what are the laws on playing loud music in an apartment building..is there like certain hours you can play loud music or what?

you have to play it loud at least for 2 hrs. a day and have to crank it for at least 15 minutes of that day, at least once a week music must be heard coming from your place after 2 am , or you will be cited.
More likely your lease or rental agreement will get you in more trouble than any local laws.
