advice office or Job centre for ultimate advice.
