Will any charges hold up in Virginia court of "sexual predetation" or such hold up in this case? (see desc)

Parents want to keep 16 year old from seeing or talking to (effectively dating) a 18 year old. They are threatening legal action. No sexual intercourse is involved. Does this hold up?
