If the 16th amendment to the constitution gave the congress the power to levy taxes, but not a direct tax...?
The origional founders of this country did not intend for the people to be taxed into slavery, however the constution has been "amended" too many times. Small taxes on people were levyed for small reasons should have been repealed once the need had been met. But there has been no checks and balances, to make sure that thease unfair taxes had been repealed. So we keep feeding the Government cash cow when the government does not even need the people to make there moeny they can make whatever they need because they are the federal reserve bank. So why does the government even need to tax the people if they are trying to force them into submission.
A direct tax is unconsitutional. Then why do our law makers keep supporting something that should have been repealed and they keep raiseing taxes and raiseing their own wages and makeing the people pay for it when the people should not be paying for it. What do you think has this waste gone far enough?
Answers:
Yes, it has It needs to stop. We are slaves and yet some people see fit to defend the government which has enslaved us.
Article I of the Constitution grants the Congress to power to levy taxes. The 16th Amendment allows for a federal income tax. Taxes are not unconstitutional.
This has been argued before and it doesn't work. The Supreme Court says what is or isn't constitutional, not some beatnik who doesn't want to pay his taxes.
Congress amended the Constitution to give them power to collect taxes without having to take into consideration apportionment (the population of the states) this paved the way for congress to tax incomes. It's perfectly legal, the Constitution in no way bans direct taxing, but originally it required that all taxes be apportioned, which prevented a direct income tax, since it would be impossible to implement under those conditions.
Errors in this. The 16th Amendment specifically permits income taxes. And the Federal Reserve Bank does not create money -- it only prints and distributes it. The government cannot spend wealth unless and until that wealth has been created by citizens and collected as taxes.
