Whats with this?

One time I asked a court appointed attorney a question relevant to my case and he told me he couldn't give me advice because he said something like it wasn't covered by the court appointed privelages or some bs like that.

Most likely you were attempting to ask about your civil liability. Appointed counsel only deals with the criminal end.

If he used that excuse, it's probably because he knew you wouldn't like the answer. And, like the poster above said, pro bono legal aid is not rocket science. They really do have bigger fish to fry!
Maybe file a request with the judge to appoint you a different attorney? I really think you should. If this one can't answer questions, then what the good to have him anyway? Hopefully you will have better luck with the other one. I can't stand this justice system/.
