Is it illegal to dry clothes in a patio, in illinois?
My land lady has not provided with a washer and dryer and as my parents are visiting, my mother insists on washing and drying her own clothes. My landlady has expressed objection i would like to use my own patio for my own stuff, thus the question can she prevent me from doing so?

You will have to look at your lease. In my lease I am not allowed to hang up clothing in sight to dry. The landlord is allowed to have her property clean and free of clutter.
She can, it's her property so she can enforce that rule
I'm pretty sure stuff like that is not regulated by the state. Check your landlord/tenant agreement. If it doesn't say anything about hanging stuff off of windows/balconies/etc, they can't legally do anything to you if you do.
If it says you can't, just hang up your clothes inside and aim a fan at them. That should work just as good.
I don't think so but I wouldn't be suprised if they made a law for it-Our government likes to tell us want we can and cannot do in the privacy of our own home. Check Illinois State laws website.
