Are there any laws in California regarding Airsoft Guns?

You are able to contact the Sheriff department where you live and ask them. I did the same thing when my son wanted an air soft gun for Christmas. Here in Nevada people are able to posses them. They have the orange tips on them so that law enforcement and other people will know that they are INDEED not real weapons. My advice would be to call your local Sheriff Department.

I suspect there are. Like most weapons or things which look scarily like weapons to ignorance-enhanced lawmakers, Air soft guns are probably illegal for anyone but violent criminals to own.
Probably would check local laws, but in general, as the poster above stated, nearly all gun look alike (water gun, airsoft, plastic dart gun) have the plastic tip at the end or are an obvious non-gun like color (see through, bright pink/blue/etc.) They become illegal when modified to appear exactly as their real world counterpart.
California is one of the most restrictive states in regards to guns, even look alike guns , which are not firearms. Check with nyour local police/sheriff's office.
