Do governments have the right to tell an individual what not to use as a relaxant?
Answers:
No. There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the federal government the power to ban or favor one intoxicant and not another.

People have the ballot and guns. Iraq proves that a determined resistance does not need tanks and helicopters and artillery and air strikes to make the bad guys put their tales between their legs and run.

Yes, they do.
According to my lawyer they do.
If you are referring to an illegal substance then yes they have every right to prevent you from using it.
FDA approves what they want.
They don't have the right to control every single facet of an individuals life but they still try to - so sorry but it is a moot point.
Most courts agree that they do.
Depends if it is a narcotic and you are on probation or in trouble with the law.
I assume by looking at your other questions you refer to cannabis? Well 180 countries signed up to the United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, which was formed in 1961. This was the main international treaty that paved way for modern narcotic drug control.
Articles 23 and 28 specify cannabis in particular. Their have been other treaties since then that have been added onto this.
I am not sure where you are in the world, but here in the UK, drug laws are based on all these treaties. Their are several laws here in the UK that are specifically to do with drugs, this include The Drugs Act 1971, the Medicines Act 1968, and a few amendments of each.
The drug laws were based on opinion a lot of the time and not scientific data. The laws need changing. It is silly that we in the West treat LSD the same as Heroin, or Cannabis is illegal, but Alcohol is decriminalised and cannabis isillegal(and let it be clear, all drugs are governed by law, even paracetamol is governed to an extent, as is nicotine etc)
Yes-but they need to practice what they preach, unlike the british government.
If its illegal then yes the government can tell you not to use as a relaxant, which is a good thing. Say if your smoking cocain you are putting your life in danger and the life of others in danger because when you are high you arent so clever.
