America'snew spy program - YOU - How do you feel about this ?

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States is expanding the use of spy satellites for domestic surveillance, turning its "eyes in sky" inward to counter terrorism and eventually for law enforcement, US officials said Wednesday.
Authorized by US intelligence chief Michael McConnell in May and managed by the Department of Homeland Security, the change will allow more federal and local agencies to tap into satellite imagery and related intelligence products, they said.
It also will expand the kind of intelligence that can be made available to include measurement and signature intelligence, which is used to identify and track targets by their particular physical characteristics, they said.
Charles Allen, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for intelligence analysis, said the main priority is to make more robust use of intelligence capabilities for civil defense purposes.
"The least of my concern is law enforcement," he said in a telephone interview"

I wonder where Google fits in the scheme of things? Maybe the next time you google Bush or CIA it will zero in on your house.
What ever works. It's OK with me.
If it could help with kidnappings I'm all for it. I don't feel my privacy would be invaded since I would be outside in the public view to begin with.

Most ppl want more protection, but the moment something is offered to help with crime you hear "What about my freedom, what about my privacy?" I don't think you can have it both ways.
The government just wont's to keep tabs on everyone. This has nothing to do with terrorist. Just another way to invade our freedom which we have so little of this days.
Anyone that likes Bushes SPY programs does not care for their own privacy nor do they care for their freedoms or liberties. They are followers and have been deceived by our unconstitutional leaders.

NO to the NWO...
You know, I have my own theory on spying. You don't have to worry about Government's Spy program as long as you don't do anything wrong. I have been spyed by the government for more than four years, and I don't give a sh*t about that. Who cares? There are more important things to do in life than worrying about that spy program.
It's about time.
Those that complain about the government invading their privacy are probably the same ones that put their entire life on "My Space". I'm all for more security.
If you aren't breaking the law why would this bother you?
Honestly, people, the government isn't blowing all this money just to listen in on our conversations about what we're wearing tomorrow or where we're going to eat lunch next. They zone out on that stuff. There are KEYWORD systems they use, with word recognition software, where communications are monitored by machines that assign "flags" to certain words, whenever they crop up, such as bomb, al queda, bin laden, suicide bomb, etc. If a conversation gets an unusually high number of flags, it is zoned in on by security agents and is followed through. No random minimum wage loser is listening to you talk dirty to your boy/girlfriend.
Interesting, but you should not really care about this! as those satellites are going to burn in stratosphere in the next 5 years!! Anyways, they will not be very helpful to prevent whats coming... The US is much more scared of its own population support of the war than Al Quaeda, its why they are putting those into such positions, but it will be temporary only..
