I have a question about traffic school?
i live in los angeles,ca. I had gotten a ticket in march and completed traffic school. In july i got another ticket from the california highway patrol. In california, you have to request traffic school from a judicial officer if you have already attended from a prior citation within the past 18 months. Does anyone know exactly what the process for that is?

You would have to go to court and request it from the hearing officer. But the question is why would you want to? Even if the hearing officer allowed you to go to traffic school, it would still appear on your record (only one traffic school within 18 months is confidential), so your insurance company will know about it. Unless you are in some occupation where a DMV point is going to adversely affect your employment, there really is no benefit to it.
Don't know about CA but in TX we have to appear before the court to ask. I think (it's been years) you have to pay the court charges and take the class. Here they will put you on deferred judification for 6 mo. to a year.
So, I think you will have to keep your court date and ask the judge.
